  1. Yeah I did notice that, but this is not it. I also noticed that in the DDR level, dialogue would sometimes mute to let the sound of the color play. It's like, I would stand completely still, but one random dialogue (never the player's character) will just not play. The silence is really jarring, like listening to one side of a phone call.
  2. Can't I expect CS to know about certain bugs in the story mode, given how it's been more than a year since EoD launched? Can't CS tell me it's a bug, instead of trying to "fix" my PC with this tech support: Press and hold the Windows key and then hit the R key. This should bring up the Run dialog box. Type ""MSCONFIG"" without the quotes, and click ""OK."" This should open the System Configuration Utility. Click on the ""Services"" tab and check the ""Hide All Microsoft Services"" check box near the bottom, then click the ""Disable All"" button. (You MUST click ""Hide all Microsoft Services"")\ Which confused the hell out of me when I couldn't launch any programs afterwards (nothing about reversing the action, which is something they SHOULD have told me, instead of me needing to figure it out alone). This is also what CS told me.
  3. Since contacting Anet Support is useless and was told to post my issues in the forum, here I am. Dialogue in Story sometimes goes mute. I'll see the text in chatbox, but I won't hear a thing. This isn't for all dialogue. It's for maybe 1 line every so often that just breaks immersion. Also, I dislike this trend of "post in forum for help". What is the point of support tickets?
  4. Or you could ask Anet to fix the spots that are being exploited (not hacking). I didn't need to reveal hidden contents to know most of what you were talking about was occurring in the borderlands. At this point, I thought everyone knew the Warclaw trick. Then again, it has been years since Warclaw was released and that exploit still isn't fixed. So I doubt any change you would like would ever happen. Sad.
  5. Yes, I'm not arguing with you. Arguing requires effort, and judging by your previous comments, any effort would be a total waste. We're all telling you that your "solution" misses the point of WvW, which really hasn't changed since launch. Both mechanically and design-wise. But sure, everyone else has the wrong opinion and only yours is the right one. Because, as you said, "Truth is often in the hands of the few" Again, not by you.
  6. I always wondered what possesses someone to think whatever they say is correct, despite the numerous replies in objection.
  7. If your current team is 3 people, and those 3 people play Cele Reaper, Cele Core Guard, and Cele Renegade, the only thing you should change is Core Guard --> Firebrand. People are saying "Swap to scrapper for support/stealth", but in reality, swapping to Scrapper should be a decision you make after roaming with your current comp for a while. Your current 3 roles play significant roles in teamfighting, and swapping one of those characters for Scrapper changes the dynamic of what you can and can't do based on class specialization. The only thing I'd recommend is finding 2 more players to round your party to 5 and build teamcomps from there.
  8. mm okay but i do remembe nike warrior. horizontally, sure it was a fast class and a lot of WvW maps are big and flat. But vertically the class has no movement, so it's hard to compare it to DD (or thief's SB in general). But in general, I do agree with your sentiment that not everything in the past was great, just nostalgia filter. Yeah the game's been so far removed from the stability changes. The change was closer to GW2 release than it is to today.
  9. Come on now. The game now is much faster and different from before. In large part due to the expansions. The biggest change on your list imo would be the Stability changes. Probably still debatable if this change should've been implemented. But it's been a long time since the change that I can't remember the difference. Also, weren't the stability changes during HoT?
  10. But you still haven't answer the main question, which was "Why do Germans not use %?" ngl I really want to know about this.
  11. After seeing countless whispers and mails of people accusing others of hacking after getting stomped, the cheating claim of the OP is a headscratcher. Reading the thread, ya'll are way too kind for actually responding to OP's claim about cheats.
  12. No other classes can "spam" though. Other classes can cast AoE skills behind them, but they cannot spam them. I really cannot think of a class that can off the top of my head.
  13. Wasn't Deadeye a community brainstormed specialization that Anet brought to life? I remember everyone going "Ghillie sniper would be so cool!" before PoF.
  14. If core engi can use cele then expacs can as well. cele holo is viable too.
  15. 1vXing usually comes down to personal skill, so it's hard to comment which is best for that. That said, 1v1 Herald is better. Firebrand doesn't really shine in solo; you start to see why Cele FB is good when you start adding members to your party.
