  1. This is what eotm used to be
  2. Mag def has some old commanders but Noone uses discord man lol. Even the group I play with has 3-10 people here and there and we won't use common, party chat only. Comms is a crutch and without them u learn to think for yourself and make plays based off what's actually happening instead of listening to a commander who doesn't know how to read a fight
  3. One of the biggest advantages is everyone online is on the same lage about most things when we all use team chat to call things out. I've been on many servers and I can tell you quality of scouting and scout calls is important, but what's more important then good scout calls is people who will respond. So many guilds won't even consider going somewhere until an exact number is called out even if they know who the group is, and by the time they muster the strength to click a wp it's too late and they blaming scouts. And tags are incapable of communicating with their scouts or players that aren't in their squad. Too busy trying to rp as a 40man gvg guild. When we get to an objective waiting for more ppl to show up we try to bait/stall which leads to alot of saves
  4. So how's everyone doing tonight? Looking forward to BADA coming up to t1 🙂
  5. Big blob underwater fights are dope. I've been in a couple and they do not disappoint
  6. CD has a lot of tags that will tag invisible so you'll never see them unless you can read a map. Couple things I'd suggest 1. Look up roaming builds for downtime when there isn't as much people playing 2. Find out who a couple of the tags are and friends list them, usually early NA and NA prime there's people on. Go to the q'd maps I wouldn't say you chose a bad server but most people don't play on CD outside of their guild times lots. So u will see a lot of solo game play unless some pugmander tags up. With build tabs now it's easy to have a couple options to play on your character
  7. The most majestic guild led by the most majestic pumpkin head norn. Some say on Inc they stand still and pray to their forefathers while trying to wp out of the heathen battlefield
  8. I found unranked pvp, metabattle, some different classes and an open mind useful very early on in the game for learning classes and how to counter them and for some 1v1, dps and bunkering. Best of luck 😀
  9. I'll just paint a picture of the ViP experience... Driver gathers 50 people together "Okay guys let's have some fun, let me see who can watch mag chat for us today! Woot!" Proceeds to head to the nearest tower with ewp and watchtower on it. "Okay guys maguuma is coming get ready. Our scout tells us it's time to make a difference in wvw" Proceeds to stand in 1 spot and die to 15 pugs "Okay guys new borderland! I'll brb going to take a break to report to the forums, you guys know where spawn is, right?"
  10. Breh, I added you as a friend when we were linked together so I could see where you guys were at because you refuse to use chat like a normal person. When someone goes online or offline it literally tells you IN YOUR CHAT for the dull people in the back of the classroom. You are fooling anyone because you are literally watching mag map chat if you know that and are watching the callouts. VERY sportsmanlike. You are a hypocrit man. Mag has been memeing you all night yet you single me out? Whatever dude you wanna be bad, be bad. Anyone could offer you advice to be better but you'll never listen to anyone aside from the drizzlewood veterans in your guild.
  11. Aside from "tag watching" what underhanded tactics are you talking about. Because the tag watching while I get it, is so miniscule. Honeymoons ALTS have been reported so many times and it seems he never gets banned so idk that anet really cares that much.
  12. The only reason people "tag hunt" is because guilds will wipe once and leave the bl to hit empty towers or keeps. People simple try to find the fight and alot of the time it's just a roamer calling out a group they see in team chat and people respond to it
  13. Yes but so does sos bg and countless other servers
  14. Spitty pls. Noone is Qing your map with ALTS. Noone cares that much about you when it is so easy to find you anyways. Perhaps these people Qing are just plain simple pugs or guilds running small closed tag. So your saying if a good guild tries to give you advice and you simple ignore, or assume you're right regardless the fact then they are ridiculed because your opinion and skill level doesn't align with theirs. And I do know your skill level because I've fought your group countless times with many variations of numbers. And I do know that if I had 10 you would bring your 40 and port bomb or run us to spawn simply because you have no morals in wvw and that is why you get chased by mag pugs and other blob guilds who are too lazy to fight a guild better then them. If you don't want to improve to others skill levels, then assume your game play and experiences will follow that suite...in a competitive game mode BTW. Idk if you've ever played a game of soccer, but if 1 team doesn't practice where the other one does, tries to innovate, and work on teamwork skills and communication skills, we all know who's gonna win
  15. I've been paired to ViP before and what I noticed is they often play closed squads, don't recruit in wvw, nor do they respond to team chat or map chat to scouts nor to guilds who they could fight with as allies. Never seen a discord link or then advertising their raid starting, and half the time they think ppl are spying on maps on them when people just look at friends list from their mains so they go private tag. Seems to me ViP has a teamwork issue and is too exclusive for their skill level. Now I could be wrong but that was my experience being on the same link with them. Having an alliance with other guilds or trying to get bigger groups would probably help them out if they don't want to focus on the bigger issue of player skill. However I wouldn't be against people in wvw just showing "wvw" of some sort for anyone in a wvw map. Wouldn't bother me much. Not really sure what spitty is asking anet for though.
