One thing you can do is put a memorial in your Guild Hall. You can make it as personal as you like and a signpost with text to explain it.

Another option is to make another char identical in appearance to the old one, using tomes to level and use a name change contract to give it the old char’s name. The old char with a new name can be stashed somewhere if you ever want to play it.

If you are a member of a guild that has a guild hall in EOD then you can use that to travel there then waypoint to one of those maps once they’re unlocked. To get back for free you can use WvW or PvP then take the Asura Gate to Lions Arch.

However if they did then you, for sure, can take it. It’s much more likely you helped someone and they gifted you these items anonymously as thanks or someone read your posts and felt generous. you can not get in trouble taking the items that were sent to you. They are now yours.

It probably was a gift from another player, either intentionally or they sent it to you by accident. You can’t sell cosmetic items from the gem store on the trading post because it unlocks the skin in your wardrobe. If cosmetic items could be repeatedly sold and resold and resold, unlocking the wardrobe for each new buyer then each sale is a loss to ANet.

Years ago you could get more than 10AP a day from doing dailies. Completionists came to the forum and complained that they were exhausting themselves getting all possible AP each day. There was also complaints about the Leaderboard as I recall and how impossible it was for new players to reach the higher levels. At some point after those posts ANet put a cap on the daily AP, limiting it to 10 per day and 15,000 max.

for them to attempt it, they had to either have your email and login and got stopped because it was from a different location or they had your email and tried multiple times to guess your login, which got the account locked. Either way you have/had bigger problems if random people are able to find out your email/passwords to try to get into your account. You’re lucky ANet stopped them from stealing your account and stripping it clean.

Not only is your personal story tied to your race but what cultural armor your char can wear is race dependent. Changes to your home instance are tied both to your race and the personal story. Some comments made by NPCs to your char are race dependent, and probably more. It’s something that’s at the bottom of the spaghetti code. Possible to untangle but probably expensive in dev time and effort and most likely would lead to a continuous bug fest where one fix exposes another bug.

Sometimes gemstore items don’t show up if you already own them. Do you have an alt account? If you do you can check if it’s visible on that account or ask a guild mate/friend in game if they can see them. If they can maybe they can gift them to you and you send them the equivalent amount of gold to repay them or money thru something like PayPal.

I finally did one. i had a char on that map and logged in to a meta in progress so I gave it a try. I figured we would lose (and we did) because if I can get in at that stage, it’s not an organized event. it was a confusing mess. I was trying to see what was going on, avoid the many!! AOEs, read chat for player directions and pay attention to the NPCs giving directions, try to figure out the mechanics, and half the time I was completely lost. I guess it gets better if you do it multiple times but.. no rewards for spending an hour trying? That’s not an incentive. There’s just to much going on at once for my less than stellar fps to render. Pretty much I was blindly following the crowd and this was even after watching a couple of videos on how to do it.
