  1. Thank you for the responses, Let me clarify some things... I never said "fun" and I never said Moogooloo had large guilds (it did not have large guilds and the scores were actually close). I was simply giving positive feedback so please do not abuse the forums and put words in my mouth. Many responses actually prove my point that this is a very positive direction for WvW, despite the backlash. World vs. World is a competitive game mode so if upset about your player performance, maybe look at that? I run pick-up groups plenty of times and they do fine. I want to thank the developers like Cal and Roy for supporting these changes. If you can lock this channel down that would be cool. Respectfully, Ghost
  2. I know some folks are going to disagree with me here, but the latest beta was a major improvement to the WvW experience. During the last beta I've been able to play in an environment which is not controlled by universalizing guilds with ~2500 members filling up the server (I'm looking at you Dragonbrand). It was a really nice change not to be dominated by the politics of guild numbers on the server making demands on the premise they "own" the server, have x million members, and nobody can tag up without their approval. Moogooloo had an overwhelmingly positive and productive chat in-game with very little toxicity. Most folks were sad to see the beta end, and not because of the bonus. Moogooloo was a ragtag group of guilds coming together and we collectively shut the enemy down (check the scores). It was absolutely hilarious to wipe a large guild from Dragonbrand over and over until they just ran even though our numbers were far smaller. In the antiquated system, which has existed in WvW, quantity of guild members dominates the quality of players in that server. This beta proves that quality and skill level supersedes quantity. The beta has also eliminated the behind-the-scenes politics governing who is allowed to tag and how to throw the matches to manipulate tiers. I'm a guild founder, and I'd like to play with my members, but it's really hard when the server is full due to 2k+ people from another guild joining my server and filling it up. I think most of the negative feedback about the beta is coming from those who want to keep the current system in place so multiple guilds, which they control, can be in the same server and that is unfair to the greater community, whether on the same team or not. I believe GW2 is about community building and inclusiveness; even in competitive game play. I personally feel this last beta was a step in giving freedom back to the individual player to enjoy WvW by selecting who they want to ally with. Again, I truly think the direction of the World Restructuring is in the right place and hope to see it finalized soon after the next beta. Best, Ghost
  3. As OP said, crashes on win at 500 before the podiums. This has been happening since the last patch and not before it. It is likely happening more often than what this forum presents based on map chat in the lobby. I'd say the chance of a crash for me is roughly 40% per win based on 2 crashes in 5 wins today and about the same yesterday. The maps crashed today were Temple of the Silent Storm and Skyhammer. I will also note the crashes seem specific to PvP as I've had no issue outside of it. I've been running dx11 long before this last patch consistently with no issue except during the first beta. I don't think it's an issue with newer GPUs either as I am running 2x EVGA GeForce 1080 Ti FTW3s 11GB on an SLI bridge and never had problems.
  4. Greetings fellow Tyrians, ArenaNet, you've done amazing on this last patch! Keep it up! However, I think it would be a very bad decision to remove the Public version of Twisted Marionette. The content is great but folks are still learning it. Take away the Bonus Event, fine. Keep it on a timer, fine. But let's elaborate on the potential consequences of only making it private... Making a major event private introduces an elitist aspect to the game which has happened with other MMORPGs which ostracized players and many went to GW2 for that very reason . If the other player isn't in a community running it then they can't do that event. GW2 has always been about inclusiveness and I think we need to keep that up. From a business standpoint it also does not make sense to make this event private only. We have an expansion,, Steam release, and DX11 to look forward to. There will be an influx of new and returning players. Those players will want to do events but if they are locked out because it is private they might get turned off of the game :( Stay strong ArenaNet, I know you have been through a lot! Best, "Ghost" (Altair.4639), Leader- Ascalon Commanders of Eternity [ACE]
  5. Decorating/scribe is expensive and very time-consuming, not to mention you pretty much need a dedicated toon for it. That said, it is EXTREMELY disappointing when you plan out and scribe the items for something like an ice castle and then get told "too many decorations in this area." I was trying to surprise our guildies with an ice castle in the hall today, but I suppose they'll be getting a Charlie Brown tree-sized thing instead.
