Aurora is now recruiting! We welcome players of all skill levels, experiences, and walks of life. We are inclusive and pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, mature, and supportive gaming environment. Our footprint in GW2 is small right now but we are actively recruiting and growing. That said, we're far more interested in finding recruits with the right mindset and personality than we are in bolstering our numbers. Read more about us below. We offer a home to any gamer that recognizes the value in our sense of community. We are adults that are helpful, and courteous. Thematically, we are built around the Celestial Flame with a strong code of conduct. Many of our members form friendships that last beyond the games we play. Aurora was founded in 2021 as Claîr De Lune [Luna] as a haven for players wishing for a mature, safe environment free of toxicity and obnoxious behavior. We’ve established ourselves in the game, creating a nice community. We got busy with life and had to let the game down for awhile. Now we're back better than ever as Aurora [AR] Aurora is foremost a community of like-minded people who happen to like playing online games together. We are only concerned about the person behind the keyboard, and not your gear or accomplishments. When joining us, you join our community which means interacting with members on our discord and not just in-game. We are always recruiting, and our requirements are strict. We treat every member with respect and integrity. Racism, sexism, or any other discrimination/exclusivity will never be tolerated We do not entertain stalking, harassing, or targeting of any sort. Bullying or any threatening behavior is not tolerated. We abstain from discussing sensitive topics such as politics, religion, etc. Every member must join our Discord server. Please take care with your introduction and make an effort with it. You should get a guild invite within 24 hours. Introductions with little information, or generally showing a lack of earnestness will not be considered. To reiterate, we are highly selective. We are a guild of friends, and it’s hard to make new friends with someone who doesn’t make an effort at an introduction. Showing us you want to belong and value the same things we do will go a long way in your intoduction. It is viewable by any member, so keep in mind that this is how you are presenting yourself to the guild at large. A: Aurora is NA guild and we operate on EST. Peak times tend to be evenings past reset, but there are usually a few members on at all times. Q: What content does Aurora run? A: Aurora focuses mainly PvE, from open world metas, dungeons, hp trains, bounty trains, etc. We like to enjoy fractals and strikes as well. We're getting our feet wet with PvP/WvW. Q: What is Aurora's end goal? A: As mentioned above, we want to foster a friendly environment for all. Content wise, we would like to get into raids one day! Q: Do you have a guild hall? A: We do! We're currently restoring Isle of Reflection, and we have many amenities available to guild members. Q: Is Discord required? A: Yes. We use Discord to stay in contact with each other and also use it for organization purposes. We post our weekly guild events with signups on there! Q: What does your guild provide to its members? A: A safe and friendly gaming environment. That’s all. We get you away from griefers, cheaters, the dishonest, and the people you just don’t want to be around. We have lots of nice members who gladly share loot and will help you in many and various ways, but none of that is guaranteed. A lot of what you get out is what you put in. Share and be helpful, and you’ll see it come right back to you. Q: What buffs does your Guild Hall provide? A: We currently offer a variety of boosts that are permanent, 10% Waypoint Cost Discounts, Nodes & a Market! Q: How skilled/experienced do I have to be to join? A: Skill and experience are not factors in joining or becoming full members of Aurora. We have very skilled players and players that are still learning the game. We are only concerned about the person in front of the screen. If you have the qualities we share that make you a good person, and not necessarily a good player, we will be happy to have you.