  16. In my experience from playing and fighting, I would rank Cele builds like this: Weaver Scrapper Firebrand Renegade Tempest Soulbeast Reaper Core Engi Herald Mirage It's not a strict list of "A > B", but a top 10 of Celestial stats users, and how well they perform in small-scale WvW setting. Imo I think after Mirage, using Celestial isn't 100% efficient, and I could argue that even Heralds don't use Celestial all that well either after the Torment changes.
  17. I like the idea of a separate 2v2 / 3v3 queue, and we could swap it with Stronghold. Might be better to have 2v2 / 3v3 as a permanent mode instead of Stronghold, because that map was dead even when the PvP base was adequate. Who queues ranked Stronghold? Not even sure if you can, but I bet people would love to queue ranked 2v2 / 3v3 often. And having Stronghold fill in as a placeholder between seasons would bring some variety.
  18. Just an event that adds variety to WvW, which can be stale. Next reset is back to normal. Can't believe 1 week can cause so many threads to be made. How many No-Downed-State events are there a year? Really overblown reactions imo. Don't forget the WvW bonuses can attract more players, since it makes getting GoB faster. Probably more PvE players playing during the event for the rewards.
  19. If you're running Radiance, it should be even less of a problem because you see the cooldown timer by recasting it. And recasting shouldn't be an issue because you're running Radiance. Now I don't know where I stand because adding a feature to show the CD on the pull wouldn't change anything, so adding it should be fine.
  20. The problems with Celestial Warrior are the weapons and access to Might and Burning (two things Cele builds need to be competitive). On weapons: With the exception of Sword, the rest of core warrior's weapons focus on doing one aspect of the game (aka power, condi, utility). Celestial builds want to be able to do both power and condi damage at the same time, or else you're simply wasting stats by not specializing in a specific damage type. So sword must be perfect, right? Wrong, because bleeding isn't worth going Celestial, as the minimal condition power will feel negligible when bleeding is your only condition. So that means we got to get burning, the only other condition that Warriors have access to. Unfortunately for Core Warriors, their sole access to burning is via Longbow, and let me tell you how bad Longbow is. Longbow AA chain takes 3/4 seconds. That alone should tell you how bad it feels to play with Longbow. But that's not all, 3/5 of Longbow skills take 3/4 seconds to cast, and we can push that number to 4/6 if we include Longbow burst. And of those 6 skills, only 2 provide burning at base level; you need to take Crackshot over Warrior's Sprint if you want burning on your AA. You might say, "Oh, burning on AA? That sounds great, what's wrong?" What's wrong is the fact that the AA chain takes 3/4 seconds to cast, and it is a slow moving projectile. So 3/4 seconds to even release the arrows, and a moment for the arrow to travel. Coupled with the fact that, even in full Cele, the burning only lasts 1.5 seconds, you will not be able to refresh your burning stacks quick enough. Basically, you will never get above 2 stacks of burning by only using LB AA. Let's talk about Longbow burst, because this skill has me fuming. It takes 3/4 seconds to cast, and even longer for the actual projectile to land. I kid you not, you could fire it at a person, and before the skill even lands, that person can walk away from the AoE. I mean it. You don't have to have swiftness, don't need to dodge, just walk away, and it won't land. Let's not forget that the payoff for landing it is 4 stacks of burning, that refreshes every 3 seconds. Wow, what a great skill. On might: For Cele builds to work, you need Might. Lots of might. And for Warriors, the best traitline for might generation is Strength. Unfortunately, there's not much in Strength besides power, so you're taking Strength because you need might, but not utilizing the traitline to its full potential. Sure, you can go Cele Greatsword, but at that point, why not just go full power? I haven't tried Berserker, but I have tried iterations of core using different traitlines as well as Spellbreaker. What I've found was that I could barely maintain 6-7 stacks of burning on a sentry, much less a player. The best way to set up was to utilize immobilizes, but in the current WvW meta with immob spam and cleanses, Warrior just falls short.
  21. Yeah we've already had this discussion, and the community voted in favor of duo queue.
