  1. This feels awful and much less fun. Please roll this back. Being able to keep the buffs for more than 2 hours is nice, being able to load them faster is also great but this timeout makes open world MUCH less fun. Please roll this back.
  2. The Jade buffs were a welcome and popular addition for open world players that made combat more fun and reduced grinds. Open world balance cannot and should not be measured in the same light as competitive and instanced modes where the buffs are not allowed anyway. For casual players, esp solo players the buffs were a nice optional boost for players of any skill and disabilities.
  3. I feel that for the overwhelming majority of players combo fields are something they don't understand at all and any use of them is a happy accident. With that in mind perhaps a refactoring might be something to talk about.
  4. For PVE Heal Alac Scourge is my fav build please don't mess with it except for buffs. For WvW I don't know why anyone would use it.
  5. There is still no reason for me to use shortbow over mace / shield in PvE.
  6. Came to check this as well as have been down this road before. Might be time to add more space eh? Hint hint, nudge nudge
  7. For all of the infuriating and misguided choices you guys make on a regular basis it's nice when you do something like this that reminds me why I'm still here. Thank you Anet.
  8. There is no reason to nerf hearald but they should have buffed the kitten out of the range on everyone elses buffs to make it fair. It's insane that FBs are still 180.
  9. Adaptive Armor is ruined thanks. Function Gyro was something to pull out in emergencies now it's just one more key to hammer mindlessly and hope for the best. If it was keeping people alive too well in competitive nerf it there but stop punishing PVE! kitten and saying it's for shortbow? Shortbow better be seriously different than the last preview because it was beyond worthless. What is wrong with you guys??
  10. Mirage is doing a little too well in WvW so we're going to nerf it in PVE. 🥺
  11. I'd also pay for an item that let me combine all my gobbler gizmos into 1 MEGA gobbler, like Gleam of Sentience, or even just being able to add more things to gleam
  12. I'd pay 50 bux for an item that could contain all of my portal books and scrolls, like the LW3 and 4 tomes and scrolls for Arborstone, Wizards and various lounges.
  13. It just doesn't feel like it belongs there to me, give the leap to Greatsword, it would be more use there as you say. Nobody with a range weapon from a bow to a rifle ever thinks, "Boy, if only I could get within a few inches of my target before I shoot them"
  14. These were some of the better weapons I tested. The animations felt a skosh long giving a slightly weighted down feeling and the radius of the effects is much too small and could be greatly increased along with some of the buffs and healing to compete better with the weapons it is hoping to replace. The Nature buff felt like a bridge too far, most of the new weapons seem to suffer from the desire to over complicate their usage. (eg. engi bow and necro sword) The values could simply be increased by 25% and we can get on with it.
  15. It feels like these were made with PVP in mind. I don't know why I'd want a range weapon with a leap in PVE, it's like a sniper running up to you and sticking the barrel in your chest before firing. The damage and utility wasn't very good for all the extra button presses you have to do and the flux your health is at. Healing yourself before you harm yourself feels like putting the cart before the horse
  16. Everything about shortbow is bad. There is no situation where I'd want to use this over Mace/Shield. It is clunky, overly complicated, non mobile, and gives not even remotely enough benefit for the uncomfortable usage it demands. I would rather we got nothing than have Anet waste time supporting this terrible weapon.
  17. Most of us can agree that combat in GW2 is not in a place that many people are happy with. From my point of view combat has veered too far into piano playing for its own sake. We are at at a point where you must constantly swap weapons and hit buttons in combat not because conditions of the fight favor a different weapon or require that skill but because it is step 12 of a 35 step loop. To me that is madness, it is humanity aspiring to become a flesh macro. To me it sucks the fun out of combat and replaces reacting to mechanics with boring muscle memory. I think a better way would be to put the bulk of your damage in your auto attack and reserve the other skills for mechanics, things to be held in reserve for things like blocking, breaking a defiance bar, taunting, healing, riposting, opportunity attacks, shadowsteps, short buffs and other general "oh kitten" effects. Focus on the fight, not your fingers.
  18. I've been reluctant to spend any time trying to refactor most of my builds after the last round of nerfs and it seems silly to spend the time and gold if there is another round coming in the next few weeks. Can we get a date of when the next major balance patch will hit?
  19. Is your argument that nerfs don't affect casuals because they they don't have arcdps? Also, who's speaking for casuals now dude? It sounds like you're doing the same thing. You seem to be claiming a lot of insider knowledge in that last line. Are you a secret Anet employee? Is this CmCs alt account?
  20. They always do this. A few people get a high DPS on the golem and the pearl clutchers start screaming for a nerf that will only really hurt casuals and normal players.
  21. No. You teach people how to interact with you. Anet has consistently ignored and mislead the player base over their existence. The only thing that has ever even remotely moved the needle with them is massive outrage and controversy. Players have learned over years of conditioning that sending nice and well reasoned suggestions or even questions on here or reddit or twitter that they will be summarily ignored. Even threads with dozens or even hundreds of replies don't warrant even a 1 sentence reply. Do you know what that tells players? That Anet doesn't care what we think AT ALL and that makes about half of us feel hurt and the other half feel angry. If people didn't care about this game there wouldn't be any anger or passion that you've been railing against. The opposite of love isn't hate, it is apathy and it is what comes after they ignore us for long enough and we give up. Angry players are a warning sign, a symptom that Anet has allowed our relationship to fester and if they don't change, you will get your wish,. the only people left will be their cheerleaders because the people begging to be heard, to be acknowledged at all, will finally give up.
  22. It was and it was clear as day. There is no point in continuing this, you've made yourself clear.
  23. That's what you said. The players were not nice enough and complained so Anet ignores us and we deserve it for being awful spoiled children for saying anything about the game that isn't mindless fawning.
