  1. The only legendaries I am missing are the Dreamer,The Moot, the cake torch and all underwater legendaries because I don't want them. The Sharur is the most recent legendary that I made a few months ago- and it's subtle. You don't notice it much compared to the juggernaut.but I like it for what it is. I never get to see it because I'm always asked to be on a firebrand in WvW.Also, you forgot revenant using hammer. Not just guard/engi/war. It's personal taste.on a side note: The claw of the Khan-Ur is the biggest legendary disappointment to date for sure.
  2. And an American accent to boot with dialogue that resembles a B grade movie. Like what if I want to have a Welsh or French accent without having to switch languages entirely? No, gotta sound like some basic white girl who finds bread spicy and feeds their cat/dog a vegan diet.I'd so love to have my Norn speak with a northern European or heavy Scottish accent as well. Not to mention the commander is written with 0 personality/interests/fears/flaws etc.
  3. Nice try FBI, you not stealing my fashion!
  4. More hairstyles please! Long hairstyles- and better ponytails for humans. More nordic hairstyles for Norn. more flower hairstyles for Sylvari. Less cute hairstyles for Asura, Manes for Charr - no more shared hairstyles between genders or races. There are several hairstyles that NPCS have that are unavailable to players. Please add them.No more bulky outfits. Practical please. Like your outfit designers typically add something that makes an outfit not as... good as it could have been? Like the Crystal Nomad would have been better without the crystals. The design choices make no sense more than half of the time. Please hold a player outfit design contest!! Or even a player mount design contest.Skin ideasCobra inspired raptor mountFrog springer mountMachine beetle mountAlpine wolf Jackal mountDragonfly/thing skimmer mount
  5. I'd add this to my long lecture - butConjured weapons are useless.Conjure from the ground? sure looks like it'd be cool in person but in reality it isn't - Your best bet is to not do anything with conjured weapons since you can die so fast as it is, and need skills for survivability. If you're in PvE Axe and Shield are pointless, since more often than not you're running a power build to make FGS, or Frostbow useful. However, aside from Frostbow AoE skills- none of the others have any point to use. You use the big AoE one and discard and hope another player didn't already grab your 2nd conjured weapon. The damage per hit reduction needs to be taken away or buff other skills like Lava font damage, and Ice spike AoE damage. Give more relevant boons and conditions to the class over all.Conjured weapons need a damage buff overall to make them relevant. Not a significant one, but they need something definitely tweaking and re-work.PvP ele has no real place other than to +1 or hold a point for a small time. Ele on the team? You're basically down a player even if they are good.Hybrids are supposed to be able to do it all without being over powered in a single ascpect- Weaver sword focus is the right path for ele imo- leaving core ele useless and tempest as a boring almost support that offers no relevant boons.
  6. I just wish it was quality over quantity. The last few LS updates have felt rushed. A few months of waiting just to play 15 minutes of story that leaves me like "Well.. Ok I guess?"
  7. Yes, a class does something better than the other, but ele does nothing better than any class, make sense?- maybe I should have worded that betterI'm just throwing out ideas and my opinion not saying that this is what needs to happen and yea my post is big and long bc im frustrated as butt sauce at where ele is right now. the changes aren't really justified without fixes to other skills.
