  1. Hi, I am looking for a guild that offers T4 fractal CM training. I've done T4 many times (got F.savant already), but just didn't have a chance to get into CM yet.I am also looking for a static raid group for weekly clear. I am experienced in W1-4, W6-7. Need to polish more skills in W5, I admit. Can play power DH or holo, mirage, power boon Chrono, support tempest, and Fb heal. Message me in-game vermouth.3478. Thanks
  2. Bring back the staff weaver stacking and scourge epi stacking
  3. Absolutely love it! It kinda reminds me of The Witcher 3 soundtrack a bit, but that perhaps explains why I like this boneskinner soundtrack so much.
  4. Time: Well, it took me almost a year from the first time I crafted my first ascended armour to the time I finally finished crafting my first legendary armour. It is time consuming but I quite enjoy the process. The key is be patient and make a realistic goal. Raid: Search for a raid training guild. That's what I did. It is more reliable than just joining LFG group titled 'training'. Economy: Well, the way I see it at least the game gives you some options to obtain some nice stuffs. For example, Black Lion Keys. I just can't be bothered farming the key by farming low-level story over and over again; might as well buy gems to buy keys. On the other hand, I don't mind crafting a legendary weapon from scratch because I find it quite fun. I am not a big fan of farming gold like SW or Istan; majority of my gold is a mix from doing meta, fractal, dungeon, raid, etc. Maybe I don't earn ton of money, but enough to let me get many nice stuffs within reasonable time. Gem Store: IMO, gears from gem store can be overrated (not always, ofc. I own few gears from gem store as well). Sometimes, they can look too much and I do not find it appealing. 95% of my gears are not from gem store and I am quite happy the way they look. It also reduces the chance of having similar look with other players! Boredom: I get bored from time to time but because there are so many goals that I have not achieved, It makes me want to play again the next day. I have 9 characters for each profession and I'd say I enjoy half of them. So, If I get bored playing one class, I can easily play another character to mix it up a little.
  5. If you have arcdps, you can check and compare that the main damage from axe shatter mirage is coming from torment and then confusion. Scepter mirage would be mostly confusion.
  6. If there is no commander, people are reluctant to stay. So, if you are really keen, just tag up and ask two other players to tag. I always find at least one lfg group and if there is none, you can put lfg there. It fills up very quickly 5 minutes before the reset, in my experience.
  7. If you want to comment on OP’s personality, send DM to OP not in the public space. It’s better that way so the discussion is not getting distracted from the substance.
  8. Hey, thanks for the video. As a suggestion, I think for benchmark purpose you need to set only 10 conditions as the other three are quite unrealistic to keep it permanently applied (fear, immobilised, and blinded). This is especially true for power holosmith due to modified ammunition. Benchmark video in snow crow also only used 10 conditions for power holo.
  9. I am a forever scrub but I can suggest that what you need is a buddy that will help you transition from T2 to T3/T4. First month doing fractal, I was stuck at T2/T3 because I was too afraid doing T4 but then my in-game friend helped me boost my confidence to try T4 and now I am doing it daily alternating between dps and healer.
  10. I had a similar issue with you the first time I played this game a year ago (used to playing an assassin-type of class for high dmg). I died so many times doing story and the dmg was not that high etc etc etc. I created a second char, Necro, and omg I couldn't stop playing this game till now. I do have all professions and love them all. Probably my most played character will be Necro for dungeons and open world, Holosmith for fractal and raid, Firebrand healer for fractal, and druid/condi SB for raid. However, I feel like at the moment thief has a better place in PvE compared to a year ago. I've seen many thief players (mainly daredevil) doing very decent damage in dungeon, fractal, and raid. I haven't tested thief by myself in high end PvE content though. Back into your question, I'd say power weaver (S/D) is really good for PvE as it's pretty good for fractal and raid. It's squishy but if played right you will be the top dps. However, I don't think weaver will do good in WvW where you need survivability (unless you are one of that top player that main ele and can just outperform all classes :p ). Tempest may work in WvW but may be not meta. In theory, power revenant may work in PvE but it won't probably optimal in fractal or raid. I personally rarely see them in fractal or raid. However, alac renegade has found its place in fractal and raid. It is a renegade build with diviner stats so your job is not only doing damage but provide boons (mainly alacrity), however it needs to be paired with firebrand that can give quickness. Condi renegade, however, is doing pretty good in raid. I believe revenant is meta in WvW (hammer herald). Mirage is useful in raid esp for bosses that favours condition over power. I won't recommend mirage for fractal tho, but I know few people insist bringing it into fractal. It's just that fractal favours burst damage and condi dmg takes time to tick.
