  1. Seems to me that the aggro range increase was due to the fact we now got mounts and can zoom past everything. I still think mounts were a mistake, but anet makes bank selling skins for 25$ so it's not like we'll ever go back to how it once was.
  2. You're pretty delusional if you think this would ever be the norm. The sheer number of changes that would need to be made are ridiculous. Traits, skills and even class mechanics that are build around the core mechanic of the downed state.On top of that balance in general, as finishing a downed enemy off is often the only serious drawback for certain squishy glass cannon builds. Who have no right doing the damage they do if there was no downed state. To much work to please only a small portion of the community. Not going to happen.If they want to improve WvW all they have to do is remove the Warclaw mount
  3. Warclaw was a mistake. Thieves were the class that could run others down, with Warclaw that element is fundamentally shifting.
  4. Game was designed and balanced with downed state in mind seems like a pretty important argument. Otherwise we need to start pruning certain burst builds down significantly.Their balance is they may burst someone down quick but are vulnerable when trying to finish someone of, if that drawback is taken away certain builds have no right to do the damage they do.
  5. Never wanted the hobo sacks gone. Just wanted anet to give people an option, a simple toggle where you choose if bundled can overwrite the visuals of your equipped backslot.
  6. Anet has over the years made some big mistakes to the detrimant of the game while abandoning certain important core aspects or features that made gw2 great.
  7. Also as can be seen like 95% of the WvW playerbase has mounts now, most veterans had PoF and those who have been away longer... Well maybe they should just buy PoF. Yeah and that was also bad, but nothing is as bad as mounts. It is the most important thing you can get in WvW right now. For those who have it it just normalizes builds. People used to think about traits, runes, utility skills and even weaponsets with regards to their mobility. Maps effectively become smaller and it's just another buff to face rubbing gates down. Those who don't have it, not having a mount is a nightmare. You can't go anywhere alone because people with mounts will run you down easily. Even over great distance. Can't catch anyone that decides to run away yourself, they just mount up and off they go the moment they break combat for a fraction of a second. Can't keep up with your zerg so you arrive late everywhere and as a straggler are prone to get picked off. It's a terrible addition. That they wasted all this effort to make something so few people wanted and many people hate is just a tragedy. It was bad with the desert borderland, worse with the seperate buffs, terrible with the gliding, but this is just beyond all that. Of all the ways they damaged WvW, this is the worst.
  8. I take a break, come back and my biggest fear of mounts in wvw is a thing. Great, as if these stupid gimmicks haven't done enough lasting damage to wvw but this one takes the cake. Screw new and returning players in the process and lock this, the now single most important wvw mastery, behind an xpac paywall. Great job trying to get veterans to return to your game anet.
  9. No thanks. Lets instead do a No Stealth week or a No Weapon Swap week. You know, mix it up, strip out some other core mechanics for a change.
  10. Mastery points are just silly gates. Either they are incredibly easy to do, or you aren't suppose to do them yet. With Teleport to Friend and Portals a bunch can be bypassed, but it still means someone had the required tool and for them it is a trivial matter.
