  2. I was trying to find the link to when was this last time checked and I just can't find it. I remember someone said that they've manually "toned down" particle effects, they are happy with the results and will continue to monitor it. Rather than that I don't remember much.   3. I think it also appears even if you are on a full map instance to move you to a map instance with less people in it just to help fill it up.
  4. I get that you recently started playing GW2 after playing FF for who knows how long and are now amazed by many things here. But each game has it's audience. There are reasons I (and others) don't play FF. Saying that something which isn't good is good just because something else is even worse is not the proper way to look at the problems. This is an ongoing issue we have here. But instead of addressing it they are just making it worse with new specs. (Yeah, we had that) They did "address" this issue once in the past (someone might remember when and give some link) but it was nowhere near enough. And now they are making it even worse.
  5. Considering how crazy you went with all the new effects, now is the perfect time to finally give us an option to adjust how much of that we wish to see on our screen. I understand some people like not to be able to see their character under all of the shiny effects, but some of us like to see what we are doing and when NPCs are about to do some skills.   11. There is a big difference on how WvW/GvG is played on Chinese servers compared to NA/EU. What you are talking about might make sense for their game play style but not to how we play it on NA/EU. Most of us simply do not like your ideas. There have been many ideas on how to improve WvW but I don't think this one is good. On the part of "commander is a spiritual leader/symbolic presence". I get what you were trying to say. You might of used the wrong words there but yes. I can say I have a big respect for our commanders (those I chose to follow) but that respect didn't come from them having an extra skills. Rather them being great commanders and persons.
