  1. How do you resolve that against the policy on unattended game play? https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014185033-Policy-Unattended-Gameplay The first bullet specifically says while "not actively playing the game." If you are actively doing something else then you are not actively playing the game.
  2. I think you can answer that yourself. How do those situations relate to unattended gameplay? Would you consider either of those to be unattended gameplay? The list really does not go on. If it's unattended game play then it's not allowed. If your character is getting loot, XP, Karma, etc while you are doing something else then it's against the rules. This is clearly a different scenario. If a player responds when a GM checks on them then they won't get banned because the GM can't tell if it's attended or unattended game play.
  3. Not true at all. If they respond to GM messages then the GM has to assume they are actively playing even if they are not. Unattended gameplay is still against the rules. It's just super easy to get away with it due to very lax enforcement. It's like using a radar detector to avoid getting a speeding ticket. If the cop didn't see you speeding they can't give you a ticket. It doesn't mean you weren't breaking the law otherwise.
  4. It looks to me like OP is looking for unattended farming. "Sometimes i'm playing the game while watching movie or a stream on my next screen" "Are there any solo friendly but not fully focused areas like these to farm for hours?" Per the policy on unattended game play, "ANY form of unattended gameplay is prohibited in Guild Wars 2." @Heroic.6740, If I have misunderstood then please explain what you mean by "not fully focused." When you play the game while watching a movie, are you fully 100% actively playing the game for the whole time or is your focus on the movie while you exploit in-game mechanics to automate farming?
  5. I expect you'd be hard pressed to find one of these farmers who doesn't already know how long it takes for DR to kick in and already has it as part of their routine to deal with it so the affect on their farming is minimal.
  6. I don't think DR is doing anywhere near as much as people think to deter unattended farming. I have observed the same players who always seem to be in the same place months and months. Also, pretty sure DR doesn't affect things like Karmic Retribution. Seems like that would have been a no-brainer to have Karmic Retribution stop giving Karm based on DR.
  7. The part I bolded is clearly a violation of the policy on unattended gameplay. You are using auto cast while not actively playing the game.
  8. From the bank you can just right-click and select equip.
  9. I think legendary gathering tools is a bit overkill. I would still like a way to share my unbreakable tools across all chars on my account. I would love to see them add an account-based set of gathering tool slots next to the existing slots. On each char you could switch between the char-based and account-based slots. The account-based slots could be a gem store purchase. I have one set of unbreakable tools and have no intention to by another set. The account-based slots is something I would spend gems on. We've seen plenty of people say they would have bought multiple sets of tools anyway because they wanted different looks/effects for different chars. I don't think anyone can say for sure exactly what this would do to purchases of unbreakable tools. I'm currently doing the shared slots method. For people who ALWAYS remember to swap the tools that's great for them. I don't and I never will. That's just not how my brain works. Sometimes I forget to put the tools back in shared inventory. Sometimes I do and the next time I do gathering I've done several nodes before I realize I'm not using my unbreakable tools. This is just a suggestion. I would love to see it happen. I not holding my breath. That would depend. Did you just buy all of those sets the day before the new feature was released or did you have them for years? I think we all know how ANET's tends to deal with this in either case.
  10. True but that's not at all the point. I've never had any trouble finding the chest. I do find it mildly annoying when I have to run to a distant corner of my home instance to just for the bandit chest. It would be nice if it could be near the other stuff in my home instance. My Christmas tree is also in a remote location away from everything else.
  11. The comparisons to how it works in SW don't really work. Found vs Lost has already been covered. Also, the multiple locations in SW each have a chest so to if we want to keep with that theme then at least half of the locations in the home instance should have a chest. In the home instance I use (Charr) it is usually in a convenient location but sometimes in a pretty inconvenient location far away from everything else. Maybe some home instances are better than other for this? Apparently it hasn't been enough of an inconvenience for me to try out another home instance.
  12. I agree with the premise but I reject the conclusion. The light armor is ugly as sin to me. Medium and heavy are not bad. Still, I feel the light will help me the most to that's the set I'm going for first. I can always reskin so how it looks really is irrelevant.
  13. Yes, I go over 1300 frequently. First season you couldn't but this season you an accept any AA reward if you are under 1300. I've been into at least the 1600s. Once you are over you can't accept any more AA until you get it below 1300.
  14. Are you sure about that? If I have more than 1300 I will lose the excess over 1300?
