Are these gemstone passes at 1000 gems each?

I would not play your version of GW3 and I think most of the PvE player base would feel the same. You obviously are primarily a PvP player, especially since you admit that 4 of your characters have only done PvP content. This means what you like in a MMO is the PvP, opposite of this game which is a PvE focused casual player MMO with separate PvP. Reading your suggestions for PvE gave me the distinct feeling that you played and liked New World. In that game PvP players are king and PvE players at max level have nothing to do besides gather and craft. Your post really made me think that you are sad the New World crashed and burned and you hope that GW3 could be GW3: The New World Reborn.

I really doubt you’re going to get this resolved on the forum. It’s more an ask for help from other players forum. the only real way to get help from the ANet support staff is to make a ticket and see what they can do for you.

There are PvP daily arenas. They are hosted by someone who sets the rules and keeps people in order. Basically (depends on the arena) the players alternate killing each other. If that’s what you want to do look for an arena that says Daily. They are normally active right before and after the daily game reset.

Obviously the commander was hiding behind the door when financial smarts were handed out. You’d think they would have figured out that something was not quite right when they joined the Order and everyone else was getting regular paychecks and they were left standing there with their hand out, repeatedly. But nooooope, they never did. Either that or they like saving the world on a personal shoestring budget, taking time out from spying, killing dragons, assassinating and what not to farm wood or look at a vista to earn a bit of coin to get through the day. My advice to the commander is to hire a financial planner because retirement age is creeping up and they’ll need money in the bank or investments to finance the rocking chair days. Especially since I have the feeling that once the glory days are over their name will be forgotten, just like everyone forgot the names of the heroes who saved the world 250 years ago.

No offense and all, but a vague post saying you can’t use a glider isn’t going to tell the people who fix graphic glitches what is wrong. A post saying what exactly is wrong is much better than hoping a staff person will see your post, look at the picture and figure out that you can use the glider, you just don’t want to. my previous comment still stands. Make a ticket and specifically tell them what your issue is with an accompanying picture. Maybe it will never get fixed but it’s still better than a non specific complaint in General Discussion (which they probably never read).

Is that the Geomancer Glider? Mine works. Have you done a client repair? If that doesn’t work I suggest you make a ticket and contact support.

Thinking the matter over, isn’t this the commander’s fault? I’ve never seen the commander sit down with anyone and negotiate a salary. No, s/he just charges in, banners waving, thinking they can kill a dragon by stabbing the dragons left front toenail. And then you’re surprised that the commander forgot to ask for money for doing all that.

The Commander gets 2 gold a day for doing a quick daily. How much more do you need?

Similar to mine, but when it happened on my account it had a banner at the top with pictures of gemstore items. don’t know if that makes a difference.

(This is a problem that has been resolved. Posting for anyone who has this problem in the future and is looking for a solution) There is an occasional problem with the gemstore not loading/freezing when Anet adds a free item to the gemstore. The Trading Post and currency exchange still work but the gemstore section is frozen and only shows the top banner (which is also frozen). Doing a search for an item in the gemstore brings up the message ‘not found’. This problem goes away by itself when Anet removes the free item. A way to fix it when it happens is to clear the cache. Search for C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp Look for a file that starts with “gw2cache” delete it, then when you log into the game the gemstore should work.

It could be brought back as a Pass, like The Royal Terrace Pass, but for the whole city not just part of it.

Only one thing to do in a situation like that. Hang around in La and ask for people’s stuff when they leave. Then when everyone is gone I’ll have achieved my goal of being the richest player in the game with the most bling. Not that anyone will be there to admire my beautyaciousness. It’s the principle of the thing.

It will be hard but people will work through their emotions about the confused smiley and someday, perhaps when they’re 80 or 90, they’ll realize it’s very minor and that they can’t even remember which posts of theirs got one. hang in there. It will get better, eventually.

I’d love a grace period on makeover kits. There’s been so many times I’ve used one and then after seeing the change in game I realize it’s not quite the same as the preview.

I’ll damnn the update with faint praise and say, it’s an improvement. It’s better than it was. (but not as good as it could have been).

I admit I’ve never heard of this Korean hairstyle and have no idea whether Koreans are upset by it being included in a video game and available to female characters. However this is the internet and a forum, therefore I have an opinion. My opinion is: Swapping ideas, items and learning things from other cultures is a defining thing that humans do and is the thing that has allowed us change and grow from our long ago ancestors’s knowledge and technology to the world we have today. Even thousands of years ago people traveled hundreds or thousands of miles to trade and they swapped items, information and culture. One could argue that it’s so deeply ingrained in us to learn and appropriate from other cultures that it might even be fundamental to humanity and how we think. Therefore my opinion is that saying “you can’t use items from my culture or you can’t use it in that way” is expecting something that goes against human nature and if this belief in exclusivity was something that became widespread, where people can police who can use what items or how because “you using it offends me”, that it would be detrimental to us all.

Truthfully if people can’t keep loot, karma, XP and achievements when they play a Temporary Character then I don’t see this ever becoming a popular feature. People play to progress their chars and account. The game hands out enough Tomes to level multiple chars to 80. It would make more sense to have a char or two of each profession geared up and ready to fill wanted roles than to play for an extended period, do hard content and get zilch for rewards. And what if someone manages to loot a precursor or get a valuable new skin while playing in a Temp Char? The tears will be flowing that day, for sure.

It’s a great improvement on the old character panel. Makes it much easier to find the one I want.

I want the other goodies that come with prepurchasing and I want to support Anet, a company I don’t suspect of having nefarious designs of releasing unfinished expansions, by prebuying so they’ll have the money months sooner.

What I’m curious about is, if the siege turtle is required for EOD events and only the passenger can use the cannons then what is the driver doing during the events (sitting there watching and occasionally moving the turtle around?) and how is the driver getting credit.
