  1. I actually don't play Thief! Weird to assume that someone is biased to ports just because of class and not because of it being a decently balanced mechanic. Also I'm fairly certain Smoke Assault can be used just up against that wall to skip going up the stairs. There's also Dagger Ambush on Untamed too! πŸ™‚ Ranger doesn't have many ports but has a plethora of mobility skills via GS 3, Bird Merged, Canine Merged, Superspeed access via Griffon Stance or Quickening Zephyr, etc etc. There are PLENTY of skills that give Ranger a mobility boost. Nice try at the jab though, love you.
  2. I still like the original ideas we debated WAY before the EC change about Bloody Roar activating on-Berserk traits to gain Quickness/Superspeed on burst. We also debated on Bloody Roar pulsing Resistance every 3s. Weakness/Blindness/Chilled/Immobilize/Slowness/Fear/Taunt immunity would be awesome. I've actually been wondering if they could give Beserk back its Taunt... Taunt is a mechanical MESS but it was amazing for Beserker for the brief time it existed. Entering Beserk Taunts nearby enemies for a brief duration Pulsing Resistance on a 3s interval Increased Strike Damage That would make the trait much more appealing in my opinion.
  3. If your ears ring, assuming you have audio on, or you see a big pink sword propelling through the air, it's probably time to dodge. If you hear a funny pistol pew sound, get ready to dodge, if you hear a character grunting with no one else around, you miiiiight want to dodge. Mesmer definitely is gimmicky, that's normal. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Most oneshots ARE gimmicky. It's like getting memed by D/P Bound DD using Impairing Daggers. The idea of bursting means doing a lot of damage or a lot of something at once. A burst of conditions, like a Carrion Axe Mirage. A Condi Herald swapping to Mallyx mid Mace 3, etc etc. Reaper DOES have counters. It's a strong spec though. Which is AWESOME. More specs should be like that. Like Willbender, it can't swap anything on its bar right now. A lack of versatility, in my eyes, is a sign of poor balance. Reaper is NOT limited. Don't get that twisted. It has counters, it has ways to swap to handle those counters, but it isn't a flat out dominating spec. It can use "You are all Weaklings!" to AoE Weakness in team fights to handle issues with Power match ups. "Suffer!" to transfer conditions and have additional chill sources. "Nothing can save you!" to have unblockables against supports with aegis and projectile hate. Well of Darkness to contest nodes in maps were the node is smaller and somewhat contained. Well of Corruption to corrupt boons, such as stability. Spectral Armor to have some protection. Spectral Ring to zone the node and give allies protection/Chaos Aura. Flesh Wurm where maps won't bully your port spots. etc etc. Point is, Reaper has options right now. Specifically as a team fighter/condi spec. Reaper doing what it doe right now is completely fair and does a great job at keeping certain things out of the match. It's not busted, it's not weak, it's just versatile.
  4. It could become a trait to replace Woven Stride. Causes all attunement swaps to grant Swiftness, Unravel becomes your F5 mechanic. It has all the original effects of Stance Unravel, but we replace Unravel as a Stance itself for a new stance entirely. It would still grant boons based on current attunement, reset the GCD for swapping to next attunement, and also has ammo.
  5. Ah, makes sense. Kinda lame that they don't allow the two to be taken together. Could be cool to have Latent Stamina in Water or something... But then I immediately think of Weaver with Vigor using Evasion Relic + GM Vigor on Dual Attack, etc etc. We'd end up with a silly Water Weaver meme again. At least Latent Stamina could be used when Staff Tempest was more common with all the auras Staff already had.
  6. What? No. It gives those who have spent time researching, and even practicing, spots that allow them to save time or get away. Like the port at the front of mid at Forest. You can port on the fencing and just get right up to mid. In the case of Mesmer, that's burning your stun break. On Thief that's burning your steal, swapping to Shortbow so you can't use D/P for 10s... etc etc. It provides advantages to those who know where to port and where to NOT port. Porting is a strong mechanic, having terrain that punishes it is very fair. Especially when they can also use that same mechanic to save time or get away from dicey situations.
  7. I'm curious what you think would make OWP strong then, it totally can still do its job, but it's not an instant win anymore with just WH 5 + OWP. You have to commit more CDs, similar to other specs that have oneshot potential.
  8. If you think Power Chrono/Mirage is a lot to deal with, at least raw damage wise... You'd love to see how a good FA Weaver cracks out damage too. FA Weaver is a reflex check if you can dodge Earthen Synergy or not. Chronomancer is basically the same deal except they'll probably burn CS to try to force you to burn more CDs. If they use Moa it means they can't CC you as much with GWell and generally have less of an AoE pressure presence. Mirage is more annoying with ambush combos, but tends to be better at specifically roaming. Chrono dies if you make them panic their distort, expect when they're gonna try to daze you, etc etc. Unless they're the more spooky Chronos like Cjay or Mattias in NA, they're a lot harder to trick.
