You try an engineer build like that today and you will almost immediately die. How do I know? Because I recently returned after 2 years and after getting accustomed to the game again tried a similar build in pvp and you know what happens? You know what happens when I'm switching to bomb kit to blind, maybe immobilize into big 'ol bomb, set up some waterfield blasts, maybe blast a light field to clear FFDSFVBGF ANDOMFGIMDEAD because a scrapper (sometimes 2 scrappers) came up to me and spammed a kitten auto attack on flamethrower. And it is like this for every class. Remember hambow warrior? I would personally say that was the peak of balance for this game. Now look at the bullkitten we have today like soulbeasts. Just look at the kitten arsenal that a soulbeast has compared to what a hambow warrior had. It's ludicrous - and it's ludicrous for every class. The combat has become so bad in this game and it makes me sad because it was amazing - but it's so far gone now that we can never see it again - it's just TOO far gone. The slow paced combat of blasting water fields for heals and fire fields for might was sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooood and how are there even people who defend what we have today? This is like runescape 3 vs osrs where oldschool has the superior combat system.
  2. Ya, no. I have managed to complete it on an xbox 360 controller so you have no excuse. You think pressing 123456789 is harder than right trigger / left trigger + left / left trigger + right/ left trigger + left / right trigger / right bumper + right joystick click / right bumper + right / etc. Get out of here
  3. Decided to try it today after returning. Wow. Wtf happened to PvP? Team deathmatch? So now everyone can drop all their skills on each other and do it again 2 more times? Conquest was better because it WAS team deathmatch except that you had the secondary objective (the main one) that actually won the game - rather than who played the dumbest builds. This game isn't street fighter - I'm sorry but it's just not balanced and cannot be balanced as there are too many skills and abilities. This is why conquest is better. I also don't know a kitten thing about how it works nowadays. Is conquest/deathmatch on a rotation? This is why WvW is good - there are secondary objectives that give people other things to do and watch out for. Street fighter works as deathmatch - GW2 does not. In fact, probably no MMO does to be honest. And deathmatch aside... the spam. The massive amounts of AOE spam. My kitten. At the start of the match? "Supply crate, ghastly breach, grav well" all dropped on you as well as 4 clones, 6 marks, wells and other AOEs littered everywhere from passive traits and other skills AND from your own team. Wtf is even happening in a fight now? Who can tell? And since this is 3 round deathmatch - repeat this garbage 2 more times? You know what pre PoF was like? (And pre many other changes like mesmer) Things were slowed down. You could count clones - you would even kill clones. You would see a telegraphed "chilled to the bone". A non quickness reaper 5 scythe. A warrior with signet of rage to get 3 powerful boons. 3 boons aren't powerful enough nowadays - you need them all. About 50% less boon corrupts and boon generation. You would, *gasp* blast fire fields and water fields. You knew the main mesmer burst (greatsword 4/blink in greatsword 2). They lacked condi clear. No insane mobility. What in gods name is a mirage even doing during a fight? Just chaotic. No AOE randomly from doing nothing. You know spiteful spirit for necromancer used to grant 3s retaliation? Pre HoT and very early game days you could trigger this against a guardians greatsword whirling wrath - it was good. Foot in the grave also existed for 3s stability - an excellent trait. You know what spiteful spirit does now? AOE boons corrupt, damage. Does it twice is below 50% health. It used to be 3s retaliation. Oh yeah, that boon doesn't exist anymore. Flamethrower or grenade spam? Have at it! Everyone has peels and escapes now. Perma prot holo? Suuuuure why not? Warrior used to use telegraphed longbow and hammer. Berserker stance? Don't use condis on him. Now? Well actually warrior is still one of the more balanced street fighter classes. Though not as much as it once was - but compare to other classes the spam isn't so bad. Mesmer mantras are a great example of this. I hopped on a mesmer and was all, "What? No precast to mantras now?" lol... now you can cast them instantly. Why not! Excessive evades as well on multiple classes. And many traits that increase endurance regeneration so more evade spam rather than nerfing the offensive spam. Engineer daze blind on dodge? Just lol... Firebrand is also ridiculous. The toolset that you have on that class is out of this world. Hambow warrior was probably the peak of balance for this game. Everything is just insane now. What is this atrocity of a thing that PvP is now? Everyone has quickness too? Lol. Remember when quickness was removed from stomps because it was deemed overpowered? It wasn't btw. But it sure is now. Let's not leave auras out of this either. It's just ridiculous now. Pre PoF especially and also HoT were so much better. You only needed minor changes back then and then things would have been perfect. There is no fixing the mess that it is now man, jeese. 😞
  4. DPS on full berserker mechanist with scholar runes (all exotics, since beta) with mace in training area golem and firebrand giving perma quickness - DPS on mechanist is almost 16k. And permanent AOE alacrity. Where's the problem?

