    Parts of GW2 community are very nice, I cannot deny that. But playing multiple MMOs in the past, I'd still consider FF XIV community to be the most wholesome and welcoming to new players.

    I guess AR is a way to slow down new players a bit. U know to prevent someone jumping into t4 fractals having 0 experience. But you can also buy infusions from TP, which means that any1 who want to bump up their AR without doing fractals can do that. It's a crazy weird system...

    Tbh, on the communication alone, Anet dropped the ball hard. They could have hyped it up a bit before dropping 5? 4? articles on us and calling it a day. Imo, we didn't have too see all of that now. Or maybe give us a week to process the news before throwing pre-purchase our way? I think nobody expected any news about the "expansion" now.

    Until people figure out what's the optimal set-up and most of the meta builds make it preferred to use a specific combo (having the mastery unlocked).

    Why do we assume that Anet staff would monitor discord more closely? At least the forum is structured in a way that makes it easy to find anything you need.

    They are not done with gw2 and you're talking about gw3 already xD Also I don't think they will give ppl a ton of races to play as if gw3 happens.

    Tbh, when I first saw the 100 AB metas chiev, I thought it will be insanely hard to do. It's not. HoT metas are also very well timed, so it's really easy to chain them together without a need to spend a lot of time on simply waiting or doing some minor events. Despite those facts, they are still pretty rewarding for the time spent on the maps. Open World isn't the most exciting thing in the game in general.

    I was more bothered by food randomly transmuting into ramen when eaten.
