  1. Is this event bugged? I can't do anything but water the soil, and even that stops progressing the bar after a few times of watering. No bugs show up, no hanging fruit, no weeds. Is there a special tool you're supposed to get or something?
  2. Not so much "design" as communication. I've found this a lot throughout the game.
  3. Lol yeah. The bug is actually the perfect difficulty for DRM considering the reward is little. Well fortunately for you that difficulty can be found in normal DRMs.Then they need to make the rewards equal to the difficulty. Which at CM mode, it's not, not by a long shot. Hard tasks are fine. Hard (read: TIME-CONSUMING) tasks with stingy rewards are not fine.
  4. Has anyone else had any trouble with this achievement regarding getting their character to actually swim? I have 2/3 but can't get my toon to swim. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. What inclupatus said. The spinning trees that were really popular a few years ago would literally make me seasick. I'd have to run a few paces away. I know, I know...ridiculous, but for some reason that's happened to me when I saw them. :D
  6. Mod's, If this is the wrong part of the forum, please feel free to move it. I only recently finished this achievement and got the Master Brewer's Keg. Here is what Wiki states: "Double-clicking this schematic puts a Master Brewer's Keg directly into the guild's decoration storage. Contrary to the description, it does not use the assembly device. A schematic is added to a players inventory in addition to one that is automatically consumed. This duplication allows the player to gain two Master Brewer's Keg"I went ahead and bought the one from the decoration trader and consumed it, my character went "poof" but still nothing happened. I thought this was supposed to build some sort of keg somewhere or something?
  7. "Balance the game?" It's one mere item. And a mount at that. Most of the rest of the game has workarounds for most stuff. For example "portal to friend" and/or mesmer portal for people who just suck at JPs. You can party with guildies and friends to do tough achievements, etc. and so on. So, to mollify the majority of the people who can do it with little trouble, give them some extra AP, or a starter skin for the skyscale. Don't make getting a mount contingent on something like this. None of the rest of them were.
  8. Can you expand on this a little? I don't play my thief very often, so am pretty much at mediocre level on that class. I'd appreciate any help. I can aaaaaaaaalmost get the hard set but just start hitting the "point of diminishing returns" about the 8th or 9th ball. I too have dexterity issues. Not to the extent of the OP, but certain things are just beyond my capability re: speed (funny, I'm a fairly good typist, but this is beyond me :D ) I really REALLY do not see why they decided to make this this way with no other options. It's not as if we don't put the time in, like the OP, I'm almost 7 years into the game. I can understand things like special armor, AP for hard jumping puzzles and such, but to make this the requirement for a mount? Seems like punishment to those of us who aren't fresh, young, and "bendy." :D I believe Salex is refering to the teleport/shadowstep that theif short bow skill 5 has which makes for very quick movement speed over distance, as it's almost instant from point A to point B. Ofcourse it still requires you to be quick to place and cast it, and to have no lag, but you may find it quicker than standard charcater run speed if you can get it done fast enough. The one I relied on when I did it myself was dodge roll and tbh if I had done it on Daredevil with Dash rather than Ranger that might have been more optimal. It might work, you can always try it and find out.Thank you I will. I'm trying to NOT be discouraged. So I decided to just let it gel for a while. In the meantime, I'm collecting mats for the saddle, by the time I'm done, I may be confident enough to try again.
  9. Exactly...OR, give the people who finished the ball game extra AP, or a skin or something. I mean, this isn't just armor or the like, it's a mount. And to let us get almost all of the way to the end, spend all that gold on smelly treats (for those of us who also suck at JPs), and then to find this out? Kind of a slap in the face. We spend as much time and effort on the game as anyone else, we work and grind to get that gold to help us through the parts we may not be as good at. So while we're grinding, the elite players are topping the charts with AP, all the best armor collections, and so on. It's not as if this would take anything away from the better players. So, reward them with something extra, don't punish us. (which is, I'm sure, not their intent, but it sure feels as if that's where we are).

  11. If you actually take the time to read why people have problem with this you wouldn't reply such a thing. When you have a ping averaging around 700, by the time you are given the visual cue as to where the ball will land, it is too late to process the info, and move to the zone. From my POV, I always get inside the catch zone way before the ball is shown landing. However, the sad reality is, the ball was almost already on the ground by the time I get the visual clue. I just didn't know it (even if I use a teleport skill since the skill trigger is so long its useless). And, again, yes, my very first reflex was to position myself smack in the middle of all possible landing zone and lower every setting to the lowest possible. It changed nothing. Maybe with some jedi precognition... they can't balance a game (or mechanics) for such extreme cases.while i do understand that it's annoying, it just is what it is. the skyscale has probably 100000 complaint threads. some are valid, some are not. this is the only thread about the ball. i'm pretty sure there are more people who are limited in their ways of playing through whatever reason possible. as you can see in the video that i posted, the player in question hardly had to move in easy and mediumin hard there were a couple of times she had to move from 1 side to the other. all this without swiftness/speed having speed is just a bonus but is by no means a mustFirst, it's a bit elitist of you to be so dismissive, particularly as you appear to have not read the actual issue. Second, This is not the only thread about the ball. There are several about this very issue. There are also several "out there" in cyberland that aren't in the forums. This isn't an isolated frustration for just a few people. All it takes is a small physical issue, just enough to slow you down that extra (very needed) nano-second, and the player is effectively locked out of getting this mount. Like many others here, I enjoyed the collections for the most part and was actually in agreement on the time-gating thing (c'mon people, instant gratification addiction much?), but this is just needlessly frustrating. I'm sure we can all understand gating mechanics of high AP tasks such as Jumping Puzzles, that's fair, they're not needed to advance in the game, but do showcase those with better skills than the rest of us. But to gate a mount in this way? That seems unnecessary (at best). For me? I'm lucky enough to have a very good IRL friend who also plays the game. I'm probably going to fix him a giant pan of his favorite casserole and he can physically do this for me, if I still can't get it after applying the tips I've seen in the forums so far today.....so I'll try those first...but if not, it's casserole city for my GW2 bestie. :D
  12. Although I haven't yet managed to beat this particular frustration, one thing I have found in almost 7 years of playing is that (at least for me) there's a point of diminishing returns if I struggle for too long. If I get too frustrated, I just keep spiraling down into worse and worse reactions and ability. If I force myself to just temporarily give up, and come back to it later, I sometimes find that I beat whatever it is, the very next time. What often helps (while you're giving it a cooling off period), is reading a ton of tips, watching some videos of others doing the task, and then letting it "gel" for a day or two.
  13. I wish they had an "old person mode" for some of the mini-games like this. I didn't really have an issue with the time-gated thing, in fact, after I thought about it, I actually agreed with their motives for it for the most part. But to hand-mouse gate a mount seems a little unfair. Thanks though Tainted Outcome.7481, I'll try your tips and see if they work for me. Luckily, I still have a bunch of mats to get for the saddle, so at least I don't have "hurry up and finish this last game" pressure to put on myself. :D
  14. I'm a little confused as well. Do you have to have finished all of the stories? Because I got the email, went to Sun's Refuge, and nothing. The email message states: "This content requires all the episodes of the Living World Season 4." It does not state you have to have done all stories to their completion. (except 6 of course, which is obvious). EDIT:Okay, I just finally figured it out (well at least so far, I'm sure they'll confuse me again :D ). If it helps anyone else, I have all season stories open, but one is not quite completed. Not to mention, the ones that were completed were all done on three different characters. So, apparently as stated above, you only need to have accessed the stories and completed enough to get the map (maybe? I don't know, I have all of the maps). My confusion was due to my bad navigational skills in finding Gorrik in the first place.
