The current WVW reward system is really a garbage. The reward mechanism is basically to let you to waste time in the WVW map. No matter whatever you do to waste time, it give you pips for it. Which is the reward.
It sounds like a pretty descent balanced long run idea, but it brings no fun for pvping in this game.
Killing a player should be rewarded, and death should be punished. This is the very basic simple idea should be followed in a PVP system.
Just because there is no punishment in WVW, every times when a thief jump on me, I even want to make the process quicker by remove my armors. Cause you know you lose nothing when you die and pvp with thieves are just wasting time.(they run away when lower hp)
A simple fix for this is to add the WVW rank drop after death, or ticket lose after death. Give a little bit punishment to the death which should bring this process more enjoyable.
Also I do suggest to reward more when take a castle/keep. It takes a lot of time/preparation for such a activity. Better reward will encourage people to be more active on those activities, instead of repairing walls or auto siege.
