  1. I hate the arcane wave change with a passion. This was my favorite skill, because it was quick and could be used at range. Why do you have to shorten the range of everything ele? Please dont fk up this skill like this. I dont want to play melee. See you next time.
  2. Arcane wave change is garbage tier meleebrain. They just make everything ele shorter and shorter range because of the dev preference. See you next year
  3. I believe we won't know until we try tbh. We at least need more people on the balance team that enjoy and play wvw, because it is the hardest mode to balance. I didnt know that he played willbender. From a balance perspective that is quite bad, but I honestly think gvg'ers care a lot about balance, and often dislike boonballing. When I played gvg in the past, our favorite thing was to try to win versus many with very few (when outside of gvg), using all available options min/maxing. I believe the mindset is still the same for those kind of players. Playing like that you become very familiar with the nuances of the meta and the value each spec can bring. The only problem is if they then just want the balance to get worse, in order to fight even bigger numbers with even fewer. That was not the case that I saw, it was mostly requests like "fk arrowcarts" and "low target cap is really bad".
  4. I've accepted wvw queue pop during the last 25% of time to accept. I did that 5 times in the last few days, and almost all of them fail (have to requeue instead of entering). Anyone else experience more of the same recently?
  5. Vote Roy Marks for president. He is a fellow wvw enjoyer. I'm guessing he cannot currently demand any balance changes though, because seniority and Excel balance...
  6. Yes! It would be a huge improvement. Although for me it is even more important that we get CC's and blocks etc into the combat log. Now it is now not included in the combat log, making it impossible to see "how was I pushed just before I died?", unless you visually see the person casting the skill and recognize it, or figure it out based on knowing all the possible push skills from all the nearby professions (lol..). These flaws are so huge, but never talked about and I dont understand why. I believe it should be quite easy for them to change this, since it seems to be filtered/hidden info from the combat engine and the amount of extra info we ask for is minimal.
  7. Asking for more Chain CC because balance is bad will just make the game worse (negative spiral). The stealth comment was in general and not for ranger specifically. In ranger stealth is only a problem in certain druid bunker builds where the total survivability is just stupid. I agree that the meta is much worse after continuous too large damage nerfs to everything except a few latest and greatest (with expac). They have a lot of problems to fix in the current meta as you mention. I have never before seen so many untouched cheese builds and so weak core professions in this game. WvW balance is much worse than pve and pvp as always.
  8. Lol thanks for the laughs. I post in a thread I made with info not mentioned before... Such shock, such conspiracy much wow. Also "Ressurected" is not the right term, look it up. I'm posting here to help to help anet have a balance that keeps more players engaged. No high expectations from me though, since they willfully ignore relevant repeated (e.g. these 14pages) feedback about outlier specs. Possibly Trig and Roy can help put the current excel sheet balance logic in the trash can. Maybe this is the last time I bother to give to give them any feedback, and instead just play the most OP toxic spec, and then troll the forums with gaslighting together with you. Alternatively just not play.
  9. Too much hard cc (and stealth) is toxic, especially combined with fast spikes. Especially when the games doesnt have diminishing returns, or proximity stealth reveal. This is also even more true when fighting in smaller numbers, without the boon spam (of stab) to hide these game mechanic problems.

  13. Just make it 5 target, with a bit more damage instead. I'm pretty sure those high target caps affect skill lag as well. Also that new hyena pet seems bad for lag in wvw.
  14. I have never seen these kinds of texture glitches before (going dark). Do you have something in common? Windows version / GPU / driver? For me, I play on Win 10 with crappy graphics card. Did you recently update the graphics driver? On topic: server lag has always been an issue. Its only really bad if its 60v60v60 in sm and everybody spamming skills. Atleast it is equally bad for everyone. It was also better in 2015/2016 or around that time, because they had more powerful servers, and then I remember the reduced performance when they moved to amazon.
  15. I was complaining a bit about the priorities in that post (due to lack of WB nerf). I wanted to add that quality of the balance changes was much higher this patch, with some huge quality of life. Much more postive changes for WvW than usual too. I believe we can thank Trig and others for both of those. Looking forward to great changes from him going forward. QoL changes for ele staff please?

Your point and my point may both be true, because there are many things that are broken. I said nothing about what is under and overpowered about ele except lightning flash being really weak. You need to stop desperately gaslighting an obviously fair arugment, wth 🤦‍♂️. To borrow your logic, nice "blue class" main posting bro. For wvw, willbenders are OP for zerg diving, OP for roaming and OP for 1v1. I will also play willbender all the time if they dont touch it, further degenerating the gameplay for others. I'm posting here (stupidly?) hoping they listen to valid feedback, and actually fix the outliers.
  18. I'm trying to call them out on their thus far limited but very biased departure from the principle of having low damage on skills that also give cc, movement, etc. As established feb 2020. Yeah weapon and utility is not equal and not a direct comparison, but give me a break. I hope you still see how incredibly overloaded / overpowered Advancing Strikes is...
  19. Although you seem clueless, and stuck on the details I will reply. I wrote "e.g." because the exact suggestion will probably never be used, its just an example. I dodge just fine thank you. Seriously though. Compare Advancing Strike with Lighting Flash for example. Giving advancing strike the "ele treatment" would literally mean a damage reduction of 89% from the current. Both movement skills both deal damage. Yeah lightning flash is placed freely and has slightly longer range, but advancing strike has aoe immob, aoe slow, combo finisher and a much lower cooldown (and is a weapon skill so you still can have a utility). Advancing Strike (20s cd) Quickly dash toward your foe and then shadowstep to deliver a debilitating attack that first slows and then immobilizes your enemies. Damage (2x): 366 Slow (3s): Skills and actions are slower. Immobilize (2s): Unable to move. Number of Targets: 3 Combo Finisher: Whirl Range: 750 Lightning Flash (35s cd) Cantrip. Teleport to target area. Damage: 80 Radius: 120 Range: 900
  20. they hire a ranger main so suddenly it is getting half the updates? Their priorities are wrong imo. Way too much dev personal (biased) choice on what to fix, often resulting in to little of what is really needed. This is not new either, it was always like that. The ranger pet changes and some others were very good changes though, but still. And yeah staff needs an overhaul bigtime

  22. Arguing on the internet is stupid, but to you good sir, I have to say this is rich coming from a guardian player. When did you ever have to learn to play the game. You get the easy mode and dont even know it.

  24. @Josh Davis.7865 please play more and/or listen more, and be more clear about future intent. I.e. here "Yes, we know that willbender is too tanky with too high mobility for wvw, and we will adjust this in the next balance patch, ##/##/2023".
