  1. Im a high-end pve player just to state my biases. I enjoyed playing Willbender massively this beta, I notably loved the changes to Whirling Light – its now a super fun skill that I think fully lives up to its potential and embraces Willbenders fast paced gameplay. Overall, I think every mechanical change that has been made to the class since the last beta has improved it tremendously. I can only think of two changes that would improve Willbender further: Lethal Tempo and Tyrant’s Momentum number changes -I think the addition of a condition damage modifier to Lethal Tempo was a great decision and opens up a lot more gameplay styles with the Willbender however I think that having the power and condition damage modifiers equal each other has led to an imbalance in playstyles. I think that increasing the power damage modifier and decreasing the condition damage modifier whilst traited with Tyrant’s momentum would be the best solution for this issue -change Lethal Tempo when traited with Tyrant’s Momentum to be 4% power damage modifier and 2% condi damage modifier in pve – from its current 3% damage modifier in both styles Underwater utility skills -I think that Willbender being locked out of its physical toolset whilst underwater creates a jarring feeling where you don’t feel properly like a separate class whilst underwater since you only have normal Guardian utilities available -I hope its possible to implement even a few of the Willbender utility skills underwater so you can utilize your physical skills in any environment and maintain the feeling of a single elite spec whether you are on land or underwater. Thank you for reading and I can’t wait to play Willbender more in February.
  2. I enjoyed every aspect of Willbender as it was shown off in the reveal livestream, I look forward to playing it both in the beta events as well as the expansion itself. The only complaint I could even have is that it is merely let down by the kit of the base guardian class that accompanies it. Since Willbender is designed to use dual swords it surprises me that none of the main hand sword skills have been changed. Considering an elite spec that is so based in fast movement and manoeuvrability it surprises me that such a skill as sword 3 (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Zealot%27s_Defense) was left untouched, a skill that locks you in place and barely even lets you rotate whilst casting it. Secondarily when a new elite specialization only adds an offhand weapon it limits the new and interesting weapon skills that we can experience with the expansion. Since Willbender is obviously inspired by many thief aspects (as well as perhaps daredevil with the physical skilltype) it would make sense to me to add another feature of thief that is dual wielding. This both adds a logical reason to change the main hand sword skills as well as fitting the thief and assassin architype that Willbender draws from. Personally, I imagine a more fluid sword 3 that you could move whilst casting and maybe even synergises with the offhand sword skills. (In my imagination I picture something like so: https://runescape.wiki/w/Flurry#/media/File:Flurry.gif). This dual wielding concept could even be extended to other guardian mainhands, a new mace 3 or scepter 3 perhaps? Many thanks for reading this post.
