  1. And remember, this all started with the nonsense change to the outnumbered buff. When anet decided that if you are fighting on an outnumber map you don't deserve extra pips they made it clear that they weren't in the mood to make wvw fairer . And we didn't have enough complaints about it in this forum btw.
  2. I thought the repair changes were stupid but after testing it a little but man... it's the worst change ever in gw2 history. The most unfair, frustrating AND stupid change I've ever seen! I have a theory about why Anet is doing this kind of thing. They know that the WvW player base is shrinking and they are afraid that blobmmanders stop playing the game and taking their hordes of zombies with them. So, they are being blackmailed by these guys and anet is making all the changes that these easy mode lovers demand. Arenanet needs to trust in their player base and their game. If the lazy dinosaurs and their giant boomblobs leave the game other guilds will grow and take their places. We still have many medium and small guilds looking for a place in the sun even with the anet working hard against them. Just trust that the game tends to renew itself we have a fair and balanced and fun environment that didn't punish smallers groups and individual players.
  3. This will still continue to happen. Just imagine fighting near a wall that is 49% repaired... Anet's objective with this change was simply to nerf the defense, if they wanted to prevent trolls and accidents with walls it would be better to put a visual effect that indicates that the wall is being repaired.

  5. And the question remains, who asked for this? Why do they work so hard to do something that no one asked for?
  6. In fact, I think this change was a buff to defense and kind of fixes the mistake they made wile ago by buffing the hp of some sieges. Now with the disable debuff you can kill the enemy sieges very quickly, so instead of just delaying them, now you can simply kill their sieges very easily. If you combine the disable with a ballista, cannon, mortar or whatever, you can wipe the enemy's sieges very quickly. But of course, this requires some coordination and that's why I think it's not so overpowering.
  7. I would like to know why Anet insists on making teams that don't have any guilds at all.
  8. Berserkers were dominating the meta because they were the only class capable of dealing any damage. Now, the game's ttk will rise again, increasing the problems we already had with unkillable blobs, not only because now there will have less damage to hit them but because they will use more heralds and DHs which add much more sustain to their comps.
  9. Scorched Earth hits 25 targets/tick and it ticks 3 times, so it's basically no target cap, but that's NOT a problem. As they said, the damage per tick is very small and the same target will hardly stand still and take the 3 hits. In short the longbow is good for producing big numbers but it's not so deadly. It is just like the Purging Flames a while ago. Maybe it is a problem if you have 6 berserkers burning the same area at the same time but in this case any aoe will be deadly. But I agree that there are too many berserkers out there looking for easy damage and to increase the class diversity a bit I would buff rev's hammer, this game needs more damage, not less.

  11. Yeah, and nuke arc divider out of the existence and let gun flame 1 shot every newbie in the game, thats what everyone wants!
  12. I didn't like that they killed the invulnerable. If they wanted to increase EWP's usage (for some reason) the cooldown change would be enough but they love nerfing things

  17. I'm the only one who thinks there's a possibility that all these recent changes are anet's attempt to stop maguma? Imagine how bizarre it would be if they were actually punishing the entire community over a server that no one should care about. Like chemotherapy to remove a wart
  18. As far as I've tested, you don't get credit unless you kill someone during defense. And that's a problem because it's not hard to imagine people not getting any kills on defenses. Sustain in WvW is totally out of control these days. It's basically impossible for pugs to kill big boons blobs unless you're maguma and even for them it's been a difficult task. The sustain of these groups has gone insane (thanks to the insistent damage nerfs of pretty much every class) and to make it worse every class in the meta has some revive mechanic (which includes illusion of life which has bugs that have been exploited for nearly all guilds for longer than any reward system) so even if the poor pug manages to knock someone down he will be revived almost instantly and if not revived, the down will mist away because the meta is full of tempests, catalysts of all kind. So imagine being farmed for 3 hours straight and getting absolutely nothing for it. And if you are a boon blob bot, this affects you too, because if there are no rewards for TRYING, then nobody will try and you will loose your easy bags. And I don't know how to solve it. I would say anet should just go cancel this whole new reward system and start over or maybe fix the meta or maybe both.
  19. After they took away the extra pips for playing on an outnumbered map nothing surprises me anymore. This change is just another example of Anet creating problems in the game by changing mechanics that have been well established in the game for many years (for some reason) and then creating even bigger problems by trying to fix them instead of simply reverting the changes. Nobody asked to quadruple the wxp of a keep/tower defense. When we say that wvw needs better rewards we are saying that we need to receive something for every little contribution we give to our team especially the boring and dull tasks that NO ONE would do without any rewards.
  20. I still thinking they should improve loot without affecting wxp gain. Imagine taking only 6 months to reach the maximum level instead of 4 years. That's what's happening and this way they better add new achievements for veteran players like for example a title for 500k kills and maybe one for 1kk so that the feeling of progress in wvw don't end so fast
  21. And add on top of that thousands of tempest spamming shoking aura all over the place and you have the most frustrating cc festival you've ever seen.
