  1. Me and my sister are both in team Skrittsburgh, we both joined red borderland, but we were on different map instances and under "B" we had different "old" server names Edit: after we left the map, we now see the same server names
  2. For my Sylvari I also prefer Gaelic words as names as well. This seems to be quite popular and I needed a few tries to name my Sylvari Mirage with a Gaelic name that translates to something like "mirror" or "mirror image". I tried it with the Scottish and Irish version and needed to change the accents to get a name (Scáthan) that was not taken.
  3. To find the right colors is kind of difficult. With low shaders my skyscale is red/black/white and looks really good. With high shaders I've found no way to use red/black/white. I just get a pink hue and no real black. So many colors look completely different with high shaders, either with pink or green shimmering that doesn't look like the intended color. For me it's not a problem as I play with low shaders, but probably other people think that I've dyed my skyscale absolutely terrible :)
  4. I think that with adding an easy mode anet can only loose. A way to implement it that most people would be satisfied is probably very hard. If they add easy mode without the collection-parts for envoy armor and maybe just one legendary insight for a complete wing, it would be wasted ressources that could have been invested somewhere else. If there are not really good rewards hardly anyone would play it regularly. Maybe some to see it once like a story instance and maybe a few for practice. As it would neither offer enough rewards nor a challenge and it wouldn't offer a unique experience to be played regularly just for fun (as similar content with better rewards already exists) I personally think that it would be dead content (I could be wrong here, but I just don't see how it could be successful). And this thread would still be going on in circles as some will still ask for envoy armor in easy mode raids. If the add an easy mode with the possibility to get envoy armor, there would be the next 50+ pages thread of people complaining that anet trivialized the effort they have put into raids. And this thread would be probably much more heated than this one. There could also be other threads like people wanting a compensation for the mystic coins they paid raid sellers, or threads that anet is creating a precedent and will trivialize other stuff as well and all the time and gold people invested would be lost for nothing, and people specualting if we can soon get a unlock of all skins in gemstore for 15.000 gems...I don't know what the reactions will look like, but if you read the forum and how it is going nuts from time to time, I think it could get really bad for anet. It probably would be better to just add more legendary stuff in open world pve like Aurora, where for example a piece of armor (not envoy skin) can be acquired with a similar method like Aurora.
  5. If I want Warbringer, I've to play wvwIf I want The Ascension, I've to play pvpIf I want Aurora, I've to do all the achievements in open world pveIf I want Envoy Armor, I've to do raids Every game mode has unique skins/auras. If you want it, you have to play the content. In my opinion it would be boring if I could get the fractal back or aurora in wvw as well. If you can get every skin in every game mode, no skin would feel special for the players, it would be like the everyday skins you get as a drop. So if you now say, let's keep Envoy Armor as raid reward then, just make an easy mode, this wouldn't be a raid anymore. It would not be different from a dungeon/Fractal (and those have unique rewards as well). Why should anet invest resources into something we already have? What separates Raids from other instanced content? In my opinion it is the difficulty + beeing for 10 players. If you take away the difficulty, it would be a 10-man dungeon/fractal and therefore should have dungeon/fractal rewards and not raid rewards. And again, you have easy mode raids like Escort, Cairn or MO and hard mode raids like Xera and Dhuum (+CMs). Easy and hard mode already exists! The only thing that could be improved is to add a legendary armor to open world pve as well. Not with envoy skin or a similar animated skin (as arena said it took to much time to develop), but with tiers like in wvw, where the last (legendary) tier has maybe an aura or foot-steps or something added like the wvw chest (they also could make the legendary skins of wvw and pvp armor at least a bit different from the precursor as well, so that it is really similar to a possible pve open world one).Maybe we could close this thread and make a new one about possible ways to add more legendary stuff in open world pve (or in other game modes as well)?Be it with living story episodes (one armor piece with each episode), the next expansion or whatever. It just shouldn't be to easy to get (be it time gated, gold gated or skill gated, feel free to discuss)(PS: with "skill-gated" I mean soloable content that isn't hard like a raid, maybe something like some of the harder story achievements)
  6. There is no personal ranking in wvw regarding skill, only play hours. If there are 9 worlds, each with a big alliance and there are several players that "tanked" their rating/play hours, these players will just be spread between the worlds. You would have no guarantee to end up with the "good alliances".Maybe big alliances find ways to game the system, e.g. a whole alliance tanking their play hours to get more additional players or even a second alliance and then they could dominate the match up. They would just have a boring match as no one would want to fight them. As we don't know the details of the system we don't know if this even would be possible.
  7. Maybe this helps: I've done this achievement together with my sister (there was no one else there) on the first try. At the last small golems my sister lost track of the right one but I was quite sure which one it was. So if you bring one or two friends you can watch the golems together. If one of you can't follow one of them, there are one or two other people who might be able to identify the right golem and you can decide together which is the correct one and so reduce the risk of being wrong.
