  1. I dunno, I haven't had any issues with this at all. It has the same cooldown as weapon swap. Whenever weapon swap comes off cooldown, I unleash then weapon swap and unleash again.
  2. Compared to the other unleash skills it does feel a bit more difficult to notice.
  3. Sword/Sword is good for condi Reaper only if you are replacing great sword. It is still a DPS loss, but you get a full ranged damage kit. The downside of offhand sword is the long cast times. After playing them in raids tonight, I like having sword/sword on Power Reaper since the DPS is the same and I get some mobility and ranged DPS.
  4. Yeah, looking at the DPS rotation for the current build, I guess you would replace dagger 3-2 with sword 2-2, which will be a dps loss unless you are hitting multiple targets. Sword only has higher DPS if you stay on the weapon set, which we currently don't do because great sword is so much stronger. So yeah, the only benefit to sword right now is if you are fighting multiple enemies or if you are forced to attack from range for prolonged periods of time. It does feel pretty crappy when compared to what others got. Edit: After further testing dagger and sword comes out to be roughly the same DPS because the cast time of sword 2-2 is shorter than the cast time of dagger 3-2, which makes up for the DPS loss. So overall I'd say replace dagger with sword so that if you need to range you can and you'll have higher DPS when fighting multiple enemies.
  5. Yeah, I feel like it needs some after-cast reductions and a bump in power coefficients. It just doesn't feel like that big of a DPS increase at the moment.
  6. From what I have tested, it is the best power weapon set to pair with a great sword, just not by a significant margin. Sword 3 is the only DPS loss skill, so use that one only for mobility or boon corruption. Still working on further testing to find the best rotation. Right now I am doing 2-5-4-2, 3 auto chains, 2, 3 auto chains, repeat.
  7. Yeah sure. Remind me again what happened to the last class that provided great barriers and DPS? Yeah I wouldn't expect it to last too long.
  8. We already know that rewards will not be removed and they have made no indication that prices will increase. You only need to complete 3 of the 4 tasks to receive your Daily, 4 out of 5 if you include the log on task. And honestly, I am already at the point where I am running out of stuff that I even want to spend my AA on, so the pace seems fine. I won't be able to play for an entire month next month, and I don't feel worried at all about missing out on anything. It's simple really, just do the content at your leisure and buy the stuff when you want. Any FOMO that exists is simply self inflicted at this point for no reason.
  9. This would be such a great change. It makes no sense why it is a 3 second cast time nowadays. If we get pocket raptors, it needs to be a small pack of them. They can still operate as a single unit, but it would be really cool to have like 5 pocket raptors following me around and attacking kitten.
  10. I think you are playing the game wrong. Why are you comparing our stability skills first of all? So what if ours isn't some shout that easily applies the boon? Our stability skill also deals damage and converts boons to torment and cripple. Also, in 90% of fights everyone is stacked. It takes minimal effort to hit everyone with the skill. Also, when I play I have 100% uptime on 25 might, fury, alac, regen, and prot. So it definitely sounds like you are doing something wrong there. lol
  11. This would be cool, but if they do this then I demand they make the locusts swarm around the players we give swiftness to as well.
  12. Personally, I don't care about banning raid sellers. If that is how they want to make their gold, then so be it. But there really should be a separate channel for that. Now that I think about it though, there does need to be some enforcement in the lfg channels, because the people advertising their guilds there are doing so despite a guild advertisement lfg already existing. I actually completely forgot about that channel. Looking further into this, it appears that people advertising their guilds on LFG channels other than Guild Recruitment is a reportable offense and defined as LFG system abuse according to an older forum post I found from Gaile Gray. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Policy-on-the-LFG-Tool So in that post, it starts off with So first thing I noted is that they do acknowledge that flooding LFG channels with sales ads makes it difficult for players to use it for its intended purposes. So she goes on to say that the LFG tool is only to be used for the formation of a group, but players may also use it to sell a spot in a group. The issue with this is, players are not simply selling a spot in a group they are forming at that moment. They are advertising a service that they provide. They are not looking to form a group and run the raid or strike right away. They are redirecting you to their website or Discord or guild so that you may purchase their service. As such, their ads always stay up in the LFG, and they could be falling into that gray area now where they are indeed guilty of LFG system abuse as defined by Anet. For instance, here is one of the ads currently present in the Raids LFG (personal info will be edited out): So as you can see, they are not using the LFG to form a group. They are using it to redirect you to their storefront and sell you a service. This is not simply selling an open slot in a group being formed. And again, if they want to sell raids, have at it, but they should have a proper channel in which to do so instead of cluttering the channel people are using to actually form groups. It is also just a bad look for new players when they go looking to join raids for the first time, which is something they have publicly voiced their opinions on for some time now. She also clarifies later in the thread stating: So it does appear for sure that guilds should not be posting recruitment messages in those LFG channels and we can just go ahead and report them for LFG system abuse. Honestly, I should probably go back and update my original post and title at some point with everything that I'm seeing now.
