  1. I literally made a guild called Bring Penguins to Tyria! It's been pretty much dead since the game launched, but it's definitely an idea I was passionate about! I would love to see penguins.
  2. Did we play the same GW1? Because Joko was a comedic relief character from the start. He was always campy and ridiculous. That was mirrored pretty well in GW2.
  3. You just complained that these people are not dying and "doing just fine" then listed a bunch of times they literally said "hey we're dying".
  4. You're a commander of the Pact, but nothing else. As far as the ward is concerned, you're just "some person who happens to be useful". Why would they call you commader? You don't command any of them. Your rank doesn't really apply outside of the organization where you hold said rank. Sort of like how I used to be in the military. I finished my service in the reserves. While I was doing stuff for the reserves, I was addressed by my rank at the time. My normal day-to-day job was maintenance for a hotel company. Literally no one in my hotel company would refer to my by what rank I held in the military. That would be stupid. I was just a maintenance person to the hotel.
  5. The primeval dervish skin would be cool. It was one of my favorite armors on my favorite character and I missed all the times it was available in gw2
  6. The real solution would be to grow up and be happy for other people. I literally just finished grinding out that skyscale the very day before they announced it getting easier and all I could think was "thank God". It wasn't hard, but good lord it was tedious. I'm happy people will no longer have to visit 15 different spots of dragonfall 80 times and traverse the world of Tyria at least twice. It was awful. You can still make people "work for it". Just don't make it such a slog.
  7. Yeah, it's just gambling at this point, which is fine in game with in game items (ecto skritt, etc.) But once it starts involving real money it becomes more problematic. There's a reason the US (and most other nations) have such strict rules on gambling. Casinos, lotteries, etc. They all prey on people who are either easily addicted or desperate, so they restrict gambling to only operate within small specially licensed areas. Unfortunately, these rules don't apply to online games yet in the US. Hopefully that changes soon. I've seen that issue pop up a bit recently and it's kind of gross that arena net took advantage of this loophole to push gambling. So I definitely see where the issue is now.
  8. People are not mad about the skins being premium content, no. People are mad because they were implemented as a form of gambling. Had you been able to pay 400 Gems for each skin - knowing full well which skin you are getting - it would be business as usual. Ohhh. That makes sense. Hopefully they fix that.

  10. I might be missing something here, but it seems to me like we all knew this was coming. The moment they announced there would be mounts not a single person doubted this would be Anets new gem store cash cow. Is everyone just mad that they're being so blatant about it? These are skins. They serve no purpose. Just like all the outfits and black lion weapon skins and glider skins people have been dropping money for since launch.
  11. It's not too unreasonable to think the decision to cast out Balthazar involved some debate. I'm sure it's a pretty huge decision, that took a lot of arguing and Lyssa might have just been the longest to hold out on it. Also, it could be alluding to the fact that Lyssa might not be the most predictable of gods, so her getting on board with a decision might just be a little surprising. But when you couple that with the fact that Balthazar did have her mirror and he didn't mention her in his ending villain speech, (like, at all. This didn't seem like a "you interrupted him" kind of thing. The only non-lore related excuse is that the developers just had a stupidly huge oversight) it becomes a little suspicious.
