  1. The wiki has handy lists for trinkets and backpacks.
  2. Since the credit card payment problems began I've changed to using the paysafecard option and it has worked without any issues so far. You can find the countries listed in this news article: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/paysafecard-now-accepted-in-gem-store/ Basically it works as you were buying any gift card or code card. Find store/kiosk offering the service near you. Go there, ask for it and pay the sum you want. You'll get a receipt with a code in it (worth the sum you paid) which you can then use to pay your online purchase. There's also an option to make an account, download the app (paysafe direct) and use it to choose a sum with a barcode which the store scans and you pay. It will go to your account balance which you can then use to pay online.
  3. Indeed, I think many people didn't read or missed/skipped the purpose of this initial dx11 beta in game update notes: "The goals for the initial implementation of DirectX 11 are stability, visual, and performance parity with DirectX 9. Most players will likely see negligible performance improvements at this time." So this is exactly the phase where you should expect visual bugs and crashes to happen. For me the beta has been quite steady so far, altho I do not have much time to play and experiment with it. Had one system freeze where I had to reboot. Haven't seen any graphical issues but I hear there are some with missing textures (boxes) and weird colors. FPS is better but not as good as with d912pxy. Smooth camera rotation is major plus for me, and also the skill/ability effects seem to be more fluid now.
  4. I'm using 1440p 21:9 with 1080 Ti 11gb in windowed fullscreen mode without issues so far. Refresh rate capped at 120Hz, GW2 set to use monitor setting. Had some lag issues the other day but I'm guessing those were connection related since they went away.
  5. Yes, got slight average fps boost even without dx11 enabled, bigger with it on. Not as high as with d912pxy tho. The camera rotation and skill effects are also smoother. @WeeCapo.7402 Did you read the latest release notes? Here's the important part about the dx11 beta: "The goals for the initial implementation of DirectX 11 are stability, visual, and performance parity with DirectX 9. Most players will likely see negligible performance improvements at this time."
  6. There is no end date yet for the dx11 beta. Saturday is the elite spec beta end date. From espec beta news post: "Please note that the beta characters will disappear on September 25 at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-8) at the end of the event.."
  7. It is only the beta test for dx11 so feel free to turn it off and wait until they improve it.
  8. Not a new thing to get outside the play area, altho I did it with skyscale. Also works in Tangled Depths and in Divinity's Reach you can get inside the "hollow" walls and outside the outer wall. DR is a floating city like Dalaran, I've seen it!
  9. It's only the beta test phase. From the patch notes: "The goals for the initial implementation of DirectX 11 are stability, visual, and performance parity with DirectX 9. Most players will likely see negligible performance improvements at this time." You can still use d912pxy if it works, just remember to turn off the ingame dx11 setting before you do. Also, are you using character model limit lowest/low? That setting has a big impact on FPS.
  10. Looking at this reddit guide there's maybe three but one you can skip with springer.
  11. From the dx11 news post: "The beta will begin 21 September 2021. You can opt-in to the beta in-game in the Graphics Options menu. The change takes effect after restarting the game."
  12. For some of the jumping puzzles you might need to go thru portals but you can skip those with extra pungent treats.
  13. The Balthazar fights are the hardest in the story since he is the main villain and a god of war and challenge. There is no shame in asking for help. I've helped many guildies with the unwinnable Balth fight and even some who asked help in /map chat. If you try to solo everything in MMO game then you will have hard time. For example some hero points in HoT are not meant to be soloed, altho they can be with the right build.
  14. The War-Torn Marauder Warclaw looks the best imo, but sadly it's not in any of the licenses.
  15. Should be possible since there's already item like the Home Portal Stone.
  16. For classes with easy rotations the build Gibson linked is very easy. Basically just autoattack and dodge/swipe/vault (staff 5) around and use other skills when needed. I'm using Signet of Malice to give it even more sustain. Another easy one is the classic minion master reaper (necro) or maybe double shortbow soulbeast (ranger) which has no specific rotation, just use the skills off cooldowns.
  17. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scarlet's_Rainbow Really like this skin. Likely as close as you can get having one.
  18. For some reason that reminded me of.. How much is the fish? que Scooter As for the OP's question: I'll likely get the achies and then fish every now and then, especially if there's chance to get some other goodies by doing it.
  19. In the end of the prepurchase page it says: WINDOWS Minimum System Requirements Windows® 7 or better (64 bit only) Intel®i3 3.4 GHz / AMD Athlon x4 3.8 GHz or better 8 GB RAM NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 680 / AMD Radeon HD 7970 / Intel Iris 600 series 55GB available HDD space Broadband Internet connection Keyboard and mouse Note: Due to potential changes, system requirements may change over time and you may be required to upgrade your current system (or obtain a new system) to continue to play the game. There's also help page article with somewhat lower requirements for EoD (likely not updated): https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/201862958-Minimum-System-Requirements
  20. Here are some official numbers from Anet: https://www.guildwars2.com/en-gb/news/celebrating-nine-years-of-guild-wars-2/ Last time they released some (when PoF launched): https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/the-path-to-the-desert-in-numbers/ So from 11 million (players) to 16 million (accounts). I'd say that is an increase.
  21. Charr band vs. Human band! Continuation of the war by musical means! May the best toot win!
  22. Great idea! Still remember the (Elite) Tauren Chieftain concerts in Wow, loved what Blizzard did with those. Also this!
  23. There's also a mod called d912pxy made for GW2 which translates the dx9 to dx12. I got 20-30 fps boost with it but the benefit depends on the system. The upcoming "engine upgrade" is a change from dx9 to dx11 and the beta for it starts September 21st.