  13. Oh the original post was made during a night of heavy drinking and gaming as I explained in a previous post. lol. I could perhaps throw an update in the original post. Edit: Upon further research, it may actually be LFG system abuse. Updating original post now.
  14. Just realized you also made the ill-informed post about Scourge being dead in end-game content. So, again, you are wrong in your assessment, and Scourge is actually an incredible Heal Alac build right now. Also, part of the "support" of staff is its ability to generate a ton of life force. Currently, staff has excellent life force generation from range, maintains perma regen, has decent power damage bursts, is a good source of poison, chill, and weakness, great self condi cleanse, and has good cc that can be traited to be unblockable. I feel as though staff has always been more of a PvP utility weapon, but has recently seen more use in PvE due to the damage buffs. Overall it is a great weapon to use for just about any build currently except for maybe a min-max condi dps build. I would actually hate to see staff gutted and relegated to just being a support weapon. I currently have a zerker, viper, harrier, and cele staff for each of the builds I play because of how great and versatile it is right now. If they were to make any improvements to staff, I would say perhaps give it some more condi application and make staff 4 transfer conditions from nearby allies as it used to do back during the core days. If staff were to become a pure support weapon, the rest of Necromancers would require nerfs to sustain due to the added sustain that staff would now provide as well. So sure, some staff abilities could be improved upon, but staff is not in a bad spot right now and is still a great weapon. It for sure does not need to become some pure support weapon. And Scourge is already performing amazing as a heal alac support build, especially after the last patch.
  15. It actually hasn't been dead. It has been the go-to Shade for Heal Scourges since release and has seen use in PvP as well. You clearly did not comprehend the OP's post at all. The OP isn't wanting Sand Savant to be baseline because it is better, they want it to be baseline so that we can no longer have more than one Shade out at a time because currently, we are able to provide alacrity for more than just our squad. I am seeing the same numbers in my raids, where I am supplying roughly 84% of the squad's alacrity instead of just the 50% intended by the devs. As for the effects, the barrier produced by F1 and F5 are already at 300, which is the Sand Savant range, despite not having to take Sand Savant. It would also make sense to make Sand Savant baseline due to the recent changes they made to the shade durations. Also, no Necromancer in this game that has a staff has any issues at all tagging mobs in meta events. Sand Savant is a completely dead trait now and is currently serving no purpose in any game mode.
  16. So then I am going to assume you haven't read anything here. I am still doing pug raids in addition to my static raids. The issue is all these posts advertising raid sells and guild ads clogging up the lfg when people just want to find a group to run with. It would be more beneficial if those raid sellers and guild advertisers had their own channels instead of clogging up the normal lfg channels. It also just gives a horrible first impression when new players want to try raids and all they see is these ads. Those players have came here to the forums, Facebook, and Reddit to complain about that very thing. So, there is an established and completely legitimate issue. The fix (though not absolute) is pretty simple and does not negatively impact anyone. And then there are people like you that come in talking about "change your gameplay" and "form your own group". So, unless you are 12 or just here to troll, I'm sure you can see how nothing you've said has anything to do with this post.
  17. I can definitely vouch and say it is. I have wound up in this situation out of necessity a few times now due to the other healer dying, and I can confirm that a single Heal Alac Scourge can solo heal the squad. Honestly, Sand Savant needs to be the baseline shade (without the increased cd) with the way they are going, and we should get a new trait there. Probably go the same route they did with Druid, and make the third trait that replaces Sand Savant focused on healing. So for our Grandmaster traits, we would have one that adds more damage, one that adds more boons, and then one that gives a decent healing boost that would be good for things like PvP.