  16. Lets call it "Play with whoever you want whenever you want" the whole point of alliances is to play with "your" alliance.. why don't we just make no cost to transfer and transfer anytime so we can always play with our friends and on the winning side o.o idk what goes through peoples heads with these ideas. But this is the exact reason why most servers suck, instead of waiting for your guilds to log in for their 2hour time slots, get a roaming build and actually do things, make callouts, respond to callouts, find people to roam around with. People are useless
  17. To Anet developers and the GW2 community, My name is Tibbs, (the real Tibbs ;) I am from the Crystal Desert server. I don't think I've ever actually posted in here before but this is something I'm starting to feel too strongly about. I have played Guildwars since GW1 first came out. Infact the only reason I ever bought GW2 was because GW1 was the gem that everybody loved. You had PvP in every levelling stage, GvG, good quality open world PvE and even the missions were better. The alliances weren't perfect but they were functional (2 teams fighting for territory in PvE in instanced maps) I was originally hyped for alliance beta, I thought that it would bring a bit of spice of life to WvW. Instead we are greeted with alliances of single guilds (not a alliance of guilds a SINGLE guild) running full map q's 3 timezones of the day. The counter you'd think would be balanced matchups, but instead it was a good idea to have a stacked NA alliance with small guilds in late NA/OCX/SEA and nothing in EU. Ultimately, the big bad guilds just run and log off and come back when they are gauranteed to win fights. FUN AMIRITE??? Some of you will probably say without even reading the full post "Well you should've joined an alliance so you'd have fun in your timezone!" and this ideollogy that we should just stack our play times is the most toxic garbage I've ever witnessed. I considered joining an alliance, and I did have plans for a possible alliance after seeing what the first beta was all about. And I can gaurantee you it wouldn't change a thing because even as an alliance we would just be 2 guilds running 2 timezones with 30max. What people don't realize is that the same thing that we already currently have is going to happen. The blob alliances will end up in T1 to blob down and PPT timezones that their enemies don't have the same numbers in, and in the lower tiers will be the smaller guilds/guilds who don't effectively PPT/ or sit at spawn on a BL with a map q pretending to farm an enemy map q. Same crap, different week. I DO believe that if beta went on for a couple weeks, the matchups might balance out a bit, but there is still imbalance. This isn't diverse matchups, it's the same thing we get every 2 months. Arenanet has to decide what direction the want WvW to go in, if you want to bring PvE to WvW you are on the right track...keep screwing it up. If you want it to be a competitive large scale PvP game mode, (wasn't that the intention?) than these alliances are too big. 500 is too big. If you reduced the number to 150, or even 200 (still big imo) you force people to think about their rosters, which lets smaller guilds be relevant in this current meta and balance. The issue with smaller guilds is 50% of smaller guilds ARE casual but make up half or slightly less of a map queue. When that's your only team mate on the server and they dont want to get better, nor do they want to listen, nor do they want to learn basic game mechanics. And all you have to fight is a map q with pin snipe. I'm sorry but thats not the game for me. And it's not like you're pve content is thrilling (sitting through pointless dialouge that you can't skip yawn). Point is, if we are giving up on 15s-30s sized fights and focusing on blobbing any timezone we can regardless of content available or not there without proactively thinking about how we can fix it because we as a society are too kitten lazy. This game is dead. GG anet. Now to a solution???? Shorten map caps on bls to 50 max (there isnt even enough ppl in the game for that to matter) and give rewards to eotm and make the eotm map cap 80-90. Back in the day when eotm had rewards it was a great place for people to go and PPT or find mindless things to do. There was no obligation for holding objectives because its a 2hr instance and when WvW was dead it was a fun place to go try to beat a blob. This would allow WvW to have roamers again, this would allow 10man havoc groups to do things, and 15-30 man groups to enjoy fights. Other option, alliance capped at 100-150 people. If you need more friends then that to enjoy a game than you have issues. Everybody is tilted this week except for the ones blobbing their timezone then logging off to play with the next blob on an alt account. But what I miss is my roaming friends who also wanted to float around servers. Rolling the dice on playing with people who can use their heads feels painful, although i dont know the fix without having to be a large alliance and defeating the purpose of alliances. In a game mode where community has for a long time focused on guild fights, where there was lots of guilds within 15-40 man size. And the fight potential was always there and the few blob guilds out there were breakable. Where do we go from here? Where does this end? Have we given up on what WvW has been about? To close, if this is the direction we end up going in..my guild of majority new players who I have been teaching to fight outnumbered/gvg/roaming/havoc and enjoying the general PvP content the game mode was intended to be will likely not touch wvw again. And I can assure you I'm not the only one. Yes we wanted alliances, but blob guilds have been an issue, and skill balancing has not been addressed to counter it nvm your obsession with continually adding more and more specs to the game. Expand your horizons Anet, there is large playerbase with the same mentality as myself who don't bother coming to the forums anymore or even try to communicate with you, because we've been left for dead too many times. Stop taking your advice from the same ******** that are ruining the game. TIBBS OUT /GG
