OK, I think we have a culprit here. I disabled TrendMicro antivirus, but that didn't work. I then added an exception for my GuildWars2 folder and continued to have antivirus turned off and then it worked. I then tried and enabled antivirus on trend Micro again, and it seems to be working correctly now. So, it does appear Trend Micro is causing the issue. Hopefully my exception for the folder will work, and Arena net can find a cause/fix for it.

Well, wouldn't you know, I'm using TrendMicro Antivirus as well. I did disable it but it still wouldn't work. However, if you have trendmicro and so do I... at least it's a common denominator.

I've created a separate topic for that issue specifically. Hopefully it will get some visibility.

I launched the game to update it to get the latest patch with DX11. It launched for about 10 seconds as I could see it downloading the new launcher. It then just terminates. I started the game again and can see in task manager it ran for about a second, then just terminated. I Uninstalled the game, deleted the game directory, deleted the GUildWars2 folder in appData and the My Documents areas, deleted all files in the temp directories. I then downloaded a fresh installer from the website. I can see in task manager that the installer launches for a second and then just immediately terminates.

I've deleted everything GW2 related. From my temp folder, from APP data, From my Documents folder. Still installer launches for less than a second and closes the process.

I'm having same issue. I uninstalled completely and then downloaded a fresh installer. Will launch the installer for less than a second and just close down.
