  1. Anet please, remove traps/buffs those sorts of things but let us keep boons if we prestack them. You effectively killed swiftness and might prestacking in fractals and dungeons.
  2. You can have high ping or as you say "bad connection" for multiple reasons, this being one of them. I also wouldn't suggest this if I didn't know it would alleviate the issue. It helped me and 3 other friends from different countries when each of us had ping issues in GW2 and/or other multiplayer games. Though our ping problems went away over time. The banning part I can't comment on as I don't have enough experience or information from the past about it. It's a risk, but it won't hurt to at least try once or twice in order to further troubleshoot the issue. Permanent usage of VPN is something they'd have to talk to Anet about to get accurate information.
  3. Try 2 things: 1. Get any decent VPN (for free) and log into few different countries like UK, Germany, US, France etc. Do it before 8pm hits and see if you get the same massive increase in ping. Changing the country will most likely increase your base ping but that's normal, we want to see if it will spike at/after 8pm. 2. If you're on desktop and have WiFi card, connect to your phone's hotspot. Same as above, see if the ping will spike at/after 8pm. If your PC doesn't have WiFi card, buy/borrow one of those USB WiFi adapters. If you don't get ping spike with either of these methods then the issue is with your ISP and the way your connection is being routed to GW2 servers during those times. A fix would be to contact ISP (obviously...) and see if anything can be done, change ISP, use VPN to route yourself to a different IP/location.
  4. True. Though it doesn't look well when you get a re-confirmation (a week before release) of the information you were told and shown three weeks ago. I'd say it's safe to judge. It's highly unlikely they'll changing anything but the pricing (and that's a big if) in a week's worth of time.
  5. How would you balance/fix/buff it? With 10+ players you have 4-5 different combo fields put down at once. If you're in a coordinated squad you can still make good use of combo fields as before. This is also true in 5 man content. The combo fields are plenty strong and balanced there.
  6. Anet decided to take the gear away from the inventory and have it be stored in the equipment tab. The technical limitation of this implementation puts the limit of allowed templates to 6. A person can have more than 6 builds, especially so if legendary armour comes into play. Removing the "gear is stored in the template, and not in players inventory" removes this limitation just like ArcDPS templates did. There you can have "infinite" templates because the gear is being replaced from inventory to the template. tl;drCurrent implementation prevents you from having more than 6 builds because gear is taken away and stored in the template itself. Removing that feature allows people to have unlimited builds just like ArcDPS templates did.
  7. One of the features mentioned in the blog post as well as the yesterday's guild chat is the possibility to keybind build and equipment templates. This is great as it removes the need to have the Hero panel window open in front of you blocking the view and also it makes switching either of the templates simpler and quicker. One thing that I'd like to see is a notification somewhere on the screen telling you which build or equipment template you have selected and equipped. Considering that build and equipment templates are not linked and will require separate keybinds, and there are 6 of them for each category of templates (totaling 12) it could take a while before player remembers which keybind is what build for any of their characters. Of course, such notification would be optional so as to not annoy those who won't have such problems. Here are some quick examples how the notification could be displayed once the player has pressed a keybind linked to a template: Chat based notification - personally I would prefer something like this, with an option in the chat window to enable/disable it Screen based notification
  8. Nice evolution you got there. Going from near unlimited templates to being limited to just 6 per character. And don't even start with "3rd party plugins don't count", "I only need 2 templates what's the problem", "you can still manually switch gear" arguments. Having more templates wouldn't hurt you one bit. Having less templates hurts those who have created and are using multiple builds for different game modes. And yet another nice example of your "evolution". Going from automatically to manually switching more than half of the builds on some characters. New templates are more inconvenient than the current unofficially supported solution. Also I didn't even mention price as being a negative thing, which seems to be biggest gripe for most people. Other than that, the system they have in place is great. It just sucks so much the limit on gear is 6, and you can't even buy more if you wanted to. That's the worst part.
  9. I'm well aware of the additional features we are getting with these templates. And they are great for players that never used templates before. For those that have 10+ gear templates per character, the features are meaningless if the templates themselves won't be affordable in order to continue using them as we have for well over a year. I doubt I'm alone on this. If the price is right, then these cool features will just be an icing on the cake.
  10. Will the templates be purchasable per character or account similarly how inventory bags and shared invetory slots work? Additionally, Please reconsider lowering the price of both build and especially equipment templates massively or adding more templates in the bundle of whatever price you have in mind. Most people that do WvW, raid, or do fractals have multiple templates per character they use in those game mode. On top of that people with legendaries have x2 or 3 more than them.As an example I have over 30 templates spread across 9 characters that are fully geared for raids, and most are for fractals too.How much would these 30 and more templates cost me in gems? 6,000? 9,000? I'd have to compromise until I could accumulate the gold to convert to gems just to get back the same functionality I have right now with 3rd party templates. As for irl money to gem conversion look further down.Delta's arcdps templates are currently the most important QoL feature that is available to me, and your implementation at the moment will severely reduce the QoL your templates bring, if your price them wrong. Currently 2400 gems cost 30€. That's the price of an expansion, an expansion that should have templates included in it as ONE of the many features in the expansion. These templates should not be locked to 2 or 3 per character. It would have to come with option to create dozen and dozen of templates as the player wishes. You cannot price the templates at more than 30€ in order for us to have something we already have with 3rd party add on. The templates shouldn't cost thousand and thousands of gems or hundred of dollars/euros just so that we can have 10 templates per character.
  11. All I'm hearing is:"I/My group can't pull this off, we don't want to practice this, so others shouldn't be able to do it." Although this is most likely a troll thread.
