  1. Im not reading all 394 pages of this thread, but a nice QoL for me would be expanding the "Gain Research notes from salvaging crafted items" to include the Dragonsblood and Heroic Dragonsblood weapons. Not sure why they were skipped, but I have a bunch of them waiting patiently in an alt character's inventory for the day I will be able to get research notes from them.

  2. Hey there! Sorry to see your thread got buried without a response.

If you're still looking for a guild, then our recruiting thread probably says it better than I could in a short reply.
But basically what might seem relevant!

    - We are a longstanding community of players who pass between a variety of games and MMOs while waiting for new GW2 content to come out.
    - Our member base is a mix of casual to veteran and our discord server allows you to pick the brains of many people who may or may not have most of the game's content, lore or mechanics memorized.

    - We've got a couple of ingame events in GW2 and a recurring one in GW1 coming up over the summer.

The discord link is in the forum post, or you can contact me here, on the forums or ingame! If you wanna get in touch!
Hope to hear from you 🙂

  3. Hi! Might proffer my own guild in your general direction?
    Our recruiting thread probably says it better than I could in a short reply, but basically what seems relevant to you;

    - We currently have most of our chatters in discord via text chat (though voice chat enjoyers are not cryptids and do exist, that is their choice.)
    - We've got a couple of ingame events in GW2 and one in GW1 coming up over the summer.
    - We are LGBTQIA friendly!

That is very out-of-date.  It was changed with the previous forum software.  We now have new software that does not allow pictures from some sources. You can always use a link to show your picture, though.

I mean yeah but it looks ugly on a guild recruiting post to just slap a big red line of text in where a header image would look better.
Are there any image sources that are allowed? I noticed Imgur is no longer supported.

This has everything to do with the forum software suite that was chosen to be used for the new forums. Without getting too deep into why, there are issues with how the forum handles non-standard inputs and how it surfaces those to clients without their control. There are native and legacy embeds that are allowed currently, but since the issues that were present at the time of launching this forum still existed, image upload and image embeds are disabled until further notice.

So its been 5 years, has there been any development on letting us use imgur embeds for images on the forums yet?

GW2 - I've been playing off and on since 2012.FFXIV - Used to play on ARR on PS4, however started over with a friend on PC about a month ago. I am currently pushing Shadowbringers MSQ.Warframe - Pretty much the same as FFXIV.

Hello! Someone (probably me) will get you an invite ingame pretty soon, and if you'd like to come ahead and join the discord while you wait here is the server link!. =)

  7. Sure would have been nice to know that the limited LI -> LD exchange was going away in advance of it just being stealthed out.LD's had no purpose until this patch, so I held off on doing the exchange of LI -> LD until the specifics of crafting Coalescence were laid out.I've made my Legendary armor, and I have no intention of going through that again for more sets.

Really? You (or others) would be put off buying keys because you had a higher chance at getting something that you value out of them? The worthless items suddenly have some small worth, however the exchange is handled. Junk is still junk and still bloats the lootbox drop table, but if this were implemented, you would have the choice to trade it in or hoard it.

@AlexxxDelta.1806 said:Why would they do that when they want people to buy more keys for statuettes? Trash items bloating the RNG pool are a staple of lootboxes for a reason. It works.

I have another, more viable solution to this issue, one that also happens to be on the user end. You are guaranteed far less unwanted BLC items if you never buy BLC keys to open the gamble chests. This way, you 'll only have to deal with the few items you get from the tiny amount of keys in-game. A pretty easy task.

This would be a viable option if I didn't want those BLC only armor, backpack and weapon skins that they like to add for flavor.

@"Turkeyspit.3965" said:This has been brought up many times before, and I fully support the idea. Even if the conversion rate isn't a 1-for-1, I'd rather exchange my repair canisters et al for statuettes that I could then use to acquire skins, etc from the BL merchant.

But I posted to ask: 90 self style kits in a year? That's a heck of a lot more BL chest opening than "key farming, map completion and the odd key bought with irl money>gems" :astonished:

Yeah, I did a quick forum search for this topic and couldn't find an existing thread to bump (though maybe my keywords were wrong.) I was playing Elder Scrolls Online, and their Loot-crate system with the crown shards was what made me think of it, in all honesty.

It probably wasn't 90 in a year, I'm sure I had some from before I got the hair contract- and even with uh, 30ish characters, I don't change their looks all that often. Even so, it feels like the 3rd slot in chests is reserved for that all important self style hair kit that the game just knows I'm thirsty for.

  9. Title.

I was gifted with a permanent hair kit last year and I bound it to my account. However, it doesn't stop you from getting the regular ones to drop, so between key farming, map completion and the odd key bought with irl money>gems, I've got nearly 90 Self-Style hair style kits. Deleting them seems like a waste though. Outside of this specific and very limited example, though, I'm sure that I also can't be alone between people who often open black lion chests in having a small fortune in revive orbs, repair canisters, Black Lion Salvage Kits, Upgrade Extractors, Mini Claim Tickets, and lounge passes that I'll almost certainly never use.

Let me trade them back for a couple of statuettes so I can work towards saving for stuff I actually want.
