  1. A shield would be fantastic. Something a bit more cc/engage oriented to pair with the dexterous sword. Could be grand with the throwing axe as well for that close range control. I'd certainly like to see a power focused specialization no matter what. If going with a shield, dumping a bunch of barrier into it in return for a real pet-less class would be pretty awesome. Like a warden of nature. I'm game for a rifle as well! As a power weapon. Perhaps like a shotgun? Something a bit shorter than the longbow but with lots of area of effect. A cone based auto attack instead of a projectile one would be super nice at 600 or 800 range. If we're rolling with a rifle, the pet's gotta stay.
  2. This! Old Lions Arch pass! Maybe make the edges of the map dip off into the mists instead of being blocked by cliffs because that might explain why we are in a different point of time.
  3. A longbow with an 'arcane archerer' theme would be fantastic! Especially since a high pure-crit long ranged 'elite spec' isn't a thing yet. It'd be properly different from tempest and weaver. A higher focus on mobility for blinking around and the like might be neat too, with more soft-cc focused attacks on the longbow attunements to help keep the enemy at range. (And to differentiate it from the staff which is a bit more aoe/support focused.) However, I did vote for a rifle purely because I want to see some type of Napoleonic light-armored rifle-user. I have no clue how it would work though. My original idea was to give it shouts so it could be like a rifle wielding field commander shouting orders in their brightly colored fancy coats. But tempest has shouts and that's as far as I got there. Arenanet is incredibly creative when they do set their minds to things though, and I would absolutely love to see them take 'elementalist rifle' and see what happens.
