  1. If we go on the assumption that GW2Efficiency are more hardcore players which has been posited in here, it would also stand to reason that those are players who are more likely to have multiple accounts, particularly since GW2 Efficiency is a good way to track stuff across multiple accounts. So, for example, someone with four accounts might have all the mounts unlocked on the first, one on the second, one on the third, and none on the fourth.
  2. From the standpoint of maps and metas, I think LS4 and some of the other LS things were better than all 3 expansions. Cantha seems big, small, cluttered and empty all at the same time. Overall, kind of dull and a chore to play in. So a tie with the other two expansions. My thoughts on classes: Mechanist is a ton of fun. Willbender is OK, but compared to Dragonhunter, just that. Bladesworn is meh. Untamed is meh. Harbinger is meh. Others, I haven't spent enough time with to really judge. Mounts: Skiff is meh, but I don't fish. And o
  3. Who wouldn't want a giant flying turtle that can also execute a bootlegger's turn on the ground? And, you can three-stomp normal mobs with it, laughing the whole time.
  4. I'm having trouble seeing the cultural armors as being ridiculously expensive. They were basically endgame goals at start and are now paltry to acquire, even if you only play casually. Events crap gold and stuff you can sell for gold now compared to the way things were for the first couple years. If you play WvW, they're even cheaper.
  5. I bought it. I'm happy with the engine though. It runs great at 4k on my old GTX 1080 and the game still looks and plays great to me.
  6. I purged my friends list a few years in when I realized I didn't actually like most of them and had them on either because we shared a server or guild. I've added people back since then, and probably have fewer people like that on it, but I can't remember the last time I actually looked at my friends list to know how busy it is. With a couple exceptions, the people I've liked most are in guilds I'm in now and those exceptions haven't been around in a long time. Outside of WvW and occasionally trudging through map completion to finish my Gen 1 legendaries I don't play the game much. And even th
  7. I don't have enough time to play, let alone watch someone else play, even if I had any interest in watching someone else play, which I don't.
  8. Honestly, a break from expansions could be a big benefit - going back over the game and fixing issues, maybe doing some work to update the engine and quality of older assets. Even going back and redoing some of the changes to the 1-15 zones that seemed tacked on and rushed when they changed them. Having those be enjoyable again would probably get me playing them more.
  9. I would say the infinite bank access contract in combination with a shared slot is the best item in the game, but that's a thousand more than you have. I like legendaries, and having all the gen 1s except Sunrise/Eternity, Quip and The Minstrel (everything but map completions for those), I'd recommend Twilight, which while ubiquitous is pretty much the best looking single legendary IMO, or Frostfang, which is highly underrated IMO.
  10. It's more WvW isn't GvP - Gankers vs. Players. And there have been a lot of complaints by gankers complaining they can't gank people. There have been complaints by others, but most of them are the same as the "gliding ruined WvW" complaints that will fade out over time just like those did.
  11. I believe that HoT's difficulty spike didn't make the audience happy because the player base was not properly trained up to that point. ANet bred a player base of full of entitlement with no interest in getting better at playing the game they made. When HoT hit, very few among the player base were ready to deal with the increased mechanical mastery required to participate. Then ANet capitulated when players demanded they either make the maps easier or make future content easier. In the end, I believe that the solution is not too add difficulty in new areas of the game, but to make the baseline
  12. I tried Wildstar late in its life and couldn't get into it... It just want Guild Warsy enough. I played early and late. It had lots and lots of coolness, but the gameplay just wasn't fun to me.
  13. Have you ever considered that most roamers build to out sustain outnumbered fights (whether with mobility or build) since they're putting themselves at a disadvantage and that by putting yourself in group gear you're setting yourself up to kill people like those roamers... except for with a group. So you should be at a disadvantage anytime you're out of position and alone? That it is quite silly to say I can attack and group smaller than me and that is okay but anyone doing the same to me is a ganker? So in short just because you're not dying for your mistakes as often its a good change to yo
