  1. It's a lot more complicated than that. In open PvE, which is meant to be cooperative, boons are shared, fields can be applied, banners can be dropped, etc., all of which boost a player. How does Anet turn that off just for a duel? And what about duels at an event? Again, Anet separated this stuff for a reason. Edit: I'm referring to boosts from bystanders. Don't think it's nearly as complicated as you think. After duel begins restrict players from receiving benefits from anyone they aren't in party with, or anyone at all. While dueling your opponent doesn't count as a party member so that shouldn't be an issue either.
  2. Even though I kind of wish it didn't if you get the nightfury skin it hides your shoulders and replaces it with a bat aura. The bat aura is great, just wish I could keep my shoulders, though I admit a lot of outfits look better without them.
  3. While I prefer armor skins because of the inherent allowance for mixing and matching it does require more effort to create. Each piece of the outfit would have to operate independently, and that would take additional resources to produce. It likely would be pretty simple to do but the outfit was made to function as single unit and they would likely need to generate a whole new set of skins based off the original design, I don't think it would be a simple as converting. Not sure if they would really want to go through the effort for outfits that already exist.
