  1. I think make the map less terrible would boost the numbers, on top of offering a rare infusion. Would you bore yourself to death for 1 full hour to have 0.00001% to get an infusion? I've just done the meta once and I don't want to do it more already. These 6 steps going deep and back up to the surface doing sloooow uninteresting jade collections is just so boring and uninspired. Doing the same (boring) thing so many times back to back is terrible design. While making sense for story sake, I just don't understand how game designers could come up with such a thing. It's just absolutely obvious it won't be a good experience. Even last boss is boring, charging batteries most of the time and going phase to phase doing the same thing with 0 danger. I think the map must just be resigned. Simple fixes could make it good. Less long, different things to do at each level, redesign of the final boss.
  2. As cool as it can sound, I think that'd be a terrible idea and a nightmare to balance an already questionably balanced game.
  3. Just throwing this here, but what if we had the "social awkwardness" instability from fractals on in WvW? People wouldn't be able to stack so much and would share less boons overall? Maybe it would encourage the use of more medium-sized groups on more parts of the map instead of a huge zerg? I'd like to see it tested during a WvW event.
  4. Let's face it. New expansions are just a rebranded LW with functional features on top (ex: weapon mastery). Now, unfinished, I don't think so. Even WoW makes unfinished expansions then. It's fragmented expansions, one big release and major update patches. Exactly like WoW. Now the questions lies in the amount of content we get with each patch, which might be lesser than WoW on this one, but remember Anet's team and budget is just a tiny amount of Blizzard's. Also, WoW players pay a monthly sub to get this, on top of the cashshop. All in all, I really don't think we lose anything compared to WoW, I still prefer GW2 way more. This feeling of worthiness will differ from people to people, I guess.
  5. Let's hope Nayos will be just that. It has potential and feels creepy the first time you arrive there and you're chased by Cetus. I'm hoping they'll keep a darker and oppressive vibe.
  6. The point is having fun? Discovering new zones, new events, new stories, getting new armour sets, new items? What was the point playing PoF then? I mean, you play a MMORPG.
  7. 1) I agree activities in this daily / weekly should bring more diversity in things to do. Maybe list some bigger longer ones (metas and such) which would count double for example (as JP for past Skritt burglar event). I'd like to go back more to some maps, including LW maps. 2) I didn't even know that since I own SotO. But I agree it doesn't make much sense.
  8. Skyscale made all the other mounts kind of obsolete, but not completely useless excepted for the springer. - Raptor is faster on flat terrain. - Springer is totally useless now. - Skimmer is the only submarine mount and faster on water. - Jackal has always been kind of useless. - Griffin is faster when up high. - Rollerbeatle is faster on proper terrain. - Turtle is for the lol and multiplayer. - Warclaw is for WvW. As you see, most other mounts only bring a speed bonus under specific conditions, but no added functionality. Skyscale is by far the most versatile.
  9. Poor you, you're gonna miss one daily because you don't want to spend 10 min in an activity. This system is really the problem, yeah. Terrible system . . .
  10. They could simply replace castles, towers and forts's bosses by Mad king's maze bosses and add some pumpkins and spider webs all over the walls.
  11. I followed the game's history, so I know it exists, but I haven't really bothered trying it once or found any portal to the event in the game. So people who also took a break at this period of time and didn't necessarily follow the game might not even know it exists. Also, rewards must be there if it wants some play. A few raw gold, a unique infusion and some rare ascended drops would probably do the trick. I see people swarm events dropping unique very rare infusions all the time. Now Anet just has to care about it enough to do something.
  12. Some people will say they don't want to feel pressured and forced to do things by fear to miss out on items, and others complain there isn't enough to get when you do every single daily/weekly... Also, 2g for old dailies, you can now get much more with the endless 1g bag. This topic is absurd and only to whine.
  13. I really enjoy it personally, even though it feels a bit bare bones for now. New daily is great, I don't understand how people can like the old one better. Always was an unrewarding chore to me. Like play a PvP match and hope to get all 3 in a single match, if not, go for another easy and quick one, and log off to get 2g. For pve daily now, I have some also easy options, some kind of fun ones (I like jumping puzzles), and above all, they reward you so so much more!!! Skins, mats, gold, legendary boxes, mount skins. You get tons of gold of value, they're actually worth the time spent. Many are just obtained with normal gameplay too. Relic system is good too imo, but needs to be improved with more relics and ways to get them maybe. Just adds some diversity to gear options. I can now choose to always run faster without going celestial stats if I choose so. I enjoyed the story as well, characters were interesting to me, feels like something mysterious getting to Cerus's home. I didn't really start EoD story yet, but seeing Marjory and Kasmeer with their cringe relationship being at the center didn't motivate me at all. Maps are good to me too, with fun meta events, Amnytas is awesome for the griffon mount I had pretty much replaced by the skyscale until now. I can now work to get a pve legendary armour in the future with normal gameplay. I already see few people with the mage armour after only a few weeks after the expansion, so saying it's too grindy is absurd. You don't HAVE to get it in a few days... It was the same with ancient boreal weapons, LWS4 maps and so on... Now the thing I don't like is that the rift system is the only way to get some important mats. While I don't dislike the rifts themselves, I don't like running from one to another, but again, that's something that's been seen in other maps too, like champs train in Dragonfall. I hope it will get more diverse with next pieces of content we'll get. I had taken a long break from the game a bit before EoD until right before SotO, and I'm happy to have things to do and improved systems. Maybe some people should just do the same. Having breaks can be good. Edit: typos
  14. 100% agree. Leave us things to do and in various game modes so that we can experience more than our favourite one. It can be refreshing sometimes to play something we usually don't play much because we've been incentivized. Some people want to have everything with zero effort. Play a game where nothing is to unlock then. MMO should have fun grinds, give you a journey to get prestigious items imo!
  15. Well, I am... Maybe it would be nice to have more choices in the things to do, but so far, today's pve daily was very easy. Even made me do a mini dungeon I didn't know existed. And choice in rewards you get is awesome imo. Old system was not really rewarding to me, and sometimes tedious with the daily to complete. I don't know if I'm a weirdo or what, but I very much like this new daily system. I like relics too, except they don't seem to all work yet...