  18. As someone that has been playing Heal Scourge for a long time, I just want to point out some incorrect things being stated here. First off, boon application radius is 300, not 180. The only one that still has the 180 radius is Sand Cascade, which is not needed to maintain Alacrity, especially after the last patch. Both Sandstorm Shroud and Manifest Sand Shade apply their barriers (and by extension might, condi cleanse, and alacrity) in a 300 radius. Second, you can definitely provide ranged support, and very easily I might add. I know this as a fact because again, I have already done it. Most recently on Sabetha just last night I was the flak kiter on my Heal Alac Scourge. Heal Scourge can also easily function as a solo healer. Again, just last night on a couple of runs my other healer died early on and so I had to solo Heal the fight. In fact, on Xera, the other healer was also the tank, so someone quickly dropped a cake for me to eat for the toughness mid fight and I solo heal tanked the rest of the fight. Although our rez ability has been nerfed, it is by no means gone or unusable. If it stayed in its previous state, Heal Scourge would have been stupid OP now. I do wish it would go back to pulling down allies continuously, but Scourges still have the best rez abilities in the game. Finally, on fights that need stability, Trail of Anguish has been plenty sufficient for this task. If need be you can take it with Serpent Siphon as well for the Aegis. Sure, having even more stability and Aegis is always nice for those groups that are struggling with mechanics and need a carry, but it would also start to overload the spec with more than it needs to function. One player does not need to be able to do absolutely everything for the team. Oh, also, on the boon support part, just want to say I am currently able to supply about 84% of the entire squad's alacrity. So not only is my group at 100% alacrity uptime, but I am providing quite a bit of alacrity to the other group as well. So please, just stop it already with these false statements about how bad Heal Alac Scourge is right now. There are of course some improvements that can be made as with all classes, but it is actually in a great spot right now.
  19. In what world does this comment have anything to do with anything I have stated thus far? I don't know if you got lost and wandered into the wrong forum thread or what. 🤣
  20. One, I have no memory of making this post and am pretty sure this happened on a late night of drinks and gaming. Two, going back and reading my original post, it looks like you are intentionally avoiding the point being made. I never said they prevent me or stop me from doing the content, I said they get in the way. And honestly, they do. That is an objective truth. Whenever a player wants to play raids or strikes and goes to the lfg to look for a group to join, they first have to filter out all of the advertisements for people selling runs or advertising their guilds. Even on the forums we have a separate category for that. I suppose a better question would be, what is the downside of there being a specific sub-category for these advertisements? I get it, most people are here to disagree because they love arguing online. But if raids and strikes had Experienced, Training, and some third Advertise tab, what negative impact does that then have on the players? I thought people in this game were all for making lfg improvements? Also, one last thing, those saying "Just block them" is horrible advice. Just because someone makes an advertisement post on lfg does not mean you never want any contact with that player again. That is just a completely ridiculous thing to suggest when there is a much more simple solution.
  21. Can you please for the love of God take all those kitten kitten lfg spam posts for raids and strike statics put them in their own lfg? Like, I have to apply the -{ filter and still a ton get through. If you want these bots to have a channel, make them a channel. But when I want to from a group, these spammers get in the way Anet. Please, make a lfg group and put all of those ssssssad losers in that group swo the rest of us can form a party. The above original post was made while enjoying some drinks, so is not all that coherent. I would like to further clarify and update this post with some information I found while looking around on this topic. So to start with, this is what I was able to find concerning Anet's official stance on LFG System Abuse from Gaile Gray on the old forums: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Policy-on-the-LFG-Tool So, a few takeaways I get from that are: Players posting guild recruitment ads in LFG channels other than the Guild Recruitment LFG are abusing the LFG system and can be reported for doing so. Flooding the LFG channels with sales ads does make it difficult for players to use it for its intended purpose. Players can use LFG to sell a spot in a group but may not use it to sell items. So just based on that, my position stands that there is nothing wrong with players advertising to sell raids and whatnot, but they should have their own channel to do so. That way, the Raid LFG and others can be cleared of such clutter and make it easier for people to quickly find others to group up with, as the channel was intended for. I did run into another issue, however, when I started looking more into these raid seller posts and how they fit within the rules laid out by Gaile's posts. Now I am more in the boat of thinking they also qualify as LFG system abuse. Gaile specifies that players can use the tool to sell a spot in a group and that the tool is to only be used for the formation of a group. So at the time of writing this, these are the posts I am seeing in the raid LFG (edited to remove specific guild or player info): So looking at these raid-selling ads, we can see these players are not actively forming a group or attempting to sell an open slot in a group. They are selling a service, and in order to purchase that service, you must contact the player or visit their website or Discord, purchase the product you want, and then schedule a date and time to do it. There is no group being formed in this instance. The LFG post is nothing more than an advertisement taking up space that is meant to redirect the player to what is essentially the guild's storefront. I might add that it is not even raids being solely advertised here, despite it being posted on the raid channel. And since the groups are never actually being formed, the posts just remain up. I also noticed that each player with such a post is just parked in a guild hall or player hub and not actively doing anything as well. They are essentially just ad bots for their guild services (yes, I know they are not actually bots, calm down). So if you want to get technical on this, then these posts are still classified as LFG System Abuse and should be reported as such. But again, I would rather just see these posts moved to their own LFG channel, much like how the guild recruitment posts received their own channel. Doing so would clear up some clutter from the LFG and make it easier for people searching for such services to find them, considering they are selling more than just raid runs. Such a change is beneficial to all parties involved really. Also, "Just block them" is an absolutely ridiculous solution. Just because someone posts a raid-selling ad does not mean you no longer want any contact with that player. I think that should clear up everything and shine some more light on what I was trying to talk about originally when I was in a bit of an incoherent state.
