  1. I play with the wife and son, my boy and I got a code but I can't seem to get a third code for my wife. If someone can get a code they don't need I could pass it on to my better half!
  2. I think the templates bring some good benefits for some people but sadly Anet didn't think this the whole way through so it to the detriment of some other groups as these different groups don't necessarily play the exact same way. While there some good things it definitely needs improving sadly I do not think Anet will improve it as I think they want more gem sales which I think many people playing the game will encourage.
  3. Yes it a little ridiculous and annoying having to join quit , join, quit etc because the "map" is full. Dunno but you shouldn't be able to join a squad if their map instance is full I think. One thing I don't get though once the map is full why don't squads take the down the squad advertisement? Personally I do not put up lfm advertisements as I am too new to the game to feel comfortable leading one.
  4. Here' a fact you keep leaving out. When someone buys gems expressly to buy gold off of the exchange Anet earns money. Your argument should take this in mind as we have been saying from the start the exchange makes Anet money as it helps fuel gems sales. No one ever said people just farm gold to help anet, no one said people by gems only to sell on the exchange and no one said the primary reason people do these things it to be "helpful" or support anet, it still doesn't change the fact that this helps fuel gem sales and thus help Anet make profit. If the people buying gold off the exchange cou

  6. Actually it does exist because of donors and good will.. Do you really think the games costs cover the games upkeep.. No its because of us donating money to get gems through our good will.. But they do make money when people buy gems to exchange for gold. The exchange rate is reactive. Every time people buy gems with gold, it moves the exchange rate in favor of gems (that is, gems can buy more gold), which makes it cheaper to buy in-game items with fixed gold prices, like icy runestones or the griffon mount. That implicitly raises the value of gems, which entices more people to buy them. A

  8. The more ppl collect/spent gold > they gem-gold conversion will skyrocket > more ppl will lured to buy with real money .This is based the ''study'' that so many ppl was trying to convay to me right ?I see the light now ... i must farm >skyrocket the price .Wanna do it together , or you are with the ''passifists'' that dont want to do their part ? Again no. Maybe you should go read up on what a strawman fallacy is?
  9. No this is wrongYou are not grinding gold , to help the ppl that are using real money .You are grinding gold to get an item , even if that from a NPC , or trading Posts or the Gemstore .The person that is using the cash is rewarded for some extra goldAnd you benefit from the Gemstore as a goldsink+the ability to get itesms without paying moneyThats an ecosystemYou will never know the person whos is paying , not he willIts just bussness What next ?PPl that not bothering with with farming gold and simply login to play the game , they are Oathbreakers ? Again another fallacious argument. The i

  13. I think the problem is not all the items in there will be considered convenience items. I have zero problems with cosmetic items but some of the stuff in there is kind of necessary if you are serious about the game and wish the be anywhere near efficient. That's a whole other debate though needing it's own thread

  17. I am asking youWhy do you think , that because you can manipulated the gems that is inserted into the game (from 1 x player that already payed them) , what makes you a player that offer any finance support to the game ?You manipulate the gems , you have read some ''studies''that you dont understand , and you dont know how to answer based on they studies you already did This argument here is a strawman fallacy. People using this fallacy are trying to narrow down the context of what is being said, to narrow it down to one to one simple transaction in which technically you can say Anet made

That implicitly raises the value of gems, which entices more people to buy them. A person that does 10x Raids get 200 goldA person that pays will real money will get 250 goldSo if some1 wants some small costs item from the Trading Posts , he better of go farming , because
  19. It's the same difference because the gems both will come from the same source, like I said you are being petty and pedantic simply to try and say "I was right and you are wrong" when actually you are simply refusing to acknowledge that Anet gets their 100$ regardless. In one process it involves more steps to the transaction is all.
  20. I already answered that question go back and read. I will say it again you can't just exchange gold to gems in the narrow definition like you would have us believe happens because all transaction in the exchange are via 3 parties. The seller, the buyer and Anet. You simply do not see Anet's part clearly. Anyways I had enough so you can go troll someone else kid.;)
  21. I am trying to help you. Do you really think when you use the exchange to buy gems the only person you are dealing with is the other player selling the gems? You are not. Stop being pedantic and trying to prove that you right over some petty technicality when the technicality you think you are using is false.
  22. No. If you buy 8k gems with this "fantasy currency" (the gold) someone bought cash shop currency (gems) which cost 100$. The only way your argument works is if it was done like say in DDO where you can earn turbine points simple by playing the game and releveling alt to earn more TP simply by playing the game. Then in this method you could say some transaction where the TP was grinded for in game and generated in game made Turbine 0$ In GW2 however you can't earn gems by grinding in game you can only exchange gold for gems in the exchange if someone buys the gems first and puts them up

  24. Sure it has, to be specific if you bought the base game you paid for the content then you buy the HoT expansion should reasonably expect to get all the story up to the end of Hot instead Anet double dips and hides some story in the living worlds seasons so that going from core game to HoT you are like WTH is going on unless you fork over more cash for the seasons, that's double dipping. If you believe people are not being conned into over paying with this "game as a service" malarkey that's your opinion... OK. You do that
  25. ...snip...Only entitled people sit there and think of reasons they shouldn't have to pay for a product or service offered by a business. What I said in my previous post, point in case right here. @IndigoSundown.5419 I have been playing video games since the late 70's I can assure you what is considered b2p now is a corrupted greedy little con as cash shop are showing there heads even in some single player games but it wasn't always like this. When I say double dipping I am not targeting Anet persay I am speaking more generally, about mmo's generally and how the market has changed and become
