There are people out there like me who only bother with WvW or PvP, because most dailies all but require it. I dislike the fact that you have to be running around with a bigger group to accomplish almost anything. Land claimer and taking out yaks are about the only achievements that are soloable for most people...but they've been impossible since this fiasco of a beta started.

I had my guild selected well before reset, but for some reason I got sent onto an entirely different team than the rest of my guild did. It has sort of ruined the entire purpose of being in a WvW guild for me. They'll likely now kick me from the guild because of it. thanks Anet...

Yes, the snowglobe is exactly what I can never seem to get. I'd be happy just getting through it once so I can finish winter's presence. I don't know anyone else RL who plays the game that could log in for me. I'm on a NA server. Without mesmer help, it's likely never going to happen. I'm fighting cancer at the present time and purchasing new equipment is out of reach for me. My computer is already 8 years old and I'm lucky it still runs this game to start with.

Can anyone suggest a workaround for the wintersday jumping puzzle? I am a player with limited mobility (only one usable hand) Anet doesn't keep players like myself in mind when they design achievements in the game that require manual dexterity. Usually, I need mesmer help for parts of the game that require jumping, and thankfully lots of people are understanding and willing to lend a hand. This is the 4th year in a row I've been trying to make it through the jumping puzzle without luck. Jumping puzzles are already extremely difficult for me, but putting them on a timer makes it impossible. I've had the rest of the winter's presence requirements out of the way for years now, but not being able to complete the jumping puzzle to get the piece of the achievement means I'll likely never get it. I can't be the only person in this situation, and I wish there was some sort of alternative. I usually have a lot of fun in-game....but things like these make festivals not so fun for me.

some people on windows have had success, but it appears Mac users are out of luck. Nothing anyone has suggested has worked for me. All my characters that aren't on base game maps are lost to me right now.

So far I'm not crashing every 10 seconds, but still can't download the game past 35%. I guess I will never be able to play anything but the base game until ANet fixes the download. :'(

There are no words to say how frustrated I am right now. I'm also on a Mac and haven't been able to get in any decent play in about a month now. My iMac is pretty top of the line and runs every other game I play like a top with no problems. Even trying to do a clean reinstall, the launcher can't download the game past 35%, even with the new build. (It's completely frozen with 259k files to go and won't budge). I can't even use my main character because she is on a LW4 map that won't load at all, so I can't retrieve her even to do base game stuff on.

This is beyond frustrating. I even tried to clean reinstall once the new build was out, but it's still the same ridiculous issue. There are so many problems with the Mac client lately, it's no wonder Mac users are feeling slighted. None of the workarounds people are coming up with seem to work for us.

Yes it's been weeks and the download is still stuck at 35%. I can't do much of anything. I can't even go to HoT or PoF areas without the maps just failing to load entirely. I'm also on a Mac, and have no idea what is taking so long, even if they create an alternate place to download the Mac version from until they figure out the issue it would be better than doing nothing at all.

Thanks but it wouldn't do much good for me, I'm on a mac...and those instructions are for windows.

Still no response from anet about my ticket today. This is getting to be beyond annoying.

I've started writing down the numbers, and the download always seems to stall out completely right in the same spot. (with 258k files left to go) Whatever is in that particular area of the download might be where the glitch is.

I've tried that several times....no more response since the 23rd.

It's the 29th and I haven't been able to get an e-mail back from anyone at all since the 23rd. I haven't been able to play the game at all in almost 2 weeks. You'd think they'd want to get it working faster than this. I've been playing for 3 years and have had more trouble in the last couple of weeks than I have in all the rest of that time.

I have e-mailed them with no response at all since the 23rd. It's like they've given up trying to help me at all.

I gave up and tried reinstalling after the game went completely non-functional. Unfortunately, I am now one of those people that can't get the download past 35% trying to reinstall. The workarounds people have posted so far will only work for windows, so won't do a Mac user like me a whole lot of good.

I've sent in reports and done everything support (who regardless how many people have this same issue) seems convinced it has to be a system issue on my end. I've even tried a clean reinstall of the game but the Mac 64 Download won't install at all now either. The download locks up at 35% and won't proceed any further. I know it isn't a connection issue on my end, because I'm not having problems doing anything else. All my other games not to mention streaming are working fine. I even did a speed test on my connection and that isn't the problem here. I'm about ready give up trying.

From the e-mails I'm getting it seems they are convinced it has to be a hardware problem on my end...even with tons of other people having the same issue, after the same update. I finally gave up and tried doing a clean reinstall and now I can't even download the game without the installer locking up at about 35%. They seriously need to get their crap together. I'm one of the people having the Mac crashing issue. I finally gave up and wanted to try just reinstalling, but the install stalls out at about 35% and won't go any further on the Mac 64 bit client.

I'm having the same issue on 10.15.2 and haven't been able to play at all since the Wintersday update. They don't seem to have updated the game itself in ages, considering the most recent OS listed for selection in the support ticket dropdown menu is 10.10 :#
