What does this have to do with what I’ve said? The issue is that Guardian longbow #3 is a ranged CC that can be fired behind you. Revenant can not fire Shortbow 5 behind themselves despite doing the same exact thing, and Forced Engagement was NERFED so that it CAN’T be fired behind yourself even though they buffed it years ago so that it could. This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic lmao, we’re talking about Guardian Longbow 3 and Revenant Shortbow 5 If Anet doesn’t want skills to be fired behind the player then fine, change Guardian longbow 3 so that it can’t. If not, buff everything else so that it could. The Guardian favoritism is palpable here.

Guardian long bow 3 can shoot behind you and knockback enemies, and it pierces Revenant’s Forced Engagement was changed so it can’t, and it was changed to target one enemy now Revenant Shortbow 5 can’t be shot behind you and does the same kitten as Guardian longbow 3 in that it knocks down player. Anet we all know you main Guardians, but the least you can do is allow balance consistency to be across ALL professions. Fix this kitten

Ancient Echo on Jalis effectively makes the elite obsolete. It’s the same effect just 2s less, no energy cost, 1/2 cast time and gives 25 energy. Good start, but hopefully this shows Anet that Jalis is really in need of an overhaul next. All the core legends aside from Shiro need some heavy updating.

And why would it be power mainhand axe? What would it possibly achieve that mainhand sword doesn’t? Would it be hybrid like offhand axe? Then that would mean the next elite spec would have some condi elements, but it’s unlikely as we just got Renegade which is used both by condi and power. Thread is not misleading, by process of elimination the most likely weapon is GS.

Put it simply, we will get a new weapon to fill a void the class doesn’t have. What does the class have currently? A two handed power burst melee ranged weapon. So what are Rev’s options? Let’s knock them off, the next elite spec will not be supportive or condi since we already got Glint and Renegade for those roles. It will have to be a power based build. ❌Mainhand axe: Will it be condi? We already have mainhand mace for that. Will it be power? We already have mainhand sword for that. ❌Focus: Already have shield for defense, would have to be compete with both condi and power core offhands to be usable with the mainhands ❌Warhorn: Glint already a support spec, Renegade arguably also ❌Torch: Would have to compete with axe, we already got a condi elite spec with Renegade ❌Offhand mace: Can’t be condi because we have Renegade, we already have our one handed power set ❌Longbow: Already got shortbow ❌Rifle: Already got hammer for long range dps ❌Pistol: Not aligned with Revenant theme ❌Torch: Already got our condi elite spec with Renegade, would compete with axe ❌Daggers: We literally already have an assassin spec, and sword sword fulfills this role ❌Scepter: Again wouldn’t be condi because we have Renegade, wouldn’t be power because it lacks synergy with Rev’s only two offhands ✔️Greatsword: Power based spec, would fulfill Revenant’s missing two handed melee damage based weapon. Wouldn’t clash with any synergy core offhands have. Tl;dr: Next elite spec will be a selfish power based spec, because both Herald and Renegade are support the latter being condi. Let's hope Anet focuses on gameplay instead of shoehorning a female legend for the sake of having more females. Balthazar legend and we hold the GS like he did would be sick.
