  1. My vote was no. Ranger already has a ton of ranged, so is not a gap they really have. I also don't see them being able to use it in a new way, where as an elmental rifle with Elementalist would be pretty cool. The two I would most like to see:Off Hand Sword: Two Weapon Fighting is very classic ranger, especially with swords. Power focus to fit with main hand sword (torch/dagger already cover condi specs for offhand anyways) Main hand Scepter: Ranger weapons are very hybrid, and this could bring a sharper focus to condi for those that want it.
  2. I'm a player returning after a long break looking to get back into the WvW scene. I'm currently located on Blackgate, though I'm open to doing a world transfer. Available play time: 6pm - 10pm PST weekdays, flexible on weekends. Server: Blackgate, though willing to transfer Preferred classes: Guardian (with preference for Burn FB), Ranger, and Thief. I will do guild required builds, and can go for any class, but would prefer to main one of those three. Playstyle: Casual-competitive. I like being GOOD at what I do, but I like to be laid back and not stress too much over things. What I'm looking for: A guild that's active enough that I can hop in a roaming party when the mood strikes and runs WvW content at least once a week. An active discord where people use voice chat - coordination via typing sucks and I like talking to people. Also like being able to chat casually - I understand concentrating on a skirmish, but want to have fun inbetween. Also note that it has been 4+ years since I've last played, so I will need training to get back into the swing of things. Feel free to message me in game or here!
  3. There are quite a few plant themed back items:The Mawdry achievement set gives a line of Vine themed back items (3 options)The Druid Stone line gives branched themed back items (4 options)Desert Rose (red flower)Fervid Censer (yellow flower)Canach's Backpack (a styled backpack made of leaves and thorns)Bough of MelandruToxic SporeGrove Hydria I've never felt lacking for plant-themed back items for my Sylvari. This is not to say they shouldn't make more, but there are bigger gaps I'd prefer they tackle first. Quivers, on the other had, only have 4 options that I know of. A hollowed log and a rolled up leaf would both make good quivers. Having arrows with leaf fletching or looking more like sticks (like Disney's Robin Hood when he was a Stork) would be fun as well. Would also like a more futuristic quiver (think Avenger's Hawkeye or Green Arrow) Glint's Egg as a backpack would be very easy for them to implement as it was already a back item. While there is the argument against belittling a story element, this game has always been Fashion Wars first, so I think it should be done. Also, again, cough swimsuits cough
  4. I know it has been suggested a million times before, and likely in this thread too, but swimsuits. I thought they would come out with Southsun Cove as that would have been perfect, but alas. A good implementation could be like the old Outfit system where you could toggle to it while out of combat. While this would disappoint people looking for just a skimpy outfit (and please those not wanting people fighting in a Bikini/Trunks), it would have a very distinct advantage: Allow Diving Goggles to put you in your custom swimsuit rather than your default underwear. It would also allow people to have a Combat Outfit and a Role-play Outfit. While I do think all clothing tonics should be made standard outfits, you could reintroduce them here. This would muddle triggering clothing for Goggles, but swimming in clothes isn't a big deal (as they wouldn't sink you like armor would) and allowing people to do that is not a bad thing. Better yet would be to also keep the old Outfit 5 piece system for deeper customization of Swimsuits and clothing. Note if you do indeed go for gold and give back the 5 piece Role-play Outfit, do please use the Wardrobe system to not clog inventory, as well as put more "clothing" type items such as glasses, hats, and shirts, as applicable to both armor and your outfit. I, for one, wear glasses in real life, but don't make sense to me in combat. Technology is obviously sufficient enough for contacts, or magic for eyesight correction, and you wouldn't want something that could easily be knocked off/broken and impair me. However I would get some from the Gemstore in a second if I had a Role-play outfit... though Swimming Goggles would likely need to overwrite any headpiece.
