  1. If you're doing it mostly for the central Tyria mastery point, and havent tried fractals, there are some easy fractal achieves that reward a mastery point each. Some even soloable.
  2. Viper is the higher dps glass cannon set, it will get you through most things a little faster. Trailblazer gives up some dps so its a little slower but has more survivability. You will run into some situations that you can beat with the slower Trailblazer but not with the faster Viper.
  3. 1- Any class should have you covered in any game mode but there are some that will excel at certain things, which may/may not get nerfed soon/a lot later/never. Since pvp is your main thing, I recommend trying each class in pvp to help you decide what o main. You can hop into pvp right after tutorial. Everyone in pvp are set to max lvl and get the same max lvl gear, and all your talents fully trained. You just have to select which stat distribution preset you want and put together a build. 2- Levelling gives you a chance to take a casual stroll through the world and enjoy some stories playing out in each zone, and I personally find it quite enjoyable. But "need to level the long way to learn your class" only applies to people who would boost to max lvl and decide not to figure out how to play the character, and then join harder content where they need to be at least half competent. If you boost up and take a little time to learn, then that's fine. 3- If you think in terms of WoW servers, there are only 3 servers in GW2 (megaservers), EU, NA and China. The "worlds" in WvWvW are like alliance and horde, except there are a lot more than just 2 factions. When you're not in WvWvW, every one on a megaserver plays together with others on same megaserver. The game will just make more copies of each zone when a zone gets overcrowded. WvWvW is like an Alterac Valley with 3 factions fighting, and runs a week-long match then a new match starts each week with new opposing worlds. Look into which servers/worlds are active/inactive for this, because it will matter if you plan on playing this mode. 5- You can earn gold in game and convert into gems. (for buying bank slots etc) 6- The expansions are very much worth it imo.
  4. @op Pve is already balanced separately from pvp and wvw, as you mentioned. Do you mean further separate Pve into raid balancing and open world balancing? I mainly play GW2 in openworld, but I don't think open world balancing is neccessary nor worth the extra dev work.
  5. @OP Do you mean you want to be able to equip a fourth specilisation line? Or do you mean for example, a guardian with Valor Honor Virtues would be called "holy juggernaut" and get an extra mechanic of some sort? Repeat that and give every possible specilisation combo a name and an extra mechanic?
  6. That's an endless grind system, which is what GW2's horizontal progression is meant to be the opposite of. Anet already sneakily/accidentally went against "horizontal progression" via elite spec power creep. but I doubt they will just add an endless stat grind like ESO.
  7. I don't see the problem. These meta players find it fun to play with other meta players in a meta way but find it unfun to play non meta, and clearly states what they're look for in lfg. Why should they now play in a way that's not fun for them?. They want you to play a certain way only if you want to play with them. I know there are exceptions, like people who join as a 4th player and then tries to order everyone around, I don't like that either. You can find other people who are ok with non meta and play with them. You might have trouble finding enough people like that in a timely manner but that's not the meta players' fault. It's like a person who likes to meditate a lot looks at an add that says "4 party animals LF 5th party animal to room with"... joins them, and then complains about how these people don't meditate qietly, and also gets kickked out of the party house for being a downer. Go find a meditation retreat.
  8. Please none of this... well, maybe capes. Things are getting pretty corny already with items that look like they clearly do not belong in the world of Tyria. Don't ruin the look of the game please. I disagree. Asuras would 100% make these. Sure you may personally not like the whole Asura and high tech theme but it belongs in Tyria. Don't be so racist, you bokka.
  9. Capes, as backpack skins. Molten Jetpack as a Skimmer skin when you mount, you hover with a jetpack on your back instead of being mounted on skimmer, but moves just like a skimmer jet pack isn't a skimmer but there are already glider skins that are not gliders pogo stick springer mount, lol (maybe rocket-boosted pogo stick, to fit the high jump function)