  9. Honestly, the build I keep seeing, especially on metabattle, has me confused. Why are people building around overloads when you could just give yourself permanent evades with: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGgAgilZwyYNsFGJOSPnNfA-D6YXGRmA9WAOcKAAA Maybe I'm just having a disconnect on what makes Tempest 'decent' as a condi duelist meme, but I just can't help but notice a significantly more annoying version to go.
  10. The yearly grenades throwing while running forum post guys! To be fair, what else could Scrapper do instead while going full damage? List things that would easily compliment Scrapper's mobile playstyle- at least as damage/roamer.
  11. Only Bunker Druid might be problematic, but it's totally killable! Hard to decide on what would be nerfed though. I don't want it to be their Elite Glyph- it's so cute and pretty! πŸ₯Ί
  12. As much as I love the concept of Spellbreaker tapping into its 'Mesmery' roots. There are still issues that kind of force Spellbreaker into the 'Power only' lane. Attacker's Insight is already granting Power/Precision/Ferocity (quite literally Berserker stats). Its utility skills don't compliment the condition-based playstyle. I can see maybe Arms getting changes to compliment the Spellbreaker playstyle more and inflicting conditions that way. Condition and Torment absolutely could sink into Spellbreaker. Maybe even Bleeding.
  13. Yeah, I did mean this, I realize after I posted it I didn't update that. I meant specifically with the Total Makeover Kits or Hair-only equivalent. Also a fair point with the whole neon thing, I think my innocent mind was just focusing on variety of more mundane shades. Basically fine-tuning lol.
  14. Frankly, they need to make it more realistic. The firework itself should be doing devastating damage instead of increasing your damage. It should inflict burning, crippled, and blindness. HONESTLY. Sometimes, these devs don't know how to be realistic. 😀
  15. Let me summarize this thread for new readers: Treb can be okay sometimes. But it's so niche it's better to not use it most times.
  16. Is it just me, or do other people want their own unlocked dyes to affect things like their hair/accessories/etc? Not skin or fur (for charr). I don't know, I've seen this as something I've wanted to theorize about, it just sounds like a bump to increase the value of dyes too. Obviously it would expand the dye system quite a bit, probably require a UI revamp to categorize them, etc. There are plenty of other things, I'm sure, people want... But this is just something I could see being pretty nice.
  17. ✨ I AM THE TREBUCHET QUEEN! ✨ πŸ’– YOU CANNOT SLAY ME! πŸ’– She sends a devastating blow to the land approximately 5000 range. You can hear the agonized screams of those who dared not heed the call of, "TREBUCHET!" In much glee, she decreed, "I've done the deed," or so it seemed. For upon the land, there they stand, the enemies once again. Her allies close, they begin to post, "Get off the damned machine."
  18. Building on your Virtuoso comment: Make Infinite Forge the candidate for that idea with increasing resource count; reducing the baseline to 3. Turn Psychic Riposte into a counter-attack like trait. Perhaps strengthening your Bladesong, reducing the cool down of a specific one, plenty of ideas. Yes, don't make ALL our bladesongs unblockable, that's silly. Arguably I'd say make Bladesong Dissonance unblockable, a CC that pierces blocks would compliment Virtuoso well. I think Virtuoso gets too much flack for starting out as a Distortion/Aegis/Block-spamming spec; you can't really blame people for playing it how it rewards you to play it. I liked messing with it in the prospect of a reactive Mesmer spec instead of being the typical proactive Mesmer spec. As for your Mirage comment: I don't agree with making Infinite Horizon's baseline. At least not the Mirage Cloak sharing portion, I'd be absolutely fine with it causing your clones to ambush when you ambush, but not sharing your defensive mechanic. Most times they're cannon fodder anyway. Can we also finally make Speed of Sand give Mirage Swiftness or something... For a spec that has so much mobility potential, the fact it has to use Lynx Rune to even remotely catch up with other roamers is kind of silly. Could 2024 finally be the year we can drop Lynx Rune and catch up with other specs?
  19. Ah- ah... AHHH. Achoo. Sorry, the dust was making my allergies act up.
  20. It would be strong for everyone ngl. I want the equivalent of Durability Rune meta at the beginning of HoT πŸ’€
  21. List of annoying specs: Guardian Dragonhunter Firebrand Willbender Warrior Berserker Spellbreaker Bladesworn Revenant Herald Renegade Vindicator Ranger Druid Soulbeast Untamed Engineer Scrapper Holosmith Mechanist Thief Daredevil Deadeye Specter Elementalist Tempest Weaver Catalyst Mesmer Chronomancer Mirage Virtuoso Necromancer Reaper Scourge Harbinger Could you please fix this for me Anet? 😊
  22. Just to expand on the list of things that can counter DE: Carrion Axe Mirage or just Power Block in general Holosmith (with Lock On and good LoS spots) FA Weaver (A good Earthern Synergy burst + immob from Arcane Blast) LR Weaver (Mudslide do be bangin their DS) uhhh... Yeah.
  23. 15 -> 10s and put it on Heal Skill instead of Elite. :3c
  24. I know at one point invulnerability was intentionally removed from downstate. I just can't remember the year or patch date of when it happened. It was the same patch that also allowed conditions from downstate to carry over to when you were revived.
