  1. Garrosh's original plan involved an artifact called the Divine Bell that could be used to infuse an army with sha corruption to turn them into killing machines. However the bell was broken before he could use it. So he went after the Heart of Y'shaaraj instead presumably to use in a similar fashion. Players mugged him for his loots before he could do anything with the heart.
  2. This might just be a child's mishearing of "ne'er-do-wells".
  3. Battle maul isn't meant for movement (a movement ability that drops your movement speed by dismounting you isn't a very good one). It's meant to be used as an opening attack. If you're losing half your health to battle maul it's your own fault for running a glass build.
  4. Anet probably made him larger so he doesn't get lost in the crowd during his event. It's probably not representative of his actual size in lore.
  5. The problem with Smodur's actions is that they're all counterproductive. Executing defectors? Now your enemies have reason to fight to the death which is not useful when fighting a war of propaganda. When you're outnumbered you want enemy soldiers to defect so your enemy has less soldiers. Talking down to one of your best resources? They might tell you to get stuffed and imagine the morale loss if the commander walks out. Taking out the lab where your enemy is doing R&D on weapons? Reasonable. Using a searing crystal to do it and enraging one of your allies when you are already outnumbered? Not a good move. Executing a hostage in the middle of negotiations? Not only are the current negotiations shot but future ones are going to be off the table. Smodur was supposed to have some level of shrewdness but here he has taken multiple levels in idiocy.
  6. If you want to fight people in a place where they can't run away go play PvP instead.
  7. Hold down the key so that when it flips to the pull skill the game spams it as fast as possible. Does more than trying to mash the key yourself.
  8. So is Bangar going to back in time and get the "True Legions" to fight us before Rytlock kills him then sulks for 2 expansions?
  9. So basically everyone is just going to blacklist their counters? This will make balance worse not better. Builds that are currently held in check by other builds could block those builds and become OP themselves.
  10. They aren't natural meteors they're conjured by the elementalist. It's probably easier to create fire than chunks of rock so the "meteors" are probably actually just fireballs being dropped from overhead. They're just called meteors because they have a superficial resemblance i.e. the spell just looks like a meteor shower.
  11. Probably because the engineer was originally going to be a heavy armour profession. It was changed to a medium armour profession which broke the original pattern.
  12. People really need to understand this: the dervish will not happen. The dervish as a profession is too human focused. Any profession added to the game must be available to all the playable races. It's possible there might be a dervish themed elite spec at some point but it won't have the god and prayer themes of the dervish profession.
  13. Some outfits and skins don't show up in the wardrobe for some reason. They still cycle around with the rest of the gem store offerings.
  14. Remember when Trahearne outranked the player and people kept crying for him to die for stealing the player's spotlight so Anet killed him off? Lets not repeat that.
  15. Imo simply resetting is too shallow.Weaver already does this with Unravel, with two charges. Maybe something like make F5 a short 5 second cooldown, and activating it will strengthen the effects of the next skill used? (not counting Auto attacks that is) It's not really meant to be deep or game changing. It's just a small perk for playing core. I don't see Anet adding something complex to elementalists unless they give the profession a complete overhaul.
  16. I think you've overthought this. I'm pretty sure someone at Anet just looked up "red" in a thesaurus.
  17. I think the F5 ability that resets the cooldowns of their attunements would be a neat idea. It could be used to add versatility to core builds by for example letting them swap to water attunement use some healing skills then immediately swap back to fire to continue dps without having to wait for fire attunement to come off CD.
  18. Increased attunement CD on overload use.
  19. Weapons and armour can be transmuted if you want to get rid of their effects.
  20. I think locking new elite specs behind a quest would cause a massive uproar. I think it would be a better idea to put the story in the weapon collections so they aren't just generic time sinks. This way people can delve deeper to find out about their spec if they want but they can start playing immediately.
  21. I think people's love of Rytlock is exactly why he won't be imperator. Since if he becomes imperator then he's going to have to stay behind and run things. From a narrative point of view Crecia works perfectly as imperator. She enters the story, expands on Rytlock's backstory, gets enough development for people to like her and then steps out of the story when Anet wants to move on to something else because she has to stay behind and be imperator.
  22. I think this story is meant to show the dark side of the fahrar system. Charr cubs are taken and moulded into gears in the charr war machine. Familial ties are cut to ensure they fit properly into thier new roles. Ryland isn't Rytlock and Crecia's son anymore, he's a cog in Bangar's machine. I doubt Crecia is going to die. She seems to be the brains of the outfit and the best candidate to be imperator after Bangar bites it. Ryland's fate is up in the air, he could stay loyal to Bangar to play up the tragedy side or he could see what Bangar really is and turn on him to play up the hope side.
  23. The guy in Lion's Arch that sells legendary recipes has a dialogue option to recover lost legendary crafting components. I don't know if it will work for Aurora or just for the recipes he sells but it might be worth trying.
  24. Because thief is a class that can only do DPS effectively. Especially Deadeye where the best way to build malice is to land crits, so Deadeyes must invest in Precision. Thus DPS is the only way to play Deadeye effectively. That sounds like a self fulfilling prophecy. If all your weapons are DPS weapons then of course you'll only be good for DPS. If thief is to have roles other than DPS then it will need weapons for those roles.
  25. I'd say Zhaitan's weakness would have been his body (as counterpoint to Mordremoth and his mind weakness). While the other elder dragons were made of tough materials like rock, Zhaitan was made of meat, dead and rotting meat. He also seems to be much smaller than Kralkatorik and Primodius, but that might just be an in game thing and not representative of the lore.
