Just FYI, if you have spare guild slots, you can sometimes do HoT gather dailies in the guild hall, especially if you join one of each type. (So Gilded Hollow and Lost Precipice). It also works to join (for example) two of the same GH that are at different upgrade levels.

You only have to do things like Krytan Explorer once per account too, it's only the gift that's character based.

It was almost certainly intended to lengthen the game for sure. The trouble is it came out of the blue after the core game let you just do whatever, whenever, so a lot of older players who were used to being able to just blast through things just up and quit. It was ok for me, not fun but ok. Most of my guild however, dead inside a week or two of launch.

It pained me but I threw away all my ascended accessories. The tiny value of anything I could get from it made it pointless. A bit rubbish since I had about 140 of them, but I couldn't justify keeping that many in the hopes they might make them slightly more worthwhile.

I don't get why they couldn't just make it a renamed PoI instead of a permanently unusable "waypoint".

I personally mapped a lot of hot to 100% but to get every mastery done took a lot longer. Not because of exp, but because I was struggling to get the mastery points from adventures on gold. It is, however possible to get enough to map it all without total MPs. The only thing I find annoying with mapping HoT and onwards is the PoIs locked behind long event chains or metas.

Because finding a party to do any of the harder old content is now very challenging, so titles especially can be a pain in the butt. Not checked in on zkeys for the 3 points for pvp title in a while, but last I heard those were way pricier, and tormy weds are super pricey too.

Did you read the link I sent? It flags random accounts to test the new NPE, doesn't matter if you played 1 hour or 100,000. And the cheevs don't show well because it is a beta.

They are saying that a name like that is a physical impossibility to take, whether it made sense in another language or not. You can't have capital letters anywhere but the first letter of each word. For example, you could have Danikat, but not DaniKat.

The one thing I quite liked about my try at Black Desert was the fishing system. If you wanted to get your fish in fast you played the mini game. If you didn't care or sucked you could just sit there and it would eventually reel it in alone. Plus sides to anets route are that you don't get a crudton of afk fishers everywhere, plus side for BDO system is that if you were incapable of playing the mini game for physical reasons such as rl health issues, you could still get the fish, it would just take longer.

I wonder if this is from the testing for the new player experience (attempt 2 haha), I heard that random accts are flagged to test it out, and not even usually told they are.

Not to mention anet have already done this before, there's the titles for gw1 hom, which while still possible to earn are way tougher to get now, plus things like the early cosmetics (baseball cap etc) are very rarely seen readded if at all.

Yea I map a lot in all sorts of maps, and the only ones I saw this happen much was TD maps when Chak Gerent was up, people were struggling to organise it in time, and someone tags up for an HP train. It really does not usually happen very much, and in the rare occasion it does, like 95% of the time the comm is being completely unreasonable so just ignore them.

Did we ever find out where OP was getting 1-3k dps? Only I wanted to point out that if it was not a lv80 zone that might be part of the reason?

The thing where OPs complaint about Anets economy vs government changes falls down is that you can buy things from or trade things to other countries, heck even move there if you hate yours so much. Anet MADE the entire game, economy and all. While it would suck for some and be great for others, Anet could tomorrow literally mail everybody every single Aurene legendary "just because". It is -their- game, we only paid for access to it. We can suggest things that would make it nicer or more playable or balanced or w/e, but in the end we are not entitled to it. In the end you literally only lost a bit of time, even if you had taken a solid day's play (somehow) to salvage everything required, a) that really isn't much in the MMO scheme of things, b) that also saved you money, c) they didn't force you to do it then, you could have just not made one if you weren't happy with it (I didn't bother, myself) and d) how in the name of all that is holy can they reimburse you TIME?

Can I ask which festival food you were breaking down? Only I had the same idea but my dragon bash food didn't allow it.
