  1. Yup. I love the world in this game - any area, you can find a place to sit and enjoy the view.
  2. I'm having trouble with Friend of the Owls (from Protect the owl spirits from Jormag's minions) and Friend of the Owl (from Defeat the Svanir hunters before they kill all the owls around Owl's Abattoir in Snowden Drifts) in Nevermore IV. Both follow on from Kill the Svanir shaman before he completes the Dragon totem - and that has been bugged since the Nevermore collections were introduced, October 2015 if my googling is correct. So, first, happy eighth birthday to Nevermore's bugs; and second, anything I can do to get around this aside from hoping for a map reset?
  3. I finally got my spoon the other day too. There had been a few threads in Reddit talking up fractals, so I finally jumped in. Personal fractal level is up to 17 or so, picked up a few bits I needed for a couple of long-paused legendary precursor quests (still need to do Cliffside when it comes up on the daily next)... and I'm even thinking about Ad Infinitum. That's all a long way of saying that there's a thriving and friendly fractals community out there, and a lot of fun, achieves and gold, in there.
  4. Copy-pasting my post from Reddit: This mini-dungeon has a bunch of bugs on it, has had for ages. The chance of a map being bugged increases with the number of people in the mini-dungeon. I was in a multimap squad and it took literally half a dozen maps to find an unbugged one. The one good thing is the minor chests count, not just the grand one - which is good because the Heart of Grenth melted so fast three quarters of the squad couldn't tag it in time, even with people only autoattacking. Now it's on the daily - and you can't opt to skip it and go choose to do something else because there are only four options in the daily. Anet, really, seriously, needs to provide a CHOICE of dailies to account for problems like this.
  5. 😛 After going back to the character selection screen then logging out altogether failed to fix it, going to another story chapter, letting that play out a bit and then going back to The End did fix it.
  6. Hang around in any of the capital cities like Divinity's Reach and you'll see people advertising guilds with different focuses as well - some focus on PVE, some PVP, some are on raids etc. If you're a Reddit user, there's also r/guildrecruitment/ where people advertise their guilds.
  7. My personal challenge is complete the personal story without dying; the character is only able to use what the game gives them. So can craft armour/weapons - but only if they gather the materials themselves, no buying anything, even salvage kits. I had a long think about new additions - I have a paid extra account to do this, so no character's earned gliding, but they did get the raptor. I've decided that it's within the spirit of the challenge, it's what the game gives. The extra XP is the same; it's new, but it's what the game gives, I'm not buying it.
  8. The way it's working isn't an option, though - it's flickering through lighting bright/dark/bright as I move the camera around. That isn't how DX11 is meant to work, surely. @Dayra.7405, interesting - I haven't had it happen since I turned DX11 off.
  9. I've noticed this a bit lately, and it's annoying and distracting more than anything else: have the camera pointed one way and everything is darkly lit; swing it slightly and everything goes bright. Examples: two different scenes, just with the camera moved a fraction. It may be a DX11 bug - I had tried turning it off and then back on again, but turning it off only seems to have taken effect on logging out and back in, not just clicking the toggle.
  10. Taco for the path through the jp; https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Prototype_Position_Rewinder to put you back on the path if you fall off it.
  11. The wiki says if he gets killed too hard and actually dies (he's supposed to turn green at 50%) then he doesn't respawn and the dungeon is locked, effectively. I thought he might have been on a timer or affected by nearby events or something like that, but there's nothing in the wiki about anything like that, and I've been in both while the meta's been running and not.
  12. Are you having fun playing? Then continue. GW2 has a ton of ways you can play and advance. Do the story, start to finish; dig into instanced content like fractals or dungeons; wvv/pvp; work on crafting ascended gear or legendaries; aim to be one of the few who unlock every outfit or every weapon skin or something like that. Achievements are only one part of what the game has to offer. Seasons of the Dragon is permanent content, you don't have to do it now. If you do want to get into it, then know that it's intended as something you do over time, not something to finish this weekend.
  13. One thing about Freezie's heart - it's green (ally), not red (enemy). If you're used to tabbing between targets or something like that, it won't go to Freezie's heart; if you're used to looking for red things to target, you may miss it.
  14. This is what I was going to suggest, but you worked it out first. I had the exact same problem, I was pretty sure it was on my end because it was so predictable, every x minutes there was that little stutter.