  22. Pretty much same as the old build/rotation. take mid-mid-mid on Scourge. F1 and priority skills on cooldown, no real rotation.
  23. After playing this some more, I've got to say, screw the old Scourge. Again, I really want them to make Sand Savant without the recharge increase baseline and the replace the Sand Savant trait with something else. With that said, Scourge is in a great spot right now. Condi DPS Scourge is pulling some great numbers. I'm constantly top DPS or close to in actual raid encounters. My benchmarks were hitting 34k or something like that (I forget the actual number) and I constantly bench about 5-10k under the SnowCrow benchmark. For those complaining about Shade spam, we always did that. Even with old dps Scourge, you had to spam the Shade off cooldown, it was part of the rotation. Condi Alac Scourge is a new build that now exists thanks to the updates. It only requires roughly 28% or so boon duration to work. I normally run with 45% or so just to be safe. I am able to bench (iirc) 23k dps with it (and again I suck) while maintaining perma alac. Also, again, in actual raid encounters I wind up one of the top dps even as alac dps. Heal Alac Scourge is another awesome new build we got from the updates. Before 18 July it was already working great. The 18 July patch just buffed it even further and the build is amazing. Yes, we sacrificed some of our rez potential, but the tradeoff was worth it. I get it, some of you were completely happy with only being a super niche rez bot for total noobs, I was not though. So I am happy that I can actually justify bringing a Heal Alac Scourge to a normal raid party. Currently, we can maintain perma alac, regen, protection, 25 might, and fury pretty easily. Also, even though it was nerfed we still have the best resurrections in the game, and apply some of the best barrier output. If you do not like the current Heal Scourge I honestly don't care about your opinion, because this is so much better than anything we have ever had before. So overall, Scourge is in a pretty great spot right now. We have Condi DPS, Condi Alac DPS, and Heal Alac Scourge builds. I am going to try and see if I can make a Condi Alac Heal Scourge with Plaguedoctor or something because it may actually work as well. I want Anet to fix the Shade issue, but Necro in general is doing pretty great right now and I feel like some of you are complaining just because you enjoy complaining. If you disagree on something, just explain why. If you can't explain why and you're here just to be negative, then by all means just drop one of those confused emojis.
  24. I dunno, I've been following the Snowcrows benchmarks and the dps for Reaper has only gone up. If you have some logs to post then go for it, but from what I have seen Reapers have been getting steady dps buffs lately.
  25. Well, for those wanting to know, I normally always hit about 5-10k under whatever the established benchmark is. With that said, I was able to easily do 33k dps on Condi Scourge and 23k dps on Condi Alac Scourge. With 42.33% boon duration (some Ritualist gear plus a Shade) I was able to effortlessly maintain perma alac on a condi dps Scourge. And again, I always fall pretty short on benchmarks and I hit these numbers with minimal effort. I feel like people are being a bit over-dramatic here. Also, I was playing Heal Alac Scourge prior to today's patch, and it is even better now. I would still like them to clean up our sand shades mechanic ( I honestly just feel like making Sand Savant the default shade without the recharge increase and giving us a new trait there) but Scourge feels like it is in a pretty decent spot right now. Edit: Just dropped my boon duration to 28.53%, still maintained perma alac on Condi Alac Scourge and bumped dps to 24k. Still doable, but I prefer to just sac that 1k dps to ensure my alac does not drop.