  8. Well is it supposed to be intended that every other class can do something better than Elementalist at this point leaving ele almost obsolete? This is not a hybrid game and it does not reward hybrid playstyle, so why make a hybrid class? You win with DPS and sustain at the end of the day in that order.Elementalist true hybrid died with the celestial nerfs. If you want players to play something, don't nerf it without buffs and fixes of sime kind, tweak it.The introduction of reduced damage per hit is a problem; Meteor storm should have never been touched with the damage reduction per hit same with glyph of storms / air. Over all damage redution; sure, but per hit? No. I don't say that to be rude, it's true. It's as if they couldn't think of anything else and pulled it out of nowhere. Non ele players called for nerfs when they didn't fully understand what it would do to the class- but like they care and of course, got what they wanted; punishing ele players way too much.Lava fonts only use now is to stack might. Meteor shower is sad- especially on my full ascended zerk ele.Scepter still has no real value, aside from niche players since it's high risk low reward with fresh air.dagger dagger is pretty useless after removal of celestial/nerf. Unless you're that ele bad ass who uses arcane dodge to complete combo's and inflict DPS with your rotation but most elementalists don't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to rotating and feel justified face tanking on staff.Elementalist has no place in raids now- I was nicely asked to switch to something else in my raid group. My WvW guild asked us ele mains to play something else. and in PvE I prefer to play my mesmer who hits harder and has more sustain then Elementalist unless you're constantly using barriers as a weaver or looking to kite a player in WvW in a 1v1 (but eventually you die unless you run away since the sustain isn't enough for actual duels) or playing some version of a tempest that has no place in anything other than solo PvE. Sure it is still fun, however I'm having to work twice as hard to get the same result that I can do in less time and effort on say my warrior, mesmer or, guardian.Ele needs a full rework to be hybrid which means only minimal DPS, Condi DMG, + Healing buffs for them, because at this rate it's jack poop like scrapper.Tempest Warhorn needs buffs+ cd reduction to be at least considered into the specialization it was intended for. It's sad to think that a weapon is completely useless because of senselessly long cooldowns.Firebrand makes healing tempest obsolete. (No, don't nerf firebrand just so tempest can have a leg to stand on)Deadeye and Revenant make it so that DPS ele is not a thing.Warhorn (tempest) skills need to be 15 seconds per cast in PvE. PvP/WvW 18 seconds. And take away the moving AoE- make it one medium sized AoE ring when cast that you don't have to chase. Moving AoE's are a stupid mechanic and should be removed from warhorn.Their healing skills needs to be buffed for them to help their personal sustain, but they do not need to be pushed into a bunker corner.damage and AoE's need a complete fix- take away the damage reduction per hit. Every other class that has a chain skill with multiple hits needs this implemented as well if it's not taken away, to be fair to elementalist nerfs.I might get a lot of hate for this but it's just an idea.Maybe make it so that Tempest have ammo charges to their shouts and the final use gives a medium sized AoE overload that moves with the caster and can't be interrupted.Weaver - sword and staff should not be the only useful weapons on the class- scepter and dagger/dagger should be just as rewarding and fluid as staff and sword are. They need a complete rework so that they don't feel as clunky.Elementalist elites as a whole are all but useless- Weave self should grant boons and be instant cast, rebound should grant more boons and have a cd reduction, FGS needs a damage buff and CD reduction with stacks of burning + torment on each hit. Summon elemental should come with boons granted with CD reduction and each elemental should cast conditions on the target and work like ranger pets or spirits.New idea for tornado elite- it changes elements based on what attunement you are on. You no longer become a tornado and instead cast it in a chosen spot for AoE effects. Or a swirling AoE ring around you that follows you similar to the revenant skill that has the swiling hammers. Make it last 5-8 seconds with a CD of 90 seconds. Maybe make these the new overloads? Give them relevant boons and conditions. Fire attunement: 5 stacks of might, fury for allies and inflicts burning and torment to foesWater attunement: is regen, healing AoE, removes all condi for allies 5s and inflicts chill and slow on foes 4sAir attunement: is quickness, alacrity, for allies and blind and bleed on foes. 4sEarth attunement: 3 stacks of Stability 10 seconds , protection and resistance for allies 3s and cripple and weakness on foes. 6s
  9. why so someone can steal my fashion? NO! HELL NO WE WONT GO HELL NO WE WONT GO
