Honestly, with the way the Mist are set up. I think anything is possible. We could very well run into her again, or get hints about what happened to her.

Hello fellow Tyrians! Here at Naked Juice we have one goal and one goal only, thanks to clear dungeons/DRMS/Strikes/ and Raids! WAIT! Dont run away! We want to clear all of this content "Naked". Do I have your attention? Good! I want to find a brave band of adventures, experience does not matter, that want to embark and a brave journey through Tyria. We will take on each dungeon without armor and only starting basic weapons! We can only use the armor that drops in the dungeons and we can only switch to weapons that also drop in the dungeon! We will craft a plan with our classes and work our way through each path until we complete that dungeon! Each dungeon we start over! We want to clear every dungeon in the game but most importantly we want to have fun! Lets experiment with our classes and take our these challenges like never before. Around HoT, but they didn't say that they never would, just that the work vs. reward ratio doesn't make it as worthwhile as, say, a new profession. It's not at the top of their list, but as they move through their priorities, it could potentially still be on the table. I think you're right about that, but by the time we get a new race the game will be on its 10 year mark
