  1. First, you are mistaking "looking for an easier target" for courtesy and respect for one another. You are also probably mistaking pass-on-by with yes, I see that guy "standing by" buddy there that will jump in immediately so time to move on. Or the more likely 2nd scenario is only one of the two actually wants to duel. That being said, WvW titles need to be removed from enemy players if you wanted this to stop. You see the same roamers out there time and again all week long.

What has happened is more and more skills/utilities are given 10-targets for attacks (from 5), mesmers having more than 3 clones up at a time (phantasms no longer count to total, etc.), in which the former has been stated many years ago why the 5-cap was done..."for balance" as well as it affected performance on server/client communication and allowed more players to be on a single map. The other component is newer logic limitation (count) on siege targets (i.e. the Arrow Cart changes having a cooldown of 0.5s per target or the Meteor Shower changes) which likely requires a more intensively bandwidth usage to server/client/calculation routine. It's the same for Airship Defense server/client-side calculations which obviously causing map-wide lag whenever that is pulled in SMC. Can this be fixed? Yes but there is little incentive to do so from ANet's end as they have already committed to outsourcing to AWS. No reason to spend more since minimum cover is all that is needed. I imagine Alliances are meant to further reduce population counts and alleviate this further. This is not to be confused with Client side lag (aka the blinding amount of particle effects, talking to you all popular Firebrands) is also much which is a huge client-side performance issue too.
  3. GW2 I like to call it Ghost Thief 2.0: Thermal-nuclear alpha War 2. Apparently one/four-shots (under spammable new target Quickness boon) is OK from invisibility from a game balance standpoint. In as little as 0.6s time to react not including lag, you should know that a DE will attack you while you are engaged with any other activity (taking a camp, sentry, running seige, standing on a point for capture, running from point A to B, etc.) You aren't safe even in your own towers/keeps because a DE may be inside so don't afk. In all seriousness, Thief does not ruin WvW. Deadeye ruins WvW.
  4. First, only is Desert Borderland. The other maps are way too small. The griffon pet and hopper pets can't be allowed unless ANet introduces a ton of "invisible" smokey walls around keeps. Jackal and Raptor should be OK. Skimmer might be OK but also not really needed either.
  5. I am currently sitting on over 7K+ Essence of Luck (Exotic) since I keep up converting from salvaging with my artificer. ANet can you please allow all Essences of Luck consumed after maxing Magic Find on account to just convert to Karma currency? Or at least let me use them for something like gambling via Grand Sahil Casino for a better loot table with Globs + Gold ?
  6. I won't be buying or spending any dollars or gems as the random aspect is poorly implemented. Especially when you consider this is repeating the black lion chest market with tickets but done in far more harsh out of player-control decisions. If ANet wanted more player base to spend money, they should have just added black ticket claim vendors with the various mount skin options. Thereby you take a more universal loot box currency (black lion tickets) with some semblance of earning them over time by use of random (black lion ticket scraps) and ultimately get the same/more monetization out of that pre-existing system. This then also allows players to buy mount skins and resell on BLTC for gold to equalize demand. Less harsh and just as effective at generating ANet profit since dispersed across many players as opposed to a few whales that buy everything plus the huge number of players that give up and write posts like this (and ultimately leave the game or worse for ANet, boycott future buys and become toxic to community).
