  1. First of all the Support only sends generic answers and says "they cannot forward progress" etc. etc.... Therefore, I'm posting here. The Jade Vault is on my and my Guild-Mates account not accessable since the week before helloween. My guild mate wanted to build a Cantha Legendary( I have two I know what I'm talking about) and tried to hand in the figurines to access the vendor. However, there was an issue and I tried it too, which reproduced the exactly same bug. We had both already handed in figurines(from another week), which triggers the well-known bug that you cannot access it that week. NEW part of the bug: it DOES NOT reset weekly! We cannot hand in new figurines since the week before Helloween, effectively rendering us unable to build a Cantha-Legendary due to not being able to access the Jade Vaults through Myung-Hee. It says for weeks that the weekly achievement is already done. Please investigate and fix the bug ( and probably reset the quest "Weekly Jade Vault" for me and Glingal.5869 as short term fix. Everything we get out if the dialogue is the achievement box that shows that the achievement is done for WEEKS. The support doesn't wanna reset the weekly achievement(my guildmate made a ticket), so we can do it again(!), this is not forwarding progress(as the support claims), but resetting the quest to do it AGAIN. The sheer incompetence of the support staff is simply astonishing. It feels like as if work has been outsourced to the least qualified individual on planet earth and probably whole milky way. Regards
  2. I totally agree with the visual mess. The meta is for this part very poorly designed. The player blob completly obstructs the sight if as it scatters in the area due to trying to see anything. This meta wasn't designed with the common player in mind. Lets face it: Only a smaller percentage of players was able to do the deep etc. in GW1. This meta is kinda similar, as it makes the content exclusives. Please look at what is happening in the lfg... There are people like this "come to Arborstone if you have 10% of map buffs then I will invite you into my sacred instance!". This is not the game I want to play, it creates a lot bad blood between players. Sorry but this is not the kind of game I used to play and pay for. Keep the exclusives stuff for strike missions and similar content. It is bad enough that there wasnt a "hard" and "easy" mode for raids, fractals and strike missions.... This game is successfull due to its player friendliness. If you think that you need to lock the win in open world behind, then players won't be happy with it and the loot from metas is anyway a joke except for some(Why there is a that big gap in revenue is another question). It won't be the kind of meta you try any time soon after having one win. But lets face it: The EoD isn't that long out and stuff needs to be balanced.
  3. Often being a Commander of this event the problem is the following: A good portion of the people cannot target the tail, bubbles or whirls. This event was designed by someone with a good computer(l have one too without FPS drops). The problem is that if fps drops - and it does for the majority of players - the mechanics get to be undoable. Of course it is possible - but it is not designed with the common player in mind. Event mechanics etc are fine - but you need to give a group without voice chat more time. Lab conditions do not apply to real world situations. Thus, please gives us 5 minutes more time. Example: I had a good group with good DPS and I explained as their commander the mechanics. People followed it as good as they could and I had 2 co-commander with alt-shift symbols in case I went down. The issue was that a part of the group couldnt follow up so fast and couldnt target fast as others. You have to give the people that are slow with the mouse and have a bad computer a chance. Not everyone is able to play with top-gear(I play myself with Razer Naga Trinity+Asus top-keyboard). This is a summation of my personal experience of the conversation with other players. Please dont take the organized Discord raid group as "general" player. There will be a lot bad blood if you keep the event like that. It is fine if it fails 1/2 times but not 5/6. Many people dont have the time, will get frustrated and just dont try it again, or play something else. After all your events are usually meant to be successfully repeated not lost again, again and again. Regards
  4. The mechanist is a very well executed profession: It is unique and it finally replaces the toolbelt skills, with the trait options of the mech, making the profession more versatile, by allowing us to choose utility skills, that are not coupled to the toolbelt skills. DPS and survivability remind me of Anarchy Onlines engineer pets. Which is very positive - the ranger does the bulk of his damage with his bow and the pet is more a utility, while the mechanist as one would expect sends his mech to do the dirty work! That was an awesome concept 20 years ago in AO, and today doubly so 🙂 I will really enjoy this "vintage" playstyle as MMO-Veteran that you've just (re)invented. I also wanna mention a negative aspect(Otherwise I would sound like a fanboy... wouldn't I? ^^) - which is true for some new specs - the mace as weapon doesnt really make sense. It is more of "let us take something that somehow fits" like a hammer for a Ranger and Ele... It would've been smarter to place the main hand weapon with a toolbelt choice, similar to the warriors gunsabre, to provide something truly fitting as profession equipment. I mean a mace? Why not a remote control, 😉 of scifi/jade tech tool? Keep up the great work! This spec is in contrast to the Elementalist unique and fun to play. And I can imagine that the green fits in the new style of jade tech, but some people that wrote here are right: it might not fit their character as the green is very very limited in matching colors. It would be nice to have at least a choice, that could also be determined by traits the mech is using. I know you're working hard on the game, and that out feedback might bring holidays full of work, but keep up this good work the expansion will be a success.
