Especially when I play the first time, I will go slower through the story and interact with all that can be (like talking with each NPC) as many times those will also be achievements. Second time through, I'll probably double check what achievements are for that part of the story and try to attempt those, but skipping happens more at that point since I don't need to listen to each NPC again. Unless it is down the line and has been a while, then might go through those. But yes, sometimes I won't read what NPCs say if I have my character chat with them and just try to get to the point of merchant or possible achievement, or unlocking achievement quest.

Like when reset happens you don't get the log in for in the wizard's vault daily until you change maps or log back in? I know I get mail delivery for the black lion requisition but if I'm in game at reset I need to switch maps for it to send the mail. I don't think that is a bug though and it did that before the Wizard's Vault was in the game.

Having this issue as well. I know the Wiki says it has a bug with the event, but it really needs to be fixed considering it is preventing players from continuing the story. Thankfully I've done this in the past before it bugged or maybe I just lucked out, but I was redoing story for achievements and return content.

I finished talking with my new friends and was about to leave the Beacon Command Center for the next story part, but I noticed Zojja is with my new friends and then also over in her other spot. The story part I'm on is 5. The Missing Facet. Just strange to have a character appear twice in the same area at the same time.

According to the Wiki, this is accurate. It says no story or expansion is required to enter this mission (for the strike).

Wiki is great, though currently it isn't perfect as they were having some bugs. So if something doesn't show up when you follow the note above on linking something in chat, that might be why. You can type the name in the search bar though on the Wiki to find the item. It seems to be getting better with some items though. Dungeons can be done when lower leveled. I think level 30 is when they start depending on the dungeon. Fractals, raids and strikes are for level 80 as part of the end-game content. When you get unidentified gear, it is recommended to either sell it or open and then salvage. An above tip given by another person was great of checking to see how much it sells for at the TP when it is exotics. Rares I often check to see if they sell for more than what a glob of ecto sells for, as that has a chance of dropping from the rare items. Greatswords are often the only one I end up selling for rares though as most everything else is lower than the glob of ecto so I'll salvage in the hopes I'll get the ecto.

Welcome! As others have mentioned, I wouldn't worry much about what your armor is until level 80. Because once you reach level 80, then you'll want level 80 gear and specific stats (whether you go power, condi or some kind of hybrid). My tip I was going to give was to not change the look of your armor (or weapons) as you level up. As armor and weapons drop that have higher stats than current ones, then they will most likely look different. And because we can use transmutation charges to change the look, it would be best to do that once level 80 is reached. Only mentioning this since Storm Bow was commented about. When you get to runes, I highly recommend running with all of your armor having the same rune to get the best out of them. This was something I didn't really notice or pay attention to when I started the game. And finally, definitely try out all of the weapons for your class to see what you like best. That is one of the great ways to try out as you go without having to invest in a weapon that maybe you don't actually like. One of my favorite sets for Ranger has been longbow/greatsword. But I've also enjoyed axe (main hand and offhand) as well.

Do you have trinkets? And are they ascended? Also is all gear level 80 and not just exotic. I sometimes leave my trinkets on another character or in the bank so one of my characters might not be as strong as they should. Unfortunately I play with mine as a power build and use greatsword and axe/shield usually. I was doing regular warrior for the longest time but finally got around to switching to Berserker and I enjoy the build. I've not attempted setting up a condi build yet for warrior. I did get a second warrior that I have unlocked Spellbreaker but that's as far as I got with her... I thought it would be funny to have an asura warrior hence that character 🤣

That makes sense. They've added a lot of QOL features over the years.

I cannot remember for sure what I did with my first level 80 character. I knew I was doing some of the story as the new ones came out and somewhere I think I either took a break or was not quite level 80 when the first living world came up. I remember playing Lion's Arch when it was the older map and then the newer map. I remember monthlies and those always confused me but now I try and do my dailies most days unless my schedule does not allow it. Anyways, I know I was working on map completion (I'm now almost done with my third and fourth ones) and completing story on one of the characters and doing dailies. Now it is unlocking Elite Specs as needed and getting ascended trinkets* as needed. And exotic gear. * I move my trinkets around via my bank and can go to the guild hall to access or if you have another teleport area for bank access. So I've got my Berserker set for power and the Viper's for condi. Some characters keep their own set of another random stat. Or my main has had her own Berserker trinkets so my account should have two full sets of those. 😂

I actually learned about this either earlier this year or sometime last year. My first character is like 8.5 years old 😅

I also had the infinite loading screen. I think it was yesterday that I had 5 in my play session (probably like 4-5 hours of gameplay). Usually it only happens once or twice a day at most. 5 was a bit extreme compared to usual. However, I had this issue before EoD came out. Also has been on an SSD. Windows 10. For me, when it fails to load and I get back onto the game, I'm at the map edge closest to the map I was attempted to go to. Only once did it not move me because I was already at the edge closest to where I was headed.

The only one that didn't work for me (still doesn't) is the anchor. Lists 0 underneath it. The 0 skill is still what I use for my Elite plus it is my mount ability 1 button. My mount abilities are remapped since I use my MMO mouse for many of my skills.

I thought it was lit up for when they had new items in the gem store, but mine was still lit up after looking at the gem store. No reason for it to be lit up beyond that imo.

I got stuck in one of the story instances when I used that skill as well. I did /stuck in chat and then it allowed me to be teleported to the beginning area of the instance. I just had to not move for so many seconds.