  11. Hmm, I can't say much about WvW, but Power weaver (S/D) offers better burst damage than power rev if you are talking about raid and fractal but weaver is quite squishy (with a good healer, I don't think it's a very big issue tho). However, there is a renegade build used for fractal and raid with diviner stats so its job is not only doing damage but ensure permanent alacrity. I honestly haven't seen people playing herald anymore in fractal/raid.
  12. I am so sorry for my late reply, have been busy with rl work. Answering your question, Iboga outside of the beastmode will inflict confusion. I think the same applies to Lynx giving bleeding. When you are in the beastmode, you won't inflict the condi automatically so you have to use the new skills to inflict conditions (F1-F3). Merging with Iboga, I will press all three; Merging with Lynx, only F2-3 bc F1 doesn't apply bleeding, If you somehow get bored with short bow/short bow rotation (too ez, lol), try shortbow/ dagger-torch. It deals significantly more damage but you need to go melee when using dagger-torch. You also need to pick Quick Draw in the Skirmishing trait (so that you can use bonfire [torch-5] and poison volley [shortbow -2] more often) and Ambidexterity in the Wilderness Survival trait (gives 240 condi dmg and reduces cd of dagger - torch). Hope you are having fun with it, if you choose to try it out :) Looks very fun to play! I haven't tried out the shortbow a lot, I think it would be nice to try the two of them out with a condibuild! Thank you for the explanation of the build, I will definitely check it out (I gotta get some dire or viper gear first tho haha)!! Only got one question left about your use of the beastmode, so you said the Iboga pet gives confusion and the Lynx gives bleeding, do they inflict this when you're out of beastmode or can these effects also be given when in Beastmode (with the extra pet attacks you get)?Thx for the reply :)
  13. Just want to give an alternative build in case you are bored playing power ranger and don't like to play melee. As a ranger, I only play condi soulbeast shortbow/shortbow esp for raid (bosses that favours condi build) and meta-event PvE (like bounty run or dragon's stand). So easy to play and you can kite enemies from range while keep applying condition on them. I use this build but with viper gears and trinkets and weapons (all ascended), but as a starter you can use dire as it gives you toughness and vitality (which will turn into expertise (condi duration) with taste for danger trait in Wilderness survival. In my opinion, if you don't like to fight in melee, condi build is your friend because it doesn't punish you that much while you are in range. As a pet, Lynx will be the first choice as it deals a lot of bleeding (when you are in beastmode), but Warthog is also nice if you need to do more cc. For enemies who like to use a lot of skills and move a lot, Iboga pulls ahead as it deals some confusion stack (example, the djinns in PoF maps). Most of the time, I stay in beastmode but if you are under-pressure I find Iboga is better when you are not in the beastmode. As utilities, I like stances. If you are alone tho it might be better to get strength of the pack for your elites and shout utilities (like sic em or protect me). Due to Light on the feet trait, you want to flank enemies (side or behind) as it gives you more damage.
  14. Seems like you are searching for a raid/fractal group? My guild usually runs a weekly raid training group and it doesn't really matter what classes you choose as long as you pass the dps test (which should be easy to achieve with meta builds and rotation). I usually play power holo for raid and fractal and no complaints so far. It's in EU server btw. Just pm me if you are interested
  15. Lol, agree with the previous comment that staff is really useful for tagging mobs at farming event