  5. Dear Anet-Team, the you Guild-Hall you created is so astonishing beautiful that me and my Guild will have to try it. However, being the owner of Windswept Haven the regret of loss is always there. The only way around would be to create a new Guild in order to keep both Halls with all investment being gone. This would not be very economic in technical terms, apart form the sentimental value a group places into a place they built together. So why not have 2-3 places like that? As the number of possible guild halls grows, each one we cannot decorate(lets be honest, they're a builders playground) is a possible loss of: Playtime and fun among many other things like the social interaction of assigning building spots for members etc. I would be willing to purchase with gems Guildhall spots, so that one Guild can activate different Guild Halls. Let's be honest here: You would not be able to put work into such a feature without return on investment. Every member in a Guild could contribute by getting Gems for Gold or Gems for real money. I obviously cannot assess how difficult it would be to iterare the existing system to implement the feature, but paying 100G each time and redoing the mission isn't a good option, and limits the possibilities for Guilds without obvious reason, in a game was from the start oriented in helping the community, instead of imposing barriers. Think of the possibilities like seasonal changes, vast playgrounds for builders and so on. This feature would go well along with the new rafts: We could fish in different halls. However, I hope you consider the idea - in the long run it would improve the possibilities for guilds. Certainly, people might say "not possible" , or "too much work" - but Bethesda did in F76 just the very thing I'm suggesting here: Multiple Camps for the players - a slot for the currency that is similar to Gems in GW2. It was a great improvement there for everyone - so I hope you consider having multiple Guild Halls in some form for GW2 too. The ones we cannot have are just too beautiful to skip. Regards
  6. I can understand your reason to point out that issue(I've vision issues and know what it feels like). But the amount of time you can spent is similar to the amount of time a person with kids and full time job. Anet made it that way so people can't complain there's nothing to do. But I agree with you - I'm one of the players who can do such tasks in no time( I prefarm currencies), and I know how long other people need for it. It's simply unfair. Not all people can dodge etc. with lightning reflexes and some parts of the game are already unfair to them. Also players from countries with bad internet have issues, or bad Computers. Offering alternative tasks would be the best option... For the total time it takes... Those things are not meant to be done in some days - rather weeks or months. I totally agree with Anet that some things should take longer. I think the Griffon was a good quest length but only if you had the gold. I think the timespan you can skip with gold should be rather like 40-50%(Not just the timegates counted, also the collecting items part). It would've been nice if you could buy unique items that give you an amount of the currency x you need for the collection(just for a start 50 of everything). Of course you can argue that one could've farmed them over the time and episodes. But if we had a vendor that offers at the start let's say 50 and after a week again 50 as a boost that would be already a big help for slower players. But the Vendor in the new map gives you already 5 of each map currency per day. If you can't play just wait a little longer and buy that stuff daily. You're of course in a special position - I acknowledge that. I've ingame friends with similar issues. I always try to help them as much as I can with the stuff they wanna accomplish. If you need help just wsp me ingame; I will try to help you to find the most effiencient way to do each step.
  7. Constantly adding content that only huge Guilds with trained groups can play won't make the majority of players buy your products. Think of how hard Fractals and Dungeons were at the time of the release. It's time make them available to everyone. Ditch the raid content you're not reaching your playerbase with it, instead put your efforts into content for less players. GW1 had some instances for large player groups and the content was fun. But you should consider adding raids targeted at another group of players. Also the raids already existing should have an expert mode and a normal mode. You did that really well in GW1 with the HM. I dont get why you don't bring back working mechanics. Most people don't wanna play for loot... They wanna play because they like your game. I agree with Turkeyspit though. You cannot make it for everyone right if you choose the number of players. Just add a feature so the group size is variable.
  8. I'm able to enter the mission use the first and seconds skill also the healskill, then get disconnected. The disconnect seems to happen at a random time. But over the last hour, the amount of time I can spent without disconnect, gets more and more. Although I can stay in Lions Arch as long as I want without getting disconnected. We're with two players in the instance, the disconnect happens exactly at the same time.
