  2. Repairing walls and gates will no longer award event participation. This alleviates the behavior we've seen in farming Objective Scaling Rewards and "wasting" supply while defending. However, an additional side effect of this is that repairing alone will not progress achievements that require event participation, such as Keep Keeper, Nice View, or Stay Out.

     

    Nice change for smc supply wasters, but kinda sucks for those doomed tower defences.

    My main gripe with Spite is that all 3 minors are only any good in solo play. I'd love if they deleted Death's Embrace (it's a trash minor that should have been deleted years ago), and put Awaken the Pain in its place. Then buff Signets of Suffering, so its in line with other signet traits, letting it grant the buffed signet bonus permanently instead of just in shroud.

    Much like Condi reaper with lich form, Mech is fun but in no way should it remain that strong.

    I do love playing mech as well (it has become my main pve spec), but I realise how unhealthy the spec is for the game. Something that easy to play should never be that effective in high end content.

    With regards to Signets of Suffering, I'd love if anet would delete Death's Embrace, put Awaken the Pain in its place and revert SoS so it could become our go-to mid tier trait (granting enhanced signet effects all the time, gaining signets in shroud and reducing recharge of signets whilst in shroud).

  8. If I play with a kit, it will be a single kit. I've always hated anything build that involves hopping between multiple kits for a single skill (which is why ele and engi were my least favourite classes for a long time, piano is for some but not for me). Peak Engi experience, for me, was Flamethrower scrapper in WvW. I made my first engi purely for flamethrower and it did not disappoint.

    Gravedigger dps isnt great to begin with and it requires unintuitive aftercast cancel to be usable. Reaper is starved for lf and gravedigger spam does not help.

    Yeah that's what I'm saying. Guy I was replying too was making it out like my suggested damage buff would be too strong for anet's liking, which I was calling bs on.

    Yeah, Staff has been ditched to max out boon corruption. You can still use for more casual pug zerging, but for organised play it isn't great. Suffering/Corruption are still go-to though.

Now the stab turns into fear and interrupts them, proc'ing Sigil of Absorption, causing another 3 boons to be removed, and you're a scourge with Feed from Corruption, so you gain all 4 boons.

    currently we have a total of +65% damage modifiers on Reaper without including sigils/runes on top of might and crit damage/ferocity bonuses and yet we're out dps'd by Quick dps builds in PvE.

    Then clearly you have no idea how bad your idea of buffing wells are. They're already the perfect wvw utility and have been (quite literally) since GW2 came out. No joke, they were meta since meta in wvw began. And they have been throughout almost the entirety of WvW, only being dropped during the Epi meta (when Well of Corruption was still taken, but Suffering was dropped). They need no buffs, whatsoever in wvw.

    That's because their best use is against large groups. Not every skill has to be good in every situation.

    Well you will be happy to know Firebrand is getting nerfed, so boon spam should be slightly less, therefore removing the need to increase boon rips.

I wouldn't mind changing its current instant recharge function for something else, as its the one aspect of Greatsword I'm not 100% fond of, but I don't trust anet to not mess it up like most other necro skills they've redesigned (which is why I normally only advocate for number increases). That said, something simple like a personal damage buff after hitting a foe below 50% health with it, would be sweet.

    I'm going to hazard a guess then that you didn't play wvw during the 7th of  July 2020 patch then? Because they had to make a next day emergency patch, nerfing the cooldowns on all wells (after buffing them the day before - and giving darkness damage), because of how dominate they were after only 1 day of play.

    Considering Anet is about to nerf Sigil of Absorption (well in their own words, fix the currently non-existent cooldown), I doubt they agree with you on that.

    A focused and well organised bomb from a veteran group will tear the heart out of most groups, well of corruption being a keystone skill in a bomb (hint - its the only skill that has remained in the WvW meta since day 1, even during the Epi days).

     

    And spellbreaker bubble only reduces boon duration by 33% now, it hasn't prevented boons for months. And also it can only remove as much as well of Corruption, must be placed in melee after 1.5s cast, rather than 900 range at 1/4s cast and has a 90s cooldown vs 40s cooldown
