I believe the problem might just be tied to elevation as it appears to be fine on flat surfaces.

Hello,I've noticed several times in WvW now that when I start finishing a downed enemy, use shadowstep then use shadow return before the animation is over, the enemy doesn't get killed. It used to work just fine a few weeks back. Please investigate and fix.