  6. Error 80808 no matter what I try when buying gems. Whatever happened to the old in game form for buying gems? Never had a problem with that. Now there is this pseudo-looking website form in game? And I don't want it to save my information. The old one was better - bring it back please. I want shared slots while they're on sale. I want to spend $$$ but can't.
  7. I have this exact same problem on firefox. Tried disabling all add-ons and allowing everything on the website via protections. Didn't work. Microsoft Edge also didn't work. Not downloading google to try. 👎 This is a website related issue. I can allow literally everything and create exceptions for this website and it does nothing. Still get login looped.
  8. I would like another dumb item like the aviator box. You ever have an old uncle or grandfather in real life who has a really crappy boat that you need to reef on the old motor to get started? Yeah, how about a piece of junk skiff - for roleplay purposes. Randomly, your new skiff will stop working and its movement skills will get put on a short cooldown. Maybe you even have to press the movement skill multiple times to get moving again - like reefing on an old junky motor. Your character will mumble and complain and smoke will putter out of the motor. There is no benefit to this skiff. I'd buy it. Also, radios for skiffs would be cool.   9. Yep. Action Camera has many issues like this and thank god for this bug thread started by a dev because I've made posts for years about action camera. Certain skills in the game think you don't have a target when you in fact do but will not go off or will not work properly unless your reticule is aimed right on the target. Other skills work just fine, but some skills don't and I'm not sure why? Some of the skills that work bad with action camera: Ghastly Claws - It will say you have no target selected if your reticule isn't close to the target. Deaths Charge - Will charge towards the general direction of the target selected but not right to it if reticule isn't right on the target. Many skills have this problem with action camera. Please fix it already PLEASE.
  10. Snap Ground Targeting does not work for any of the mechanist ground target abilities, nor does it work for any of the other new class abilities.

  12. This bug is easy to replicate. If you are in action camera holding down left click to attack and whilst still holding down left click you use your hotkey for the "Disable autoattack" hotkey, you will select the target you are looking at but the game thinks that it is not selected. The Disable Autoattack hotkey is useful as a temporary "hold" rather than a "toggle" for those of us on action camera who prefer to play without autotarget enabled. Rather than using this hotkey as a "disable" it should act as a temporary "enable". Which indeed it does, sort of.   13. You play necro exactly how I used to play it (although I abandoned it shortly after HoT from being pewpewd by too many longbow rangers). Thought I was the only one who liked the axe/dagger combination. Everything from taking fear wall because it's underrated and actually incredibly good (cough thieves) to blasting it with staff 4. I used to have a video of me playing in a playstyle such as this against an ele pre HoT where he was doing churning earth > lightning flash and since I was in spectral walk I teleported back avoiding it - was hilarious to see. The only thing I ever really did differently was using hydromancy sigil on staff which also helped clear blind for the fear mark. I think the conclusion that I came to at the time was never use reaper shroud unless the ranger is swapped to longbow (for the stab and skill 2) however I'm not sure how well that works nowadays with melee weapons like greatsword being so strong as well. Warrior always gave me problems on necro. The old berserker stance was like... "necro runs for his life stance". I'm sure the matchup is even harder today. Nice videos, I wasn't expecting a good necro (like leaving marks on thief shadow return)

It's OK for a spec to not do both. Huge nerf to purge gyro because of some players who don't know any better. However, highly disagree with the comments about scrapper being bad and useless. Holosmith is the one that's useless (personal preference I guess) Can't comment about SPvP as I've abandoned that mode years ago but it's amazing in WvW. Scrapper does incredibly well when built offensively like the trait was intended to do (don't go full glass) The amount of numbers from heals and barriers and siphons I get on that build are nuts. No one even uses hydromancy sigil on scrapper, for example, but it does damage, chills and grants barrier.   15. It has to be upon activation because if your health drops below 50% while casting you would die. If the target you're casting a skill like signet of undeath on has poison and low health they will not fully revive. Always been that way.

  20. Elixir U only got stability back in July 2018. It hasn't even been a year and a half since then. Holo has been a top tier ranked build and a solid if not meta side choice for MATs both before and after that. Engineer existed, and has had a variety of solid to top tier builds for years before it ever got stability on Elixir U. Yes and it got the stability because engineers badly needed it for years since it's not mesmer/thief and was for a while a free kill. That stability badly needs to be returned. Nerf the quickness, sure. Holosmith can't have 1 source of stability which also requires you to land the hit. Give us ports and evades if that's going to be the case. Holosmith basically has 1 unreliable source of stability now. Reaper is more reliable in that case, and has perma quickness lol.
  21. No to everything. Complaining about a class and you don't even know what the issue is. The stability should not have been nerfed on U, either. It was a problem with quickness, not stability which was already nerfed once. You can't remove the lock on trait either because that messes up every build and engineer stunbreakers aren't even overpowered dude. At a glance, it looks like you're complaining about core engineer which is lol.
  22. So...... @"Helseth.5069" Necro has always been a free bag since launch by design. This is nothing new. I too experienced something exactly like this pre HoT when a berserker ranger would spawn camp me on necromancer for an entire game. That was when I decided to pick up a class that doesn't need a babysitter. I didn't watch your whole video but it also appears that you're running berserker on necro. Zerk necro was only ever a meme with lich form in SPvP, never run zerk necro in solo Q. If being killed over and over like this makes them quit, then they were never going to stay in the first place. You either adapt or drown in the salt. Signet of undeath is also bad and useless in SPvP for necro.
