  1. See, this is why MMOs and games in general are getting so ridiculously easy nowadays, people apparently can no longer handle anything with any sort of difficulty.
  2. People do need to understand one little thing. ANet has REMOVED animations rather than fix them. Do you guys REALLY think they'll make brand new ones for a Dwarf playable race? IF they add another playable race, it'll be Tengu or Largos mostly because their animations are already there since we see, interact and even fight them in-game.
  3. The same could be said for greatswords themselves. IRL, they are used more like polearms. In GW2 (and most fantasy settings for that matter) they are used like a woodcutters axe. So, realism already being damned, bring on the scythe skins. Where were greatswords used like polearms?
  4. Have you seen what the animations for Greatswords are? Giving those animations a scythe would look extremely bad. At best, Reaper Shroud and maybe Revenant's Staff animations would be the closest things [and, you know, there's scythe skins for the staffs anyway.
  5. People saying Jormag and Primordus seem to have forgotten that the Living Story wrote them both off by stating that they were so weak after Balthazar absorbed their magic that they went back to their pre-awakening status. Unless a gigantic amount of magic is suddenly unleashed, those two won't be coming back for a long time.
  6. WoW is much older. So? What does that have to do with having a reasonable competitive scene?
  7. PvP-focused MMOs usually fail, so no, it wouldn't sell itself on different media for long. The combat system and the game itself allow for competitive gameplay imo. But the balance system and the game modes don't. Don't forget that this game had a reasonable competitive scene in the past. So did WoW, to the point of having tournaments for quite a while, yet it stopped for years.
  8. WoW has the giant lore from the Warcraft series to fall back on and is THE reason MMORPGs are even a thing, you can't compare it to GW2 where important lore characters are added just to kill them off.
  9. PvP-focused MMOs usually fail, so no, it wouldn't sell itself on different media for long.
  10. They also said there will never be mounts and that the trait system was originally the reason why they removed the dual class system of GW1.
  11. I don't know what are you on that you really think WoW and FFXIV have worse graphics and art design. Really, GW2 having better graphics and art designs than WoW, FFXIV, ESO, Tera and especially BDO? Art design is subjective but gw2 has better graphics than wow.Agree to disagree then cause i enjoy the cartoony graphics of WoW, especially after they've spent a ton of time and effort [you know, what ANet doesn't do cause it won't make immediate money] since Warlords of Draenor reworking everything from the models, the animation and even the actual particles of every single skill. In the meantime, ANet won't even have unique animations for the races, with Sylvari, Human and Norn using near-identical ones for everything [while WoW has had unique animations for every race and gender since the game released].

  13. Nice work comparing GW2 to the biggest MMO in the market for years that has the entire 3-game Warcraft series behind it. This game does need a GW3 eventually, with a better engine, a much better grasp at what they want the classes to be since they seem to have forgotten and a better story that won't devolve into "have an Asura fix things".
  14. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD WERE GETTING STUFFFFFFF! IT NEEDS TO BE ARMOR SKINS I can bet you anything it will be a Gem Store outfit.