  10. This happened to a lot of their 'visions' that were supposed to make the game unique, unfortunately. With the advent of raids and elite specs a lot of their core tenets for the game went kaput. The idea was to have a game where you didn't have the "holy trinity" of tank, DPS, healer. Some classes had higher health pools, some had higher damage, but it wasn't a hugely significant difference. There were niches, but you could typically do other things while fulfilling that niche. (Remember when people were happy to get a core ele with a staff b/c they needed heals? And you could also do decent damage at the same time? That was the closest thing to a healer meta there was!) Edit: a friend reminded me that there was an early-game comment from the devs about taking five elementalists into a dungeon to show that you weren't pigeonholed into a role, and that elementalists were an especially good example of this because of attunements. Then raids - and the druid & chronomancer especially - happened. Ever since then, their vision of all classes having multiple viable builds was thrown out the window for almost any but open-world and story players. In raids, mid+ fractals, PvP, and WvW, there's always a meta spec now, and if you're not playing it then you're gonna get yelled at (even if you're doing your job) or not be able to do your job at all. For ele, the pigeonholed role now is 'DPS,' and since they're not balancing burst v. sustained DPS well with their updates, ele isn't the shining example of that role any more. If Anet had kept up their initial stance that the elementalist was flexible rather than just changing it to be more DPS-oriented over time, there wouldn't be as big of an outcry over nerfing one aspect of them because they would still have other niches they could fill well. It's resulted in people being angry at build changes that touch the meta at all, and staff ele has been the closest thing to the meta since...basically the start of the game. IMO that does mean it (or other weapons) should be tweaked so people are more likely to play the others, but any way you do it people are gonna complain at this point, especially when it starts with staff nerfs to bring it down to more of the level of the others. It's been entrenched as the ele weapon by now, so people cling to it. I'd rather them bring other weapons up to par so they're used more often, then balance all the weapons around each other when the dust settles and they see how they're being used. If they improved scepter/focus for example, and people were still using almost entirely staffs in all their builds like they do now, there would be need for a serious look at further balance changes (and possibly some justified nerfs at that point, whether to staff or the other weapon). Bit of a rambly tangent, I suppose, but tl;dr I agree with the sentiment that they've departed from their vision quite a lot. I prefer to play sword weaver bc it's fun as hell and it has the potential to be dps/condi/tank hybrid however, every other class does those exact things better which brings up the point "why do we need a hybrid weaver when we have a scourge, chrono, druid or firebrand? those classes make it so that sword weaver is pointless unless you're killing a brainless mob in PvE or a very squishy player 1v1 in WvW . however i want the same for core ele and tempest i really like tempest for what it is, but the long cooldowns don't make up for the lack of other things. I'm agitated at the ele nerf due to the fact that I mained ele in WvW raids and now i'm being asked to switch to something else, a firebrand. the most braindead class on the face of Tyria. Like their is no substitute to make up for the low HP pool and massive DPS loss and that's not balance. Do I agree with ele being pushed onto staff over time as it's only reason for living? No. as I stated before i love sword, but the fact that DPS gets you the win at the end of the day.But I agree with you 100% It's very well put and well said. I remember the good ol' days of being able to do it all. RIP.I know they will do something good for ele in the long run. But it might be a long time before they figure out what it might be.
  11. Elementalist in PVP is supposed to be a meme. There are some support builds that kind of work. The problem is other builds are doing what the Elementalist does, but better.I don't play Elementalist in WvW to comment on that.Elementalists in more general PVe, like exploration and story instances was already suffering. Harder boss fights can be a pain as an Elementalist while they are a breeze for nearly every other profession out there. Now it will only become even harder, because reasons.Elementalists in instanced PVE, Fractals and Raids will suffer because their rotation is more complicated than others, but I'm positive they will remain strong there. After all Elementalists shine when they have babysitters to revive them, heal them and buff them. And by shine I mean do good damage because that's all Elementalists are good for. It's sad really. Arenanet only balances around the Elementalist being with enough allies to keep them alive. While in any situation that you won't have such allies available, WvW roaming, most cases in PVP, solo story instances and so on Elementalists keep getting worse and worse. And because some Necromancer/Scourge will pop in, they always do when Elementalists get nerfed, quick reminder that Scourge is meta and Necromancer was meta, in nearly every aspect of the game outside Raids and high-end Fractals, while having the easiest time when going solo in any type of content. Well said, I couldn't put my finger on it but it does feel like ele does the best when there is a babysitter who does what ele does, just better @Chasind.3128 said: Elementalist in PVP is supposed to be a meme. Well said, I couldn't put my finger on it but it does feel like ele does the best when there is a babysitter who does what ele does, just better But...why must ele be reduced to this? The sustain is there when built for it...dunno why the player should be forced to play an unsuitable role better done by other specialized classes, who even decided that ele must be pocket dps bot for the rest? I am starting to like the direction the devs are taking with ele. Every weapon on ele has support/CC and dps option that display the hybrid nature of the class...but somehow the playerbase decided that ele must be full zerk no sustain DPS bot...you can't go against the design of the classThe thing is with elementalist; everything they do is done better by another class the only thing they had in their corner was DPS, anet made them that way after the true hybrid ele died after celestial nerf.insert giorgio tsoukalos meme here "Balance"
  12. don't think they really know. every class does what ele does but 50% better than ele at this point.
