  1. Alliances will come with the expac, as Desert Borderlands did with HoT. After all, we're going to Cantha where Alliance Battles took place.
  2. Whilst we're at it make Lava Font an earth magic skill too! Lava is liquid rock after all.
  3. And yet its the best its ever been in the history of gw2.
  4. PvE encompasses all that isn't WvW or PvP. And as OP has said, he was talking about open world/story pve.
  5. Nowhere was mainsteram pve top meta mentioned in the original post, just PvE. HoT Hero points are pve.
  6. Eh. I still use it for soloing HoT Hero points, so I can't complain.
  7. They were changed, post HoT.
  8. WvW is the only thing I really find fun anymore. And I do very much enjoy it. I only pve if I need money or if I am crafting a legendary.
  9. It was changed from that originally because any other application of chill to a target would override the Reaper's chill and stop you from dealing damage with it. The change to bleeding was a smart move as it made the trait viable in pve but also toned it down for pvp, where it was considered overtuned.
  10. A very annoying change. It was a great skill for removing out of LoS siege.

  12. I'm glad someone else is saying this. Anet has a bad habit of changing skills that were fine and when they become busted, lazy nerf them. It makes me dread any kind of rework. I'm still bitter about Chilling Darkness nerf and that was 5 years ago.
  13. Flamethrower it is then.
  14. I agree the design of staff is awesome! it works as a stalling weapon that like pauses the fight for a couple of seconds, avoiding hits but also dealing 0 noticable damage. or could you explain how you kill things with it? you cant kill things with it, but you dont have to. utility alone makes it worth it, and the damage honestly is not all that bad, if you know who to target, then hitting 5 marks will drop 20-30% hp from them, along with fear chill poison etc puts the pressure on them, as long as you can get the casts off for free its a good weapon.kite, use range, abuse terrain, hit the right targets, love the staff and it will love you back. Exactly this. It is a utility weapon and a set up weapon. It's favored in PvP/WvW not just for it's zone control but for how well it prepares attacks. Eg. Reaper's Mark -> weapon swap -> Ghastly Claws. Or putting your opponent in critical shape and dropping a Chillblains on them to reduce healing before they heal and to slow them down. Putrid Mark is also a bit of a wild card in terms of damage and shouldn't be overlooked. It's true Staff as a whole doesn't do much damage, but I've hit up to 8k with this skill and regularly hit 4 - 6k. That's nothing to shrug off. I've seen the discussion about Staff come up many times and as much as I agree that it feels underwhelming, especially in PvE, it's still my favorite weapon kit Necro has. The utility is just so good and it always feels nice to use to me. One of the few reasons I love Anet still is because they haven't caved to people asking for a staff revamp. Not every weapon needs to be competitive in every game mode.
  15. I can't ever recall Lifesteal that could crit. When was this?
  16. That would be freakishly overpowered without any internal cooldowns though. And internal cooldowns make me sad. Putting it back to 3 stacks of bleed or 2 in wvw/pvp would probably be the best option.
  17. Sword mainhand. Instead of having a shroud skill set, it will cause your weapon skills to inherit shroud traits. Activating shroud consumes all your life force, granting a duration based upon the amount consumed. The lack of extra health bar/barrier will allow us access to those much sought after abilities of other classes such as evade/block.
  18. Maybe Immobilize? Plays into the whole original theme of movie monster chasing down its prey. Reaper's Onslaught has pve covered pretty heavily though even on a condi reaper build. And Reaper doesn't need much help when it comes to pve. So really, if they were to change the trait, unless they were to make it some kind of support trait (which I doubt they ever would for reaper), it would likely be one suited for pvp or wvw.
  19. Make it something that isn't sustain or dps. Preferably something that you would take in a pvp/wvw situation that enhances or is triggered by chilled.
  20. Better yet, keep it as a spectral elite (as a completely new skill in keeping with the spectral theme), but then add all the missing skills on all professions - our elite well included.
  21. Maybe on the first character of your account, but like hell I am doing it for every character.
  22. Coalescence of Ruin is now ground-targeted and the attacks from it are timed further apart to allow better telegraphing. It cannot be fired behind you, only in a 90 degree arc in front.
  23. Look, ANet just removed a stunbreak and a stack of stability from the necromancer's kit, I'd be willing to bet that they'd rather remove the projectile block from CPC than give projectile block to locust swarm. And the new Life force gain trait still doesn't work in WvW. Fun times...
  24. Oh, they fixed it? It wasn't giving me life force, both in and out of combat.
