  1. Yep, launcher does nothing. Stays on the initial message (even before the log in prompt) saying it's downloading "0 Ko (0 Ko/sec)". Must be a server down somewhere, good luck to those who'll have to fix this! EDIT: located in Europe. dk if it's usefull info.
  2. A Strange Diet: - It seems like it's the Goliath Grouper (legendary fish from Maguuma) that is eaten by the turtle but not taken into account in the achievement.
  3. 2 problems when I'm on DX11 beta: - The text's black contourning disapear, making it impossible to read in some circumstances (when multiple texts are superimposed or when the background has the same color as the text). The problem is present regardless of the graphics settings. - The data displayed during the loading screens (when the game is launched with the -mapLoadInfo option), is unreadable due to the fact that the characters are replaced by some kind of colorful squares. 4. Wait, you have the text contouring while using the beta DX11? For me it disapear whenever I activate DX11. So... That a bug, not a feature! Therefore, I'm going to close that topic and add my problem on top of the 17 pages long pile of the pined topic "DirectX 11 beta graphics issues". Yey... Well, thank you.
  5. I'm not sure if it has its place here, because it's not a bug, rather a change that degrades the player's experience. But honnestly, I don't know where to post those kinds of issues: Sadly, I couldn't find any "accessibility" category here or on GW2 support page... but that's a whole other topic to discuss. Anyway, let's get to the point: The DX11 is very pretty and all, but it removes the text's black contour. While in most of the UI it's rather better looking than with the previous DX, it becomes very hard to read texts in some cases: - Most obvious: if you have a lot of objects (/ players / npc / enemies / whatever) near each others, the combined texts above them become an indistinguishable mass of unreadable characters. - Then you have the background colors (green grass, redish lava, etc) of the text that can sometimes makes reading them pretty difficult. And let me tell you that for some colorblind people among us, that's even worse than what you can imagine. (And before you kindly suggest me some tools: yes, I already tweaked my pc to compensate as much as possible my colorblindness when I'm playing games). So, please, could you give us an option, some checkbox in the graphics options maybe, that would allow us to restaure that dear black contour around texts? Thank you in advance.
  6. I see various ideas, here, about having a physical library somewhere in the game. That would be cool, of course, but I would be ok with something as simple as a dedicated tab in my bank (like we have a dedicated tab showing all the skins we've unlocked).
  7. I can't trash books, even when they are not real. They are my precious! :'D
  8. Maybe you're like me. Maybe you have like 40 different books of lore in the game, that you got thanks to collections and such, spread between characters' inventories and your bank. You don't want to get rid of them, but they a lot of space. Wouldn't it be cool if we had some kind library, like we have a wardrobe storage or miniature collection? What do you think of it, would you want A.Net to add this little feature to the game?
  9. For me it crashes every time on the 2nd part of the tresure hunt, it even crashed during the (re)loading of the map after a previous crash. But I also got the crash during the only time I participated in the skimmer race event. Would be nice to have a word from A.Net, even just a "ok, we heard you, we're looking into it"...
  10. Same here. We experience the very same problem, on two differents instances of the map. And we kept trying the event, and each time we had this fail. We even try to instat kill the mobs (killing them within seconds) but it failed the very moment we killed the last one of them.
  11. And I'm here, still waiting for a giant Wintersday Tree, and a Wintersday theme song for the Guild Hall since ages ago... :D
  12. A few ideas on this topic:Maybe not give all power to the party creator, but give his vote more influence. Like, his vote worth 2 or 3 normal votes. And for the rest, I think it's more the LFG that should be upgraded. The possibility to put a level requirement to join (for people who believe it really means something :D) or an AP requirement. Same with AR: so people with like 10 AR won't join tier 3 fractal groups. Lacking a bit of AR is no big deal, but some players really take this too far and keep on dying for nothing.Adding a cutscene auto-skip that is applied to all players in the party, would be usefull, too. And of course, make those options visible in the LFG. So, if you join a party that skips cutscenes, you know it before joining (I'm thinking of new players who probably would like to discover the cutscenes).