  13. "The sad part is even if they realize these traits / skills ect are toxic design they can't fix them, the player base would kitten a brick." Well, they made elementalist staff useless in WvW without fixing the lack of synergy with other traits and ignored them completely. Organized guilds aren't using them at all anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same to all long range weapons on classes that are squishy.
  14. waaaahhhhhhhh mommy i dont like something pls nerf it :C
  15. Absolutely. I hate that Norn and Humans share hair when they are 2 different races and cultures, but anet said "let's make them the same since they look the same." I remember alot of ppl complaining when the old idle was replaced with the Norn one. But the option to have new idles would be awesome as well - none of them shared between races or genders.
  16. They're trying to reduce it to it's pitiful state before the Celestial meta in 2015.They won't read this because they don't want to own up to their bad decision by nerfing their only long range dmg.60% IS WAY OVERDONE. They said it's not performing as intended so they're putting it to it's intended dmg- when those are false words for hiding a nerf. They do not want Ele to have a place in any game modes. WvW commanders are using them with their "bug" atm but ele will be no more in DPS groups- and I pray they aren't forced into a healing corner again when FB and Scrapper heal better than ele atm. This is a bad decision on Anet's part and they know it but have no clue how to fix it.People cry for nerfs on ele because they don't play ele and are too stupid to avoid their meteor and then cry because they can't figure out how to sustain or dodge.Ele will be pure glass after this with no damage. Anet's "wise" decision. They need to buff their other weapons in this case with dmg and shorter CD.

  18. umbrella glider - like a legit umbrella but reinforced due to the fact that the strong updrafts would break a normal one.
  19. If they ever release Cantha as an expansion I could see a "kimono" inspired outfit but it would definitely be something they could move around in since kimono limit broad movements severely. But they'd have to be careful about it and not go very closely to the real thing as to not upset anyone for culturally inaccurate design. Similar to how people in their ignorance get "geisha" tattoos going with a female with "Asian design" and called it geisha when it's very far from the real thing. About like sticking a feather in your hair and calling yourself a Native American. So it'd be bound to upset someone.I could see it as a thing in the gem store but nothing like an actual (whatever style) kimono for said purposes.
  20. More outfits that conform to the races like the marriage outfits did.Less buttcapes- NO MORE TRENCHCOAT OUTFITSMore items that give us hair even if it's preset.New cosmetic options -NOT just new colors for other racesNew hair and face options for Charr, Norn, Asura, Sylvari. Raven inspired mounts!(let me marry Braham)
  21. yes, but I feel like the far shiverpeaks will be our next base of operations after Elona. Basically go into the Norn homeland since Jormag is a thing not to be forgotten about and Cantha has flooded due to the Jade sea returning into water. Also there is still an unnamed ocean dragon that's taken home near Cantha. Cantha will probably be last on the list of expansions- but yes I'd love to go back.
  22. I am so tired of our characters being Mary/Marty Sue's. Like no matter what they will triumph and they're lame "Haha! good guys will win the day! But I have no personality!" But I understand why they're written so basic. For us to decide how our characters are outside of story. - well my sylvari I imagine is Nightmare court and would have nothing to do with any of the NPC's so I never bring her through story instead I bring my human thief or human/norn mesmers depending.Like half of the stuff they say is so predictable and mundane and very basic for a hero and it's a one way path - no choices it's set in stone. I liked the overall story because of the nostalgia from gw1. Also I want a romance between my character and Braham Eirsson!!!! PLEASE??? I just want my norn mes to marry him and make him grow his gorgeous hair back along with fixing his attitude. Like maybe some side dialogue between them that hints at romance? c:>>!!! More personal class instances where due to whatever class we play, we can do something new. Like ranger can tame local wildlife to come to their aid- Thieves can lie or unlock things and find back ways. Warrior can knock ppl out or pick up heavy objects, Necros can raise the dead from graves and command them, mesmers can manipulate the enemy and escape or keep them busy. etc
