The design philosophy was changed all the way back in HoT when elite specs where vastly superior to non-elite specs and from a "Play how you want" and "Not like others MMOs" and then they started to do exactly as other MMOs do anyway. The wizard vault dailies and weeklies kinda suck not in the rewards department but in the you only have 4 dailies and need to do ALL 4 or miss out on the daily which sucks for anyone who has not begun progressing through expacs they own. An example is that I have access to EoD but not been to Cantha yet......and have missed out on dailies at least 3-4 times because it wants me to do a mini dungeon, meta or kill enemies of that area. Now imagine someone new gets the game and all the expacs then hits 80 and can't do their dailies or weeklies because of this. A-Net just doesn't seem to be the company it used to be.
  2. Their sole purpose just seems to be to sell or to break down for mats (to sell). Same goes for exotic gear since by the time you actually get it as a drop it is either not the stats you need or you've already bought a full set with the amount you've made from sell all the trash. This is the unfortunate side effect of horizontal progression, once you get a full set of any set of exotic gear then you are basically done (in terms of none high tier instanced content).

  4. If you can't take it seriously then I wouldn't bother trying. I pretty much gave up on the story during HoT and just play it for the main characters I like when they appear.
  5. Hibernating in her golem until whatever new set of writers they hire remember that she exists.
  6. We've seen stone summit dwarves make a return in IBS so maybe they will throw them at us again? The gods returning could be an option but it would basically just be HoT all over again.
  7. What I think is their biggest lore mistake would be that they don't seem to have had a plan for the story as a whole which causes a whole mess of lore inconsistency. Biggest for me though is how they dealt with the gods, it just felt like they had to come up with something to get them out of the picture so slapped together what we ended up with in some kind of last second rush.
  8. I assume this is from since the game started so I can see it being right for that time scale.
  9. I've tried and given up 3 times on crafting a legendary. The whole process is just too tedious like for part 2 of Dusk it wanted me to craft around 250 of something and that was just for 1 of the like 13 or so things I had to do just for that step. Like I didn't mind having to craft but they really do push you to the limits of boredom and tedium with their crafting in general.
  10. Because it bases the dailies on what your level is capable of (So basically everything once you hit 80 since then masteries come into play). And to try and get you to do more than just sticking to the most profitable places for a time.
  11. It's an interesting idea but then we'd had even more cash shop items than we already need. Because knowing ANet they wouldn't make them earnable in game (outside of BL chests anyway).
  12. I mean it can work like in ESO where you tick the box of which role you want to apply as. But doubt they'll add it because it'll shatter that thin veil that the game doesn't have roles 🤣 The biggest flaw I find is that they have set up great opportunities for both content and lore then fail to build on them.
  13. Thanks for reminding me, sucks that they are resorting to these tactics. Seems like a completely different company than when they originally released the game.
