So this is meaning that is not a bug but feature? Too bad this isn't in a item description then. How can a regular player get know about this before buy?

Glyph of Reaping does not work in friend's home instance. I bought three copies of this glyph and cannot use them as I expected. This can be used on your own home instance, but cannot be used on other players' home instances. and since I bought those glyphs to use in my friend's home instance, I ended up with useless items that also quite expensive.