  9. Since the latest Nvidia and Microsoft updates, all my problems are suddenly gone.
  10. I personally did Raids some time ago when they were rather new.I think it's a big obstacle that you need 10 trained fully geared up players. Content should be accessable to everyone, not only to elite groups. It won't crush the Raid system if there is a easy mode for people that just want to see the story and the content. The real loot can stay inside normal modes. I lead a Guild with 104 people. Nearly none of us are doing raids, because it's hard to gather a group of 10 players with the right profession, skill and the determination. The problem we face is the following: Some people don't have computers that are good enough, connections aren't stable enough(Some people come from Asia or Africa). Even if all technical criteria would be met, most of my people would've to set up a character for it, then train with the character in training raids....... The latter are all possible but we can't change the first. So it leaves some unable to play the raids. Why? Because the Raids are so hard, that we cannot go inside a raid with people, where we know the connection will fail it some point and they relog. With more accessable content that's no problem. The Fractal System for example works well, and created an environment that's friendly for new players. While Raids offer nothing of that. An easy mode would let new people benefit from a better learning curve. The Super Adventure Box is another example of content very well thought through. You offer a difficult mode for everyone, and a easy mode for people that just want to have a look. I personally support a hardmode, as it offers an additional challenge for everyone willing to put the effort and time in the matter. I really hope that you can agree with my point of view, that we all would like to play the content. As of now not all players benefit from the Raid releases. I hope that you're willing to change it for us - the players.
  11. Hello, When did this issue first start?Has it been consistent across time, or has it become worse lately? Or has it come and gone (been intermittent) over time?PoF release. It got so bad over the time(Palawadan release) that I had to buy a m2 SSD 2 months ago. I couldn't play at all, the lag hit me everywhere. It was so bad that I could count the pictures :/ My monitoring showed that the hdd was always at peak usage. My PC runs at every other game I own without any problems. Since I use a Kingston Pcie SSD the problem got much much better(I had a Sata SSD before). I only notice the lag/fps drop after a long playtime. Mainly the CPU spikes. I own a MSI Mortar and a 6600k. When i play in "normal" mode without overclocking, then I have the problem I described above. If I run it with maximum cooler settings and "turbo mode" the problem is less likely to occur. The ram is never full. I can offer you the following observations: The lag/fps drop occurs if I stand for a long time in a city, or at the Leatherfarm with the time when there have been many different characters. But the problem occurs at the leatherfarm only at certain areas of the farm route(i.e. where the fate to the two watchtowers with the chests is. On the cliff before that area is the worst point. (where the 3 mobs stand in a corner). If you're interested in more observation please contact me, I'm observing the problem for a long time and when it occurs, I just don't wanna write a long text in vain - that may even not answers your questions. It occurs also on my other PC. The Kingston kc1000 SSD I'm using has got a clean install with almost exclusively GW2 on it. I run the game without any other programs running. In some cases it gets worse if I open the Tradepost or any other panel. The Tradepost takes sometimes forever to load. If I reduce the number of displayed character models in the options it seems to have an impact on the FPS. But Many players on a WvW map are no problem - only on the new maps like Lake Doric, Istan etc. But It seems to be more like a glass, once the unknown something is full, the game starts to have FPS drops. For instance I was in Lions Arch waiting for a PvP Match to start. In the middle of the PvP Match the lag suddenly hit me. I fix the problem with relogging. But if I'm in PvP or a similar instance where you cannot relog - let's say a full Palawadan map... I've either to cancel or sit it out with 1-2 fps. N.b. before PoF my pc was always at top effiency I never had FPS drops. What is your general geographical location?Europe/AustriaOn what game world are you playing?Elona ReachMany of my guildmembers and regular farmers report that the problem get's worse. I hope that you'll be able to identify the issue. I'd be glad to help you if you need further information. Regards
  12. I don't think that it's a network related issue, due to the fact that it hits often when opening a panel like the tradepost.
  13. I've been playing now for about 20 ranked matches and lost 17(!). While you could always argue about my personal skill etc. It's simply impossible that in 17 matches the other team can be constantly better. I've a friend with the same problem. She won last season easily and now had no chance at all. When we joined the queue together we always had someone afk or playing Leeroy Jenkins. I don't wanna say that I'm a very good player like a friend..... But still I should've won statistically at least one game in the last 17 matches. I won the 3 first matches when I couldnt even play my profession good as now. Then I lose 17(?). It's my impression that because of the fact that we just start "now" in this season - that we get paired up with people that dont even try to read. Everytime I try to talk about strategy or other things there's simply no response. Now that's nothing that Anet can fix concerning not talking players; though it would be nice if Anet could fix the algorityhm. I've read in the past in the forum that Anet employee's can see the amount of matches I've lost on my account. Me and my Guildmate don't seem to be the only ones with that problem. I think it has to do with the fact that we started later this season and now somehow get paired up with people that go afk don't talk etc. What I mean: Due to the advanced time in the season we've worst starting conditions.
